  8. I really don't want to get into an argument here (I think we all agree that the fighting is not going to get anyone anywhere) but *technically* the Jews were there first (before the Muslims) and got exiled during the whole Pharoah thing (we all saw Prince of Egypt.) The Muslims moved in there later. The English then decided post WWII that the Jews should have a homeland and decided to move the Jews to what is now Israel. So technically the Jews were there first, and technically the Muslims were there first because they got booted when the English moved the Jews in. Look at it however you want, both groups were there first. Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

  11. OK, I am Jewish and lived over in Israel for a bit and have to say that "they" are mostly good, no wait, great people who have very similar views on peace. I often found myself in Arab villages (pretty obvious I was the only Jew) and never had any sort of problem. It is the fanatics and radicals (on BOTH sides) who are causing the problems and hindering the peace process. These radicals just want to see the other side destroyed and will not accept any middle ground. I have witnessed bombings over there (the bus I normally rode on in Tel Aviv was blown up by a suicide bomber) but I hold no grudge against "them." It is the few that make the many look bad. 13. One of my all time favorite books is Shogun bu James Clavell. He has another entitled Tai-Pan which which is also quite good, but not as good as Shogun. I would guess that you have read it (them) but if you have not it sounds right up your alley. It is fiction about when the English first made it to Japan so there is a good historical aspect and a HUGE military aspect as well - excellent book. As far as Chrichton goes I would recommend Sphere, Great Train Robbery and Andromeda Strain. I can't wait till the fifth Potter book either... 22. The canopy itself is much more consistent on openings. It is, however, much more sensitive to body position as well and very unforgiving of an unstable deployment. If you were to deploy both canopies 100 times from a stable body position the Stiletto would open much more consistently than the Sabre. I jump a Stiletto 135 and hate jumping Sabre's because I never know what to expect from the openings whereas I always have nice soft openings from my Stiletto. 25. I think (almost) everybody is in agreement about velcro-less to save the break lines. I prefer dive loops to dive blocks because they are bigger and I got my fingers stuck in dive blocks once when coming out of a hook which scared the crap out of me. Not sure exactly how it happened, but I like the loops better now
