Well let me be the first visitor to say that I had a FABULOUS time and could not be happier about the trip. I wasn't sure what to expect from a smaller DZ but the people were great, the vibe was upbeat and I believe that everyone hit the goal they set out to achieve....Texas record attempt, Training camp with Sugar Gliderz, working on new skill sets, and meeting new friends. Big thanks to Kathy and Todd for the hospitality and to ALL the staff around Aggieland for the warm welcome throughout the weekend.....I don't want to start thanking individuals because I had SOO MANY memorable moments.....not sure one thing was better than the other but my very first CRW jump - which I was the first one to do it for the weekend - and downplane frigin ROCKED. Can't wait for the pics....HINT HINT Queen B . OK - thanks to PilotMike for my first Cessna ride, thanks to Cabana boy for the Cessna jump, thanks to Perky for the first hug and ride back to airport, thanks to Pablo for the BEST hug (lived up to the legend my friend ), thanks to Levin for the Headdown attempt and turn on to Catfish and CRW, thanks to "packer Steve" for the smiles, thanks to Aggiedave for the "fun rides" to altitude...bla bla bla.....I could go on forever and EVERYONE made my trip awesome so don't feel left out - I love all ya'll ....We'll all talk again soon. The sappy side of sunnydee123 almost came out when Kathy started the goodbye hugs but I sucked it up, BLINKed it off and shed no tears...I'll see you guys again - you are ALL friends now and friends don't just come and go. I was glad to meet everyone and I am sure, somewhere along the line, I will either be back or will see you guys around my neck of the woods. Thanks for the info.....if anything - I normally understate my abilities just because I want my jumper partner(s) to be very aware that anything can happen....duh. I also have a very good eye in the air and keep my eye on all things (or try to) hence why I've probably done so go......"look where you are going kinda thing"......if I lose someone on exit I search until I find them and normally before I think about it I am there. HEY....I'm heading to NJ July 18th and was mentioning maybe stopping at the Ranch a day......someone said I MIGHT not get a warm welcome. I was hoping typical new yorkers do not apply to skydiving new yorkers. Care to share any comments, concerns, rude remarks? Yeah....I was thinking more like 12 hours but JumpKrmr says from Deland it is only 7 hours. I think he is on drugs but who am I to say - I've never made the trip. Gerogia is a big ass state to get through and then there is SC.....I don't know where he gets 7 hours from. Can someone help me here so I know if I need to slap some people around. We were planning to leave around 2pm on Thursday and get there late but I want to get SOME sleep for jumping Friday...but then again we have all day Saturday. YOU'RE EXCITED? I got NO sleep last night - going over everything in my head that will happen in the next few days and making sure I have all I need. I have my rig, my helmet, my camera and the clothes on my back - worst case scenario I'll be wearing the same thing all weekend. Well I just finished packing and hope I remembered everything. Can't wait for 2pm tomorrow because at that point, I will be on the way to the airport. Getting there early to make sure I get through check points with rig....never traveled with it before. Then I'll sit, try to relax and maybe read a book until boarding time....Is it time yet?
