I TRIED everything from bag all over to shorts to my RW suit when starting to sit. Go put that RW suit on and try some sit...see how it feels I was all over the place but who isn't when just learning. For me as a girl, I wear capri bottoms (fitted) and a long sleeve shirt but not one that has tons of drag. I think since I have learned to fly my legs more so then baggy clothes, it will be helpful down the road. Just have to go try things and see what feels best for you. I am backtracking and trying to recall names of OFFERS I got back in the day. So are ya still coming to Aggieland and do the offers still stand? Yes sir...I'll be there Thursday night. Flight gets in at 7:43pm. Not sure if everyone will still be hanging around by the time I get there but if not, I'll see ya'll Friday bright and early. Regional Director...can I just tell ya how big a deal that was for me. Things like that I like to remember....It is definitely a very personal thing. To each his/her own! My log book is more like a journal for me....of course there is all the pertinent info but I also write down who I was with, what the weather was like, comments that were made, first time someone nabbed a kiss pass.....all that fun stuff. At 113 jumps now, I can say I plan on keeping it going because it is great fun to look back and laugh at. Do you remember the first time someone asked YOU to sign THERE log book and you could not remember your license #? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Any discounts if you buy blocks of jumps? If so, what might that be? I doubt I'll be able to do much coaching jumps (cash is tight) but I am going to jump like crazy, hope someone will want to tag along and play and just practice, practice, practice! I'm thinking I owe lotsa beer and would LOVE to come back to Deland and "pay up".......Let's see: First canopy control class, first complete canopy stall, first slide in on my butt landing, first rain in freefall and under canopy, first Porter jump, first night jump.....Oh yeah - I owe beer!!!! AND MUCHO BIG THANKS to Skymama for reminding us to check our Cypresses, since I know mine was off and so was TB99. It was worth having to untape a glowstick and slide the rig off to know that "in the worse case scenario" I would still be ok. I think I am still basking in the excitement of the weekend....only thing missing was that PROMISED jump from a Mr. Chris Hayes who SAID he'd be there Saturday. RRRRrrrr .....now he owes me BIG TIME! Sorry about your hard opening and canopy "snaff-foo" but glad you are on the ground safely and able to talk about it. I've oftened wondered how things will go for me when I have my first reserve ride - I'm guessing it will go like every jump except maybe a bit more exciting... and then you get to the ground and talk about it to whomever will listen. oh yeah - guess technically we did get 5 points huh......Good fun! I bet it is going to be just as awesome in the early AM hours and watching the sun rise as it was to see that big moon lighting up the sky. Have fun - be safe! It seems just about every time I visit a new place, there is something that makes it "something you'll never forget".....but then again, we are jumping out of planes - not many people can say that either. I had to stop by Sebastian on my way home just to say how much fun I had in Deland! I had no plans to jump...I was tired as all get up and my wallet is empty also worth all the fun though! Take care TB99 - keep in touch and I'll hold you to the freefly jump. I'm jonesing a bit after just one weekend of no freeflying. I can't wait to get back up and start playing again..... Hey all.....I did a canopy class with Scott Miller during the day (which started at 8:30am) then jumped and "learned" all day then prepared for nights jumps and did both mine as well. Fozchek was a life safer with her bad ass glowstick necklace idea and then I had Skymama sitting right next to me for support on both loads. I have just over 100 jumps and was pretty "anxious" about it but everyone around Deland was so helpful and comforting and concerned about safety that by the time I reached the boarding area I was more excited than nervous. All the hype and all the anxiousness went away once I was under a nice clean canopy and unlike Skymama, once I knew where the landing area was, I took time to look around and enjoy where I was. Floating in the big beautiful night sky under the stars. HOLY SHIT - can you say INTENSE?! It was a gorgeous full moon! Granted I got a bit TOO caught up in the sights and started me approach a bit late so in sticking with the "flight plan" and not wanting to mess things up for anyone else I opted to land BEHIND the trucks in a nice brightly marked corner of the airport about 30 feet from everyone else. No biggy - someone followed me so we high fived and cheered it up that our first jumps were a success. Probably my best landing of the day (and no one could see it...darn it!). My second jump was a 2-way with TB99 and it was cool. First off this was my first (ok - now second) jump out of a Porter and it was small. Then I was jumping with someone I didn't really know AT NIGHT. IT WAS AWESOME and I consider our jump a success. Went out with high grips (him floating), then we released to wrist grips then after we hung out a bit (in the moonlight....) I forced him back to high grips so we could say we got 3 points. Think it was pretty darn close - protrack sounded at 5, we waved bye, I managed to land about 10 feet from him, in front of the truck lights this time but took a slight knee cause I flaired a bit high....oh well, I made it to the ground safe, with big smiles and happy memories of my first night jumps. It was a great weekend and thank everyone, especially Skymama for "showing me the love". Once again proving that skydivers everywhere are just cool ass people. Sebastian has been great for me and the only reason I am traveling now is just to keep fresh.....ya know - unfamiliar landing areas, different climates, new people, etc. Sebastian is great.....and what a pretty ride to altitude. Well perhaps I should skip trying to stand right now and get someone to help me with all the other stuff. This is what I can say I have a handle on: Falling straight - check Maintaining heading - check 360's/stop - check Need to work on forward and backward movement and picking up speed if I need be (adjusting sit)..... OK - baby steps , now if I could just find one person who would be willing to devote all there jump time to me so we could work together. Where is my Greg when I need him.....RRRrrrrr!
