The US have free election and free press (allegedly) and some poeple consider the "freely elected president" the biggest threat to peace. You should worry about China but not because comunism or 1.2 billion citizens. You should worry because after what the US has done in Irak and the precedent it has set, should the US do any attempt to preemptively "fix" the situation, China will use their nukes. I think you are right. I am going to explain my position again very clearly so not even Juansky will be able to turn around my words. There is several aspects of this issue. LEGALLY: Not much to discuss, under the law it is wrong. If you dont like the law move to north pole where you will have more freedom. MORALLY: Is it Morally right or wrong? Under what moral? Under the bible a while ago was normal to marry old guys with 13 years old girls. Islam even let you have two (as long as you treat them properly). Your values may not be the same than mine, that is why we have laws. So Morally it comes down to yourself to decide whether it is right or wrong. You still has to obey the law, though. Personally, AS I STATED BEFORE, is wrong. Even if it is only because i wouldn´t do it. You may say it is alright, and i will be happy enough as long as you obey the law. What good does it make having a written constitucion if you allow your president to pass laws like the patriot act that reduces the freedom in the rest of the constitution? Schools paid by the government where one of the characteristics is that they do not endorse to any religion. IMO they are respecting the freedom of those who wanted to go to a non religious school. This war wasn´t righteous, it is at best questionable. well over 8000 casualties on collateral damage is having VERY little regard for human life. Plust acts of theft on the population, torture, murder, etc, etc. America entered WW2 when they got hold of secret information that Hitler was plotting against the US. Not to bring the war debate again, but some people consider this war illegal, and therefore when they are commanded to go and kill innocents consider it an illegal command. Of course when they get there they find that the innocent people have guns so they are forced to kill them, hence the decision of not going to war. Let´s see. Unfortunately i firmly believe that we are highly evolved animals, at least highly evolved most of the time, if you know what i mean. I say unfortunate because very religious people have an unique way to deal with big disgraces that seem to work better than the non religious type.
