You said it dude! I've been oscillating in between CNN and FOX news a bit as of late to compare, and there really is no comparison. Fox presents facts and perspectives that do not get presented over there. I used to cede to lefties that Fox was a bit tilted towards the right, but have since revised my opinion. I now think that Fox is just news without the leftist bias, so it seems canted to the right. I don't see the analogy you're making. WRT our actions in Iraq take a look at Mona Charen's latest column at townhall.com. I have some problems with current US policy over there. The no-competition bids for some of the reconstruction efforts kind of ticked me off. The salaries of some of the Americans going over there to work are exorbitant (and come out of our pockets indirectly) - we could get the same labor done with locals, improve their quality of life, and generate some goodwill. All in all I think we're doing a good job, but certain directions anger me. I hope that if I had all of the data I'd think differently.
