Can't wait until I get added to the website (and become famous....) after the SummerJam in Aggieland....I'm gonna be a picture taking fool..... AND THEN when Chris shows me his stuff in Cross Keys and I finally get a bad ass freefly picture for my wall, watch out.......I'd be happy with a nice sit/headdown spock......Lots of work to do. They are very cute and an absolute joy to have...........................UNTIL THEY GROW UP and poop on the floor RIGHT OUTSIDE of the litter box or scratch holes in your furniture or sabotage your fish tank or decide to eat and eat and eat and then PUKE right in front of ya. Hmmm...not sure what I think. Ticket up, yes but gear rental? Granted she should have turned it on since she was off student status but the instructor who did her ground gear check before boarding should have ASKED if she turned it on. I know they always did for me. Mistakes happen - better for her to learn now (early) and not let it happen again. During my night jumps, after starting the day early, someone asked about the cypress time (how long they stay on). It made me think. I was all geared up and on a 5 minute call but I knew I was close to the cut off so I took off what I needed to in order to get a check and it had shut off. Never can be too safe! Help the newbies out....until the newbieness wears off.... Dreams become reality, one choice at a time... -
Think it is that tacking you are referring to because I see where the actualy strap is sewn and that is not it....this is just a thick piece of thread, over the snap and threw the leg strap, maybe 3 times on each side....I am confident now that it is just for holding it in place, not securing it to the rig but I'll still have it looked at when I get to Aggieland. Thanks bunches - now I won't stress so much! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I was given an older rig when I started skydiving a few months ago, the rig has the leg straps that have those big hooks on them (think someone called them B12 snaps or something). I was just packing my rig for a trip and noticed that the stitching on one of the sides of the buckle has come out. The buckle is hooked directly to the leg strap and I am guessing the stitching is just to hold the buckle more stable but is it a big deal....should I get it fixed before jumping? It looks like if I had a big needle and some nylon thread I coudl do it myself...not sure how to describe it......Think I'll have a rigger check it once I get to my destination and before I jump. Anyone have an idea what I'm talking about.....??? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Just figured there had to be SOMETHING I could do on the ground to give me an idea what it would feel like......FYI - I am not the best stander on your header.....ouchie! If I could just find a pal to jump with me over and over and over and over and hold me until I could feel it......I'll figure it out....thanks for all the info gang - you can be sure I'll let ya know when and if I feel it, kinda like I did with my sit. First, let me say I am in no rush to start FOCUSING 100% on headdown, still got lots of playing to do with my sit but let me ask.....would standing on your head and learning to balance help you at all when it comes to headdown? Just wondering. I'd love to think I could possibly transition from a sit to headdown and then back to sit...even if I can't really hold headdown. Or should transitioning be just maybe doing a cartwheel and getting back to sit? Just asking......

I actually want to do them again so I can enjoy them more.....First one was a "get aquainted with the night" kinda thing for me where all I did was one front flip and then just held neutral... Second one was RW and wanted desperately to get at least 3 points and just hang on. Next time I want to really have some fun in the air now that I know what to expect. My biggest fear with all of it ......just wanted to make sure I knew where the landing area was before I jumped. Nothing else really got me too worked up...but the gang at Deland were also a huge reason for that. GREAT PEOPLE watching out for everyone!!!! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time... -
I have always loved the canopy side of skydiving since I started...granted now that I am more comfortable in freefall that is giving me much joy but thinking CREW just got my tummy doing all sorts of twists.....in a VERY GOOD WAY! I think it is something I will definitely consider, especially since it doesn't cost anything extra ...Just have to feel confident that who is doing it with me will tell me all I need to know before hand and make me feel safe...Gosh - that is so a picture I would need but don't think I will be close enough to the ground to get that one, even with a super zoom. I'm ALL ABOUT having pictures of "firsts"....Gosh - can the thought of this weekend get any more frigin exciting?!?!?! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Yee-haw......I think it might be pretty gosh darn fun to learn those dances but what if I don't have boots? Will my feet still work? Maybe we could aim for Friday to play since I won't be in until late and am sure I'll be beat after working all day and then flying in that nasty recycled air...... See ya'll soon! okee dokee.....adding DJ to the list. FYI - be warned that I am hanging the camera some where I can grab it when we walk off the landing area so I can snap pictures of whomever jumps with me. I'm a dork like that and want pictures, not to mention signatures in the old log book of everyone who makes my trip special...... Is it Thursday yet? See you guys then.....
