sorry Rob, I found humor in that. my pics & stuff!

never thought about changing the alt for when it beeps if the lz was different. I have 2 of them, one since I started jumping and have NEVER had a problem with it. As for the battery, I just find another 6v battery that's the same size and go from there. They are cheap and I can find them just about anywhere. my pics & stuff!

here's a refection shot. my pics & stuff!

i agree....and just curious..why did you need a manuel. A caveman can operate it. my pics & stuff!
-
....why use PS for sharpening...are the other programs shitty when it comes to this step? Do you get loss of quality when you sharpen on lower end programs? my pics & stuff!
-
your fired for having gaffers tape!!! anyway, I agree it's bullshit that a video guy supplies ALL his shit and gets paid less than the hungover TM that shows up with NOTHING, grabs a student altimeter and goes to the plane. my pics & stuff!
-
maybe cuz I'm slow I guess. I had the first beta version, and after working the raw files, there was no option to convert/save. Just print. I looked and couldn't find anything to let me do that...maybe I just missed it. my pics & stuff!

i agree 100%! Plus, my back doesn't hurt from arching to keep up with the fatties. But really, it's what works for you. If you can't get low enough on the tandem and still keeping them in frame, then you either need to start stretching a LOT, or fly on your back. Nuttin's uglier than a tandem student's video of the instructor. my pics & stuff!

correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the lightroom basically copy your raw files into another folder (i'm sure there's an option to turn that off) so it doubles what you have on your hard drive? And, isn't it only good for printing? The verion I had, there wasn't an option to save/convert what you just worked with. I didn't like it. my pics & stuff!
-
yes, that's true. Another option (still free) is downloading "rawshooter essentials" (something like that). Someone posted that one a while back. I tried and now really like it. my pics & stuff!

the close call was due to not enough exit separation from the 4 way behind us. I'm filming an 8way team, dumped in place and turned the canopy 90 off the line of flight. Out of habit (from it happening before) I start looking for the group that got out behind us. What do you know, they somehow ended up above us. The lens doesn't do justice, I could see the eye's of one of the gals as she tracked over me. Had they taken the dive lower, I'm sure there would have been a 5way collision. It scared the hell outa me. my pics & stuff! -

will video suffice? my pics & stuff! -
as a rigger AND an owner of an infinity....hands down infinity! Easier to pack, and I think looks MUCH better. Even a shade tree rigger can make an infinity look decent....but with a wings it can and will look like shit. my pics & stuff!

WANTED!! pictures of malfunctions
linestretch replied to lenka's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
i have 3 vids on my website www.linestretch.net of cutaways that I've had. Feel free to save as and then you can get screen shots, or just show them as they are. They are all the same mal, spinning linetwists on 3 different canopies. my pics & stuff! -
like this? And yes, the reserve was packed that way....with the steering lines NOT through the slider. my pics & stuff!
-
dude, you don't wanna date a skydiver. Once there are issues between you two, then you'll have to deal with it at your fun place. It sucks ass. my pics & stuff!
-
pic #1 made me think it was a raven...ie dacron lines and the way the bake lines are attached to the toggles (never seen a PD with dacron lines) pic #2 shows that the brake lines (yes...both) are not routed through the slider (self explanatory) pic #3 shows the odd way the brake line cascade is done. Don't recall seeing anything like that....on a PD reserve anyway. pic #4 just shows it's a PD. hope that helps. my pics & stuff!
-
What are you referring to bad stuff?...I can for sure see the misrouting being bad (HUGE actually)...but if that IS the original lineset (which I didn't know some PD reserves came with dacron lines), is there anything wrong with it? Can it be packed up the way it is (fixing the mis-routing of course)? my pics & stuff!
