  1. I have the old (version 2) version. As soon as I run out of what I have I am going to purchase it. Love it so far.
  2. We have a NCO in my shop that would come in wearing capris (we sometimes get a civilian clothes sunday while we're deployed) You would figure after the first dozen or so times of him getting ridiculed for wearing them... that he would stop, nope! Not this guy! He has several pairs too... Trying to get that Section 8? To the OP: I have a pair of Fox MX pants - $45, and while I don't look as cool on tour as the kids in manpris, my legs are protected, and they are not uncomfortable. Also, in the swoop shorts, if you slide on your outside calf while you are learning, you're gonna be in for nasty road rash.
  3. The way my body feels monday morning after a boogie.
  4. One way or another shit talking karma will get you killed.
  5. Congrats! Don't sacrifice too much in life to jump. Huge debt may be more pressure that jumping can relieve. Otherwise, HAVE FUN!. Remember your priorities now: Look good, Have fun, Safety third. And kick Andy in the shins for me.
  6. Not true!!! I didn't say non-existent dear.
  7. The quality of those available to be stalked on this site isn't what it used to be.
  8. Why thank God for causing a plane to crash? Quit pretending to be retarded.
  9. Big metal D - from a canopy wrap - jump 293. I now have a soft handle - doesn't really matter to me, it just came this way on the rig I bought. I dunno what I will get when I get a custom - low profile metal or soft.
  10. I worked in a hospital for a number of years. It happens. And that is all I'm saying. Yeah, I'm not telling stories online. You catch me at a boogie with a few beers in me? Well...
  11. Yeah, I think DUI here comes with a $3000 civil penalty on top of the criminal fines. Paid over 3 years.
  12. Nope. But I've fucked/gotten blown at work. Makes for a better shift.
  13. Watching that gave me so much more respect for people jumping those canopies.
  14. Why would that matter? you are saving a life, maybe there's more likely an innocent person! It matters a lot because a person may have actual knowledge or is just being a prick. The person may be making a rightful judgement or an uninformed assumption. It's a tough call to hang up your own spurs so I would understand why some people push it. It would also be humiliating as hell to get a call from the DVM telling you to do so just because some prick down the street thought you were "old." I don't think it works like that Paul - Deedy and I do this from the perspective of a medical evaluation and determination of fitness to drive. If you called up the DMV and address confidential concerns about someone's driving as a private citizen, I can see them maybe making you come in to have a driving fitness exam, but they could not pull your license outright.
  15. Patient... Have done it on more than one occasion. I hate to be the guy taking away people's licenses, but medical reasons (uncontrolled sz d/o, etc) to keep the rest of the driving public safe outweigh their wishes to keep driving. Sometimes it is temporary, sometimes it is permanent. Also, I failed plenty on the DOT exams, not because I don;t like them or don't want them to drive, but the DOT has quite an extensive restriction list about who is allowed to drive commercially. Edited to add: I always tell the patient that I am doing it, and not pull something sneaky behind their back.
  16. man, spandex like that would be like trying to fly with a pilot chute hooked onto your head. it's already a noticeable drag with something like a full flat top setup. You may be onto something though
  17. I do recall someone mentioning that it was raining GoPros at Summerfest.
  18. Your three hours to late.
  19. A canopy is only as accurate as the pilot hanging beneath it. It is going to fly you exactly where you tell it to. A more aggressive canopy is only going to get you there faster.
  20. ok... but it looks like he is in a fairly hard right hand turn at that time and may just be trying to even it out? I don't doubt that's what he was trying to do. How's that saying go? "Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want." Should he have waited it out longer? ..and do you think the outcome would have been different if he didn't pull down on the riser at all? I only have about 150 velo jumps. He may have benefited by waiting it out longer. He may have felt the need to steer it more. It does appear to have the right side fly around rapidly and spin up when *it appears* he gives a fairly radical L rear riser input with the brake still set. I've found my best opening are to pitch evenly, neutral body position, and let it do what it wants to do and not screw with it. I have my hands on the risers to provide myself the option of steering if I have a need to, but rarely do anything other than hold them lightly.
  21. Sure, but the vig is a point a day. I'll take jewelry as collateral.
  22. to a friend or family member, to you run the juice? If so, how much?
