    Did some searches, but it seems most models are dis-continued. Has anyone bought a new DVD hard drive recorder lately? What would you recommend? I am currently using a Panasonic without a hard drive and it makes it difficult when making multiple copies. Any help would be great.

    I'll be there Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Heat would scare me if I weren't getting a packer. I'm looking to do some bigger formation skydives and canopy flocking if there are people interested.

    That's not the same video I saw of him doing the stunt. The one I saw was on MTV and was a Jackass special remembering Evil Knievel. He does have a harness under his shorts and takes about 5-10 seconds to hook it up to the guy from what I remember. Pretty cool stunt.

    Nina My Favorite Manifest Chick, After you get it setup, maybe you could sew a rip in my slider. The hole where the cord that collapses the slider is ripping and the tab on the cord gets stuck in the slider because of it. Kind of a pain in the ass. Anyway, I figure I have a better chance of you doing it once you get set up than I do asking Chris. Take it easy. Clint

    I suppose I am. When I called them to say my internet was down, they asked if I had any copyrighted material on my computer. They said if I did and did not get it off right away, they would not turn my internet back on. They also told me that the security department would be connecting to my computer later on to see if I had deleted whatever it was. Bullshit, huh?

    In the past I have used a website to download some movies that are still in theatre. Since Cox switched to Suddenlink I have only tried it once and as a result, my internet was shut off. It took several phone calls to Suddenlink to get it back on. I don't think I will be doing that again.

    I think my dad was on that load, I need to call him and see how it was. I probably won't get a hold of him because I heard he is on his way to jump the glider and in the morning he is doing the 30,000 ft jump. I am pretty jealous right now because I only got to film two tandems today. Clint D-24352

    The way I do it (using linear editing) is I first play the tandem video in slow motion. When they deploy and I go on my back to film their opening, I insert a still pic and rewind to the exit. Then I play the video in full speed and keep it rolling until I land. If the spot is long, I stop recording until I am able to spiral around. I do this so the tandem person can show their friends kind of what it's like under canopy. If there are some canopies in the area, I will get behind them and film them. This weekend I was flying behind a bird and it looks pretty cool on video. After landing I stop recording before my canopy hits the ground and I start again when the tandem is in the pattern to land. My videos usually average around 8 minutes. I really don't care about saving tape. Clint D-24352

    Hey, I like how your still is in front. I was thinking of whether it would be possible to do that same thing on an Optik. Is that a custom made bracket for the still cam? Has anyone seen an Optik like that? Thanks for the info. Clint D-24352
