  1. I already linked to your predictions. As for your sources, link away.
  2. Absolute rubbish. Although kids have died due to Russian strikes, none were today and nowhere near that number in a day. they haven't been moving forward...unless you count retreating?
  3. In brent's numeracy a few = zero links. You must have skipped more than a few classes from kindergarten. His only other ally Slim King just found out that when ice in a glass of water melts, the level doesn't change. You can't make this up...
  4. Well Putin's troll Slim King only recently found out that when ice floating on water melts, the water level doesn't change. So...keep your expectations low.
  5. Probably on purpose, look 4 posts up.
  6. Did you miss the part where I also predicted that 2022 won't be the hottest year on record?
  7. Still no link, and this is a forward-looking statement, which means the final numbers aren't out yet. And since you can't do any number crunching to save your life, you'll have to wait. AND even then, nobody even predicted 2022 to be the hottest year on record (even if it did turn out to be the hottest in the UK ever) - because of the 'double-dip' La Nina, which WAS predicted a year ago. So really, brent is making up arguments in his head that he's now claiming 'checkmate' against...
  8. You predicted Russia losing, retreating from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson? Losing thousands of square miles to Ukraine? Losing their flagship in the Black Sea? Even The Hundredth Monkey has admitted the war isn't going well for Russia...
  9. Here's a link to the discussion - as I mentioned they're not really "predictions" since they're so vague as to be completely useless. I linked to the part where Brent misunderstands what the global temperature anomaly is, even though he had been talking about it so much. He refuses to make an actual prediction and runs off only a few posts later.
  10. What are you talking about? 1) No source, the NOAA hasn't yet published 2022's total global temperature anomaly in a format you can read. 2) The UK has just recorded its WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64111625 3) Thousands of records have been shattered in a historic warm spell in Europe: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64111625 You're not playing chess brent...more like a toddler's blocks
  11. To be fair, predicting that fossil fuel use will increase isn't really a 'prediction', since none of us 'libs' are predicting otherwise...but somehow he massages his ego with that, along with some of his other 'predictions'. What he proved incapable of doing is making actual quantifiable predictions about the global temperature anomaly.
  12. I should be able to find that thread really easily. Brent's "predictions" are worded really vaguely so he has TONS of wiggle room to say he's 'right'. When I asked him to provide numbers, he evaded and evaded and finally left "to watch the football".
  13. What you're experiencing is a cognitive bias known as Rosy Retrospection. Try being a black person and being nostalgic, for example about the 1950s, or even better before the abolition of slavery.
  14. You'll have to remember, there's a crippling chip shortage that's still going on since from the pandemic. It affects not just supplies of existing products (see what happened to Dekunu) but also impacts the ability to develop new ones. I've been trying to find a Raspberry Pi for some personal projects and they're still impossible to find (and no, I will not pay scalpers) - the Raspberry Pi foundation has said that things will only improve in the second half of 2023.
  15. that's why military GPS has the ability to concentrate the signal to a smaller 'spot-beam' to make this more difficult. Then they'll have to increase the jamming power to compensate, which would then make them sitting ducks for HARMs.
  16. Well for those I'd presume they'd use the military GPS codes, which are much more jamming-resistant than the civilian bands.
  17. I think this will depend on the size of the blind spot it creates...
  18. Right, a reality check from "the midterms' red trickle was EVEN BETTER than the huge red wave I was predicting because 5D chess" person Yep, definitely grounded in reality. /s
  19. And that is the main draw of Mars, it has hydrogen in the form of water - so the water could be used for human use as well as creating rocket fuel. And water is pretty heavy. When he took over Twitter he tried to measure engineers' performance by how many lines of code they write, he even asked them for printouts or screenshots of "the most salient lines of code" they've written. This is when there are many, many engineers who are extremely productive writing few lines of code, and the very best ones even contribute negative lines of code. SpaceX and Tesla inspired many young, innovative engineers because of the clear vision the companies had, and thousands of them were worked to burnout making the companies successful, but the conditions are quite different at Twitter. Primarily the lack of a vision, or even a coherent business plan.
  20. Wrong. It was storing extra energy from the coal plant to release during peak times, to avoid overloading the coal plant, hence, it backs it up. The coal plant by itself couldn't handle the peaks until it was backed up by the grid scale battery. The battery by itself doesn't produce any energy, it's just storage.
  21. Absolute lie, you oppose anything which you think is renewable. Example: our discussion about the Tesla grid-scale battery in Australia. You were against it because you thought it was renewable, but 1) it wasn't actually renewable (it backed up a coal plant) 2) it wasn't subsidised 3) it was extremely profitable Wind and solar are extremely profitable - lowest cost according to the IEA - but you wouldn't back them because of what they are, and you have a LONG track record of lying. Edit: you're just going to say "if they were competitive, why don't they stop the subsidies then?" Forgetting that that question has been answered several times, because you're a boring troll.
  22. I tried to get him to predict the 2021 global temperature anomaly, and he had no idea what it was. Then he tried to squirm out of making an actual prediction, finally declaring he was off "to watch the football" He's never going to learn, or change. Like a...fossil. Apt, isn't it?
