  1. Dry lightning has sparked California's most destructive fires. Scientists say it could happen more often. No humans needed. But there are also a lot of humans around, so what are you proposing - ban humans from wildfire-prone areas? Or just ban humans from making mistakes? Arson has already been banned for a long time, so what's your suggestion to stop that? Genius suggestions as usual... /s Edit to add: the original NASA-funded study found that dry lightning started 30% of the fires that caused 50% of the burned area...so there goes your usual "very seldom" misinformation.
  2. That's what the ACE metric is, which you just told us to look up. But thanks for confirming my hunch.
  3. You've shown that you can't even do simple addition, or averages. I don't think you'll be able to do discrete integrals either. Call it a hunch.
  4. Brent doesn't understand what a 'probability distribution' is.
  5. Just as I predicted, you don't have any evidence do you "trust me it's staged"...right.
  6. If the trumpets want to prove the FBI staged the photo, in a court of law, they need to: Establish that the FBI had a motive for doing so Show that the FBI had means of doing so, Show irrefutable evidence that they actually DID so exclude the possibility that they did otherwise. I have the feeling that the trumpets will have about as much success with this as proving that the 2020 election was stolen.
  7. I asked a question first. Looks like you don't know what logic even is. Anyway, the FBI staging a photo? Do you have any evidence of them doing that? Of course not.
  8. Which kind of logic? Deductive or inductive logic? Remember, there has to be no gaps for it to be valid. Which probably disqualifies whatever you're thinking.
  9. His choice of username is even quite strange. Why call yourself "Slim King" when in fact he wants Trump to be King?
  10. Poor Slim King is having a meltdown...
  11. Hey, don't go ruining brent's straw men now, how else can he feel good about himself? As for masks in cars, has "forgetting" been considered at all? There have been a few times when I put on a mask to enter a crowded area, then when I get out I'm too deep in my thoughts and forget to take it off immediately. No harm done, although it probably makes "those people" feel better about themselves, right?
  12. ...and on the other side, we have the cash-strapped, plucky, oil company executives fighting against this massive conspiracy! Those greedy scientists. All they care about is money, unlike those oil company executives, who genuinely care about the truth. /s
  13. Yep, should have specified the "imaginary" part. Thanks.
  14. Looks like there's a liberal living rent-free in this one's head...
  15. Unnoticeable to you, because you don't want to notice it. But it's noticeable to many other people who depend on it. The melting glaciers will certainly be noticeable to those who rely on them for water sources - a few billion people in China and India, for example. "Mother Nature" is not a conscious being therefore ascribing intellect to it is meaningless. This whole rambling argument is just mind numbing... (and this is a person who keeps referring to rules of proper debate...)
  16. I doubt you can notice a 2 inch increase in sea levels for the past 20 years. https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/sea-level/ Plenty of strawmen too, and the usual conspiracy youtube video.
  17. Where does that "quote" come from? Definitely not from the article I linked, because it quotes the German Chancellor directly: So, stop making things up, and stop pretending that you even read the article I linked.
  18. Although we've got brent cheering how the germans have been forced to turn to coal (temporarily) due to losing the gas supply, he won't like: Solar power is booming in Germany as Russia turns down the gas
  19. This is also Germany's fault. While they were publicly claiming that they were moving to 'green' power (Brent's link, which of course he hasn't read in full), in reality majority of their shift away from coal was towards gas. Nord Stream 2 was completed just September 2021. EU classifies gas as a 'green' investment (January 2022). They also have quite a lot of gas infrastructure, a lot of heating systems run on gas networks, so switching to electricity for those isn't that simple. But they dragged their feet, and are now paying the price. Blaming wind and solar for Germany's current predicament is about as believable as the power cuts in Texas last winter being blamed on "frozen windmills".
  20. Fixed it for you. Given that until last year they were building new gas pipeline capacity from Russia it's pretty easy to call out your BS.
  21. That doesn't invalidate the point I made. Are you sure you know the rules of debate?
  22. You could also look up the meaning of "Amendment". (you might be shocked to hear, the 2nd amendment wasn't in the original Constitution! It was...an amendment.)
