  2. Michele Malkin weighs in on the worthless S.O.B. Clicky
  3. ICKY? ICKY? ICKY? Somone go to Sunshine. She has lost all control of her senses and needs some serious love, cuddling, and attention. Someone has been feeding you that Cuervo crap. Not to worry. The next time we meet I shall have some Patron or Herradura for you. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  4. That's your opinion - you're welcome to it. If you consider quoting garbage about a philosophy en masse, inferring that someone follows tha philosophy, and then writing about how via such an assumption someone's beliefs parallel communism to be brilliant, then you have a much lower standard of brilliance than I. 5. EEEEGAAAADSSS WOMAN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? What is wrong with you??????? Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  6. You have obvious delusions of grandeur. Such an inane and senseless argument as you've presented is a source of amusement. You inanely and incorrectly assert that I praise utilitarianism, condone the murder of innocents, acquiesce to your inane assertions, and claim I'm wrong in many respects. Simply hilarious. You apparently make yourself feel better by quoting some stuff about utilitarianism, making assumptions about what I think, and drawing conclusions from your own assumptions. If that makes you feel better - more power to you. That cackling you hear in the background is my laughter. I'm not impressed. Anyone accusing conservatives of being against the rights of individuals - especially as compared with the American left - is simply ignorant of the facts or lacks the courage to face them. 7. The insurgency is a terror group, though probably a non-homogenous one as you've described. Considering them terrorists marginalizes them not at all. Your point is interesting but ignores one thing: free elections are coming. The patriots of whom you speak will participate in these elections. I can't really fathom such a group being a large portion of the insurgents, but if you think they are so be it. I think the democratic process will prove an impediment to their recruiting efforts. Hard to say 'we've been taken over and have no control of our own land' when the public has just elected a government of their own. We shall see.
  8. I disagree with your hypothesis as to the primary motivation of the insurgency. I believe their primary motivation is fear of democracy taking hold. The Baathists know damned well that they won't get back into power and their still pissed off about it. That, in conjunction with the anti-American garbage broadcast on Al-Manar and radical clerics preaching their mantras of hate, are the primary things motivating the insurgents to take up arms.
  9. More than likely in a manner similar to Germany and Japan in WWII or South Korea. We're still in all three places. It's going to be at least a decade, I believe. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  10. No it would perturb the hell out of me and I resent the implication otherwise. I, however, accept the fact that perfection here is an impossibility and that for many robbing a man/woman of his/her freedom via imprisonment is a fate worse than death. 11. My my my - another nerve tweaked. FYI - I don't give a rat's ass what you think of any Constitutional issues I might bring up in the forums or elsewhere. If it troubles you in any manner, that's your problem with which to deal. I am quite conservative and with the exception of billvon, riddler, rehmwa, and kallend doubt many here could match my knowledge of mathematics - your toes & 20 argument gives me quite a chuckle. Believe that all conservatives are stupid if it makes you feel better. Laughter is good for me. Then again whenever I hear that 'neo-con' sobriquet I always chuckle, so your post just makes me feel good all around. This utilitarianism rant upon which you have embarked is simply hilarious. Think that if it makes you feel better - and please keep posting such things. Laughter is good for the soul. Pleasant dreams.
  12. THat's a long way from Jacksonville. Probably a good thing - I hear a JACKASS lives there. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

  15. Cancun is a kickass time. I prefer La Playa del Carmen, however. There is a tequila bar on the main drag in Playa that has over 100 different kinds of tequila there. They called me 'El Borracho' there. Make sure to see Chichen Itza and scuba dive a cenote if you get the chance. 19. You asked for an answer and an answer I provide - not a dodge. It is OK with me because I realize that no system of justice is perfect and there will always be a finite chance that an innocent will be convicted. Perfection is an impossibility. Weighing that against the fact that some crimes do, in my opinion, warrant death as punishment I think that chance worth taking because our justice system is extremely fair with regards to capital crimes. Perfect - no. Damned good? Absolutely. Is the death penalty used too often - probably. Should it be abolished - no. Answer asked for - answer given. 20. Deeeeee Oooohhhh Deeeeee Geeeeee Eeeeeee. You admit that you don't make the comparison for which I asked then claim you are not dodging. I think we can all consider it res ipsa loquitor that you don't like the comparison for some odd reason and therefore DODGE it. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  21. I take it you're not ready to discuss either Aquinas or Annanias & Sapphira with me yet, eh? If it's feeble, find fault with it.
  22. Deee Ohh Deee Geeee Eeee...that spells 'DODGE'. I'll happily answer whatever death penalty question you have - just provide me a link to the thread. The Great Kallend was unable to find a chink in the armor of my pro-death penalty argument from a Catholic standpoint - though he nonetheless considers part of it 'feeble' ( to Kallend) - and I seriously doubt you would be able to do so either. So nice to have Thomas Aquinas agreeing with me. Ahhh...I digress. Regarding the photos of the SEALs... You discount the fact that you don't know anything other than what's in the photos then state this Abu Ghraib incident is something you wish never happened - you and damned near every U.S. citizen as well. You then present no comparison as I asked - because you don't like what the connotations of such a comparison imply about your own position with regards to the U.S. D-O-D-G-E. Try again. 23. Another nerve tweaked. Do you actually believe that you are the only one here who speaks any Arabic or Farsi, has read the Koran, has travelled to the Middle East, interacts with Arabs & Persians, knows Arabs & Persians, or reads about the area and its internal politics? If that's your belief, I suggest you revise it. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
  24. My my my. What an interesting set of responses my posting of this article has generated. It seems to have tweaked a nerve with some folks. T'would seem a testament to the weakness of one's own position on an issue should mere prose such as this elicit such a response. But that's just my own personal opinion. Did you read the article in its entirety Bill or become so perturbed that you didn't finish it? It was quite lengthy, I'll admit. The last paragraph... "It would be dangerous and very unwise to ignore or downplay all the bad things happening in Iraq right now; but it would be equally dangerous if without hearing other voices and other stories from inside the country we were to give up and walk away, leaving Iraqis alone to try to secure their future. The bombs are deadly, but the perception that in Iraq today there is nothing else but the bombs could prove even deadlier in the long run--for the Iraqis, the Middle East, and the West. " The opening paragraph quoting the 'religious extremeist' - are all men of the cloth religious extremists? - acknowledges the violence and terror occurring almost daily over there, as does the closing paragraph. The point of this Aussie's blog was to illustrate that not all things happening in Iraq are bad. This apparently aggravates some people so much that they concoct comparisons of computer donations to deaths of Iraqi's - such as you have done - and created another thread in response to my own detailing purported US atrocities. The blogger - and I - acknowledge that horrid things are happening in Iraq every day. Is it really too much to ask that anti-war folks admit that good things happen there on a daily basis as well? The answer to that question is obviously 'yes' - and I consider that answer a testament to the hollowness of certain portions of their arguments when they bash the Bush administration's foreign policy.
