But, he says he didn't even lose the 2020 one!
-
For someone who sucks at math (sober) and is wrong so, so many times here, you sure sound like a certain someone
-
Actually, maths ability is unaffected by alcohol. That's a really lame excuse
-
Victims of wokeness tell their harrowing stories
-
OK grandpa...(eyeroll)
-
LOL I missed this exchange, but it looks like my judgement of the troll's math ability (or lack of it) was absolutely spot on.

So I looked this up, and Wikipedia shows that he's the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to the President. So...his "leadership" is giving advice to the President. I don't think that's actually leadership, the President is the leader. The actions of his org is conducting basic research, so I'm not sure why he should be hated for that. HOWEVER...he did provide scientific advice back in 2020 when the actual President had no leadership ability at all, so maybe that's why...
-
And what actions were those? The ones you've been misrepresenting?
-
Honest question, why Fauci? Of all people to hate on, why him? It seems just bizarre.
-
Right...the title of that article was "US could reach herd immunity by summer through vaccinations alone, CNN analysis finds" Read the article, nothing. So I watched the video, and it was Fauci presenting his calculations as rough estimates, and I quote: "...so that I hope, I hope, by the time we get to the fall, we will reach that critical percentage of people...". Here's what you said: I think that statement missed the truth by much more than 3%...
-
Fair point, but looking at your original question you also said Fauci claimed herd immunity by the summer. So asking me to be charitable is quite dishonest - it's not just a 3% error, you're spreading misinformation on a larger scale. And for immunity waning after 6 months, the science doesn't seem particularly sure yet. But BCG does offer quite a large amount of antigen targets compared to SARS-COV-2. Would you have chosen the N protein instead of the S protein as a vaccine target?
-
You're not aware of the flu vaccine? (about 40% effectiveness) How about the BCG vaccine? (60-80% against severe disease, but still given to babies as standard)
-
It is what it is. You didn't say "approximately" or "around", you said "97%". You also said he repeated it dozens of times - so you didn't just double down on your error, you multiplied it (at least) 12 times.
-
That's an outright lie - I watched the link and he said: "quite effective" "highly effective" "extraordinarily efficacious...94-95% for mild to moderate disease" Nowhere in the clip did he say 97%. So not dozens of clips - zero clips. The rest of the video is just various media headlines. Now I need that 2 minutes of my life back...
-
That's simply asking way, way too much of brent (0.813 x 1.22 = 0.99186)
-
So, about as often as you've been able to demonstrate heroically protecting someone gay or trans from getting beaten up?
-
I'd count those who die in wildfires, heatwaves, etc. as victims. Covid-19 is just much more immediate. And while the antivaxxers *mostly* don't affect the death rate of the vaccinated, it's much more difficult to isolate from the effects of climate change. (mostly, because they still do - by taking up precious ICU beds, breakthrough cases, etc)
-
I ignored the troll's bogus argument, I'm just here asking for a disclaimer to be attached to his posts like it was done for another poster regarding Covid-19.
-
In fact, Alberta's been suffering lately because of low oil prices. High oil prices would make the oil sands viable again. Of course, the troll is forgetting that it's Saudi Arabia who took a wrecking ball to oil prices last year targeting Russia: 2020 Russia - Saudi Arabia oil price war
-
Why would I consider a troll saying "everything is fine" as shrinking my safe space? The disclaimer should be: Warning: this poster has a history of misrepresenting articles, even if they directly contradict his point, inability to understand titles, presenting fake data as well as extremely biased sources.

When supply chain issues caused a shortage of fuel at petrol stations in the UK, there was a massive boost in enquiries about electric cars. The best-selling model in the UK as of June 2021 is the Tesla Model 3, so their lead will probably only increase...
-
Mods, can we put a disclaimer on the troll's posts?
