...and this conclusion is based on?

After you publish your scientific paper.

Although some people in Labour are now getting worried that by the time the Tories hand over power, the economy would have been trashed so much that they'll get blamed for it. Lots of FX traders predicting USD-GBP parity by November. Even with the last U-turn there's still a £42 billion gap in the budget. This will probably get worse before it gets better...

I've repeatedly stated my support for nuclear energy and nuclear research. Even Greta Thunberg has stated support for nuclear. But this is where you don't make sense. Nuclear energy is the most expensive energy per MWh in the world. When I pointed that out to another member of the right (metalslug) he started evading, then completely flipped and got angry. I'm a fan of nuclear, especially nuclear fusion. I was even considering getting involved with the ITER project in France. But looking at the physics made me realise it will NEVER be cheap. We should still spend the money, but if you're concerned about the costs then you're lying to yourself that nuclear is the answer. You're just using it to blame the left to make yourself feel better.

So, climate change being the reason for the observed phenomenon is NOT obvious, but money being motivations for those scientists IS obvious? Didn't know you were an expert in their field, why don't YOU publish a research paper showing that p > 0.05 to prove that they're just money grabbers? I won't hold my breath...
-
And here you are again implying that this is all done for money. Because no one does anything for curiosity, passion, or interest except you right?

As someone who voted for Corbyn in the leadership contest, I'm actually glad he didn't win the GE after what happened to Ukraine (I didn't vote in the GE) However, Labour and their supporters have nothing to do with Bojo getting kicked out - his own MPs did that after they got tired of him lying to them. young people actually don't use social media for politics and have fled the usual social media channels, so it's unfair to blame them. Facebook is full of older people now.

Stumpy wasn't even replying to brent "Look at me!"

Well, very real money is being lost every time, so hopefully at some point people learn something...or run out of money.

I found this on Facebook, so it seems Slim is just parroting something he's seen in the conspiracy theory circles: They're just really grasping for straws, the RCT protocol and the 3 stages of clinical trials are pretty well defined, but they go crazy about an undefined test for "transmission" that would probably be very difficult to do ethically. (like challenge trials, which used to be done for really old vaccines, are considered quite unethical now) Plus a complete lack of understanding of the basics of probability...
-
It definitely is. But it worked! Kadyrov was happy, even our very own Slim King was re-energised to "call for peace" (i.e. asking Ukraine to give up) even if all it did was kill a handful of innocent civilians, cause a power outage for a few hours, and mainly just made Ukrainians more angry. From what Slim was saying you'd have thought it had a big military impact, when the fact is it had almost no military impact at all. But it caused a lot of coverage in the mainstream media, which is strange considering how much Slim and his kind profess to hate and not believe it.

But...he hasn't revealed his "gotcha" about the COVID vaccine yet! I fell asleep waiting for that... Back to the topic, it looks like the bombardment has actually subsided a lot with only a few odd iranian drones being shot down today. As for negotiations, Ukraine has actually passed a decree ruling out negotiations with Putin: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/zelenskiy-decree-rules-out-ukraine-talks-with-putin-impossible-2022-10-04/

Finally, a prediction. Let's check back on this in 30 days. Edit: my prediction: Ukraine will take some more territory, and there will be no "bombing Ukraine back into the stone age" and Slim will say (again) that "Russia has been playing nice, from now on (again) they'll get serious (again)"
-
getting sleepy...
-
I have a feeling I'll be disappointed with this "gotcha"...
-
I haven't. Just because you don't know what probability means doesn't mean I changed its meaning.
-
I think Slim hasn't been taught the concept of probability...

What an angry word salad, with lots of false accusations... Anyway, are you aware that the Polio vaccine (the oral version) can actually CAUSE cases of polio where there were none before? But it's still been enormously successful in eradicating polio, with more than 10 billion doses administered worldwide. ...in fact, you've probably taken it.
-
Interested to hear more of your predictions about this conflict, and also check back on these in a few months. Back in February The Hundredth Monkey was saying it would be over in days. Then after that he was saying "Russia has stopped playing nice now, watch out" for the past several months.

May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years

New Zealand ski areas face possible bankruptcy after lack of snow As a keen snowboarder, this sucks. "there is no climate crisis" yeah right... -
Or maybe because I have enough money to not be concerned about it? But that might hurt your ego so I guess you chose what you said instead Wow, did you experience it?

trump and Musk. Two Nuts the Squirrels Missed for Winter
olofscience replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
With all of Musk's factories in Texas and California it's funny imagining his reaction if they end up on the other side of the border... -
You already know Slim King's answer. Just give Putin everything he wants...

False dichotomy. Do you not follow your own rules of debate?

Thing is, bridges need a lot of explosive to bring down. With Russia losing 10,000+ square miles of territory, how they will deliver those explosives to "wipe out 90%" is my question to our russian supporter. He believes in Russian military capability even more than the Russians' official state media recently, they've actually been quite downbeat and despondent after the defeats in Kharkiv and Kherson.
