  1. I was laughing. Now I'm laughing harder. Tell us, please - what is a 45 degree climbing debt? 45 degrees of pitch? Yaw? Down angle on the bow planes of a submarine perhaps? How do you consider the economy El Jefe Clintonista inherited to be bad? A cursory examination of the DJIA or NASDAQ shows both of them on the increase when he took office. NEPA perhaps? Please by all means enlighten us to how a balanced debt equates to a surplus as well! We're anxiously awaiting that one! Negative fiscal sentiment, eh? The same kind Reagan inherited from Carter? Don't recall any gas lines in '92 - do you? Find one social program funded under Clinton that is not currently funded under GWB. Perhaps you should look at CBO and OMB data, BLS data, the DJIA, NASDAQ, and perhaps BPD data prior to attempting to speak about the economy and the U.S. national debt with someone familiar with the subject. As I have told you in other threads that Clinton and the different sessions of Congress convened under his tenure were able to achieve fiscal success in his last couple of years in office by keeping discretionary spending under control while simultaneously benefitting from high tax revenues resulting from the economic explosion fueled by the internet revolution. Economic boom=increased tax revenues. Anytime people complain about the deficit while vilifying anyone seeking eliminte gov't programs that do not work and touting increases in mandatory spending, I give them all the credibility they deserve - ZILCH! ZERO! NADA! ZEEEEEEEEROOOOOOO! Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  2. You're most welcome, but one wonders why you're thanking me. Perhaps for showing you've no credibility when it comes to discussing deficits? That's not really that hard - no thanks required, but you're welcome anyway. I'd think anyone who reads my posts as much as you do would realize I lean to the right from a fiscal perspective. Your beliefs about the views of most libertarians is a bit misguided. You'd be hard put to find any of us who agree with the entire party platform - just like most republicans and democrats with three digit IQ's. Most libertarians I'm familiar with admit they're hypocritical libertarians - like myself. With the Republicans alienating their base as of late by abandoning fiscal conservatism and the democrats simply out to lunch, perhaps the Libertarian party will be able to carve out a niche at the national level in the next few years. Lots of people for less government who realize that legalizing some - if not all - drugs would be a good thing. Regardless, when you bemoan deficits whilst decrying the elimination of programs that do not work and promoting increasing social spending, I'll always be laughing. 3. I have returned from my run-waddle and will now sip tequila. I'm feeling much better. Thanks everyone!
  4. You nailed it dude - for almost everybody I've ever evicted. These people drive nicer vehicles than I do. What happens when you default on the car-note? Mr. Repo-man comes to visit. Not paying your rent to a landlord is a WAY bigger financial burden on the landlord than it is to the bank or car company with the note on the car. I'm off to the beach for my run-waddle to cool down. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  5. It will probably not work too well for immediate gratification, but I'll end up getting the money over time as I garnish the thief's wages for what he/she owes me. Eventually, I'll get it. Perhaps it will serve as a deterrent of sorts. Who knows? Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  6. Ooooh...tequila....I think I'm going to have some after I do a run/waddle on the beach...you're a genius! Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  7. Yeah, but if I'm evicting them, the shitheads would probably bounce it. I'd probably end up adding it into what I'd already be taking their sorry ass to small claims court to snag the long and slow way via wage garnishment. Rent deposit alone has rarely been enough to cover the damages the a-holes do once they're shocked by the realization that I really am having the sheriff's office throw their thief ass out on the street for not paying their rent. I rent in decent neighborhoods too and run pretty thorough background checks. FUCK am I ticked off right now. Two units in the same month. 8. Evictions tick off the normally cheerful Vinny. What the hell is it with people who think it is ok to not pay their rent? Why do they think it's OK to steal? I've got two units now with either a bounced check or no check and I'm processing evictions and it's ticked me way the hell off. I hate ruining somebody's credit and throwing them on the street, but people who steal from me deserve it I suppose, and using my property without paying for it as agreed is stealing. Anybody have a clue as to what goes on in the mind of these thieves? I think I'm putting in a new clause in my already long lease. An eviction clause where the renter agrees to pay me $1000 for an inconvenience fee if I have to evict their sorry ass for any reason. $1000 would buy a lot of tequila. 10. I'm libertarian - don't recall us ever having control of either legislative hour or the executive branch. When you left leaning people cease bemoaning eliminating programs that have no measurable effect and stop calliing for increases in mandatory spending, perhaps we right leaning people will do something other than laugh when you speak of deficits. 12. The folks on these committees shouldn't be leaking anything to the press, as a clearance is a prerequisite to membership. Not a lot of hotheads on these committees because they need to be non-partisan as possible.
  13. Brilliant! I didn't catch that. Patron for the patrons! Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  14. Mostly, free tequila for patrons of short stature. Other than that, 1) good rapport with regular customers. They're the ones that will keep coming back and keep tipping over and over again. 2) making eye contact with customers 3) being efficient during busy times; knowing who's been waiting longest and letting the next customer know you'll be right with them 4) kindness to short people 5) not being overzealous in asking if somebody needs another drink, while making sure they're not feeling ignored as it gets close either; tough balance to strike with some people 6) knowledge of drinks. If somebody is unsure of what they want, have something up your sleeve as a suggestion. 7) Good attitude. That's all I can think of right now. I'd rate kindness to short people as the most important. 15. Only recently has this come to the forefront of political discourse in America with such intensity - demonstrations, focus by the TV commenatators, etc. Sen. Tancredo has been screaming about this for years - to his credit. Illegal immigration has been a problem for years. Did you see Reagan, Bush the Elder, or Clinton give a national address solely on the issue of immigration? Nixon? Carter? Nope. They didn't do so, because the issue has been boiling in the background while other issues far less important but with more political 'umph' took center stage - abortion and affirmative action for example, neither of which affect most people directly, though almost everyone has a fairly strong opinion on both. The issue was brought to the forefront mostly by its status & the massive # of invaders that went out to protest over the past few weeks. Bush's speech has helped keep it there and helped give it a bit of focus from the executive branch. I really can't tell you why it's taken Congress or the Executive branch of government so long to act on this issue. It should have been acted upon decades ago - just like the social security fiasco. 16. I think GWB's speech was mediocre, but a step in the right direction as well. Concur about the H-2A - expanding it would help a bit. This issue has been in the background for sometime. If nothing else, GWB's speech helped bring it even more to the forefront (not that it wasn't already). Hopefully the House/Senate will get a meaningful reform bill up for him to sign. 19. I made one jump in Palatka and am about to go for a run/waddle on the beach after I work out.
  20. Which so-called domestic spying program is disturbing you? Why anyone would be concerned about NSA obtaining phone records as reported in USA Today's article is utterly beyond me. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  21. And we're still waiting for you to show how the country has been trashed. Nice economy we've got going here, eh? By the way - you keep forgetting to add 'who pay the majority of the taxes' to 'tax cuts for the rich' when you write the phrase. Don't worry, though. We conservative leaning folks add it automatically. Nice to look at all facts to keep them in perspective, you see. If El Jefe Clintonista had succeeded in socializing medicine, the deficit of which you love to speak would be even worse than it is today. Looking forward to your reasoning as to why the country is trashed. Please address the economy in your response.
  22. Me too. I'm not apologizing and wonder why you do so. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

  24. A horse is a horse of course, of course, and no one could talk to a horse, of course, unless, of course, the horse, of course, was the famous Vinny the Anvil! Oh wait. I'm a JACKASS and not a horse. Never mind. Somehow I thought of the Mr. Ed theme when reading your post. I know not why.
