Lie: A falsehood uttered or acted for the purpose of deception; an intentional violation of truth; an untruth spoken with the intention to deceive. It’s not a lie to emphasize success rather than failure. He doesn’t hide the fact that there has been great sacrifice.

Context is just a real pain in the ass sometimes...

I don't believe he portrays it as an unqualified success. He is very clear and realistic that there is a long road ahead and that we are fighting a dangerous and determined enemy. He just also makes it very clear that we are also very formitable and determined and that we will ultimately succeed. Unlike Kerry who has already accepted defeat in his mind. It is understandable, with his background, why he would take this stance.

It's not very "honest" of you to say that Bush is "lying" when he talks of the achievements in the war. Our troops are accomplishing much. It's also not very "honest" of you to say that we've "abandoned" the Sunni triangle.

You just destroyed my image. I was really thinking more along the lines of females. Not guys running around with the ass cut out of their jeans. Damn...

Gotta be ready at all times. I wish sex was that accessible and readily available in the human species...

Sounds like many around here want the "quick fix", "instant gratification", and "what can you do for me right now" without the work required for a real solution with long term success and victory. Who wouldn't? That is usually just fantasy, however. Real things are rarely that simple. It takes time and progress is being made.

Sounds like a good interrogation technique.

Engineers & Physicists... Geez!!! At least you're not a lawyer.

From Harvard?... Not likely. Still wouldn't call him an "idiot" or say that he's only got a "3rd grade reading" comprehension. I understand if you were just venting and saying unreasonable things off the top of your head.

Either way, you'd have to be pretty smart (not an “idiot”) and have better than a “third grade reading level.”

I live in Georgia. I know several Physicians who speak with deep Southern accents. Doesn't mean they're stupid. My wife is an OB/GYN Physician. She has a slight Southern accent. These are people, I dare say, with just as much higher education as you. And it wasn't "given to them." At least, not to my wife. She's brilliant and a sponge when it comes to learning. I wouldn't perpetuate the false stereotype that most in this country place on Southerners. It just doesn't work across the board. It's not the accent. It's the mangling of words and the inability to complete a sentence that brands him semi-literate. That is NOT a southern trait. A couple of the Physicians that I mentioned are also not very good at organizing their words and ramble quite a bit. They're also not very good in front of crowds or with working directly with people. One is a Pathologist and the other is a Radiologist. They are still extremely smart people. You just might not know it talking to them on the street without their Doctor garb on.

Could you have bought that over the internet or did you actually have to put a considerable amount of work into it?

My 1 1/2 year old really likes ice cream. My favorite thing that he says now is when he eats it too fast. He tells me, as he's pressing his palm hard against his forehead, "Bain feeze Daddy"..."Bain feeze." So, when he recovers, I give him some more.

Oh, I think you'd be suprised to learn that it works just like buying a degree off the internet. Just with a slightly higher price tag. .jim Do you have a master's degree?

That's what Daddy's are for... I have a 1 1/2 year old. I also have one who's 9 and another who's 6.

You know...I noticed that the other day and just didn't say anything about it to my wife. I thought it might just be the camera lighting. I was wrong. He looks kinda freaky. It would be different if he was truly an outdoorsman or had a reputation for working outside but his is obviously, if not ridiculously, fake. At least he's consistent, however, with his insincerity. Predictable (i.e. tell you what you want to hear or show you what he thinks you want to see whether he believes it or not).

You two need to quit-it. You're embarrassing me...

Get your own silly name I don't know....but this just isn't cool at all. I found this site where you enter the first letter of your first name and the first and last letters of your last. It produces a new "silly" name for you. Mine is Poopsie Hamsterfanny. What the crap is that?!?...
