  1. My log book said jump # 66, Spring Creek, Cypress TX, Oct 1978. 8500 feet, C-182, sig line is C-10515 and SCR 8258. I have no idea who these folks are, I was very young and drunk at the time Arvel BSBD...........Its all about Respect, USPA#-7062, FB-2197, Outlaw 499
  2. I hear you John, I have an "A" only because I HAD to have a license to jump at some little DZ in TX, they gave me the SIM of the day, told me to study it, in 10 min. I was so bored I took the test, the guy who graded it said "well.........you can't miss any more" and then quit grading it and told me my "A" was pending and to have fun
  3. You have to look at the volume of jumps at the location you plan on going to. How much do you need $$$ to live there, how many pack jobs does that mean I need to make a day, week, month, to be able to live on beer, bread, and jumps. We used to call this EFS, the 3 things in life required to exist (Eat, Fuck, Skydive) everything else is an EXPENSE!!!! Do the math, it is NOT a pretty picture Best of luck (I do not use packers) Arvel BSBD...........Its all about Respect, USPA#-7062, FB-2197, Outlaw 499
  4. Here at Raeford it is first come first served, or hay, you want to do this jump?!?!?! We are all mostly weekenders, military, and just part-timers. It will go from feast to famine!!! However; when I was full-time in Hawaii (6 days on, one day off) the full-time guys would be priority and the weekend workers would fill in. Then every now and then we would have the "Main-land" folks rotate in and sometimes it became a challenge!!! There will always be the DZ0 favorite, and the folks that just have to have it their way (Jump-Queens). If skydiving is you sole source income, you know the risks, you know the beezzzz-waxxxx, and life goes on!!!! Just smile
  5. Dude, these are great!!!! I will post shots of the PC and container I jumped in Oct soon, but here are shots of my "first" rig, I am not even shure of the container type, however; the reserve was a 24 foot flat and the main was a Sierra. 10. I am new to the 10-22, but as stated, it gives you more options on one lens. Nice tight shots for FF and some room for comfort with the TM shots. My 2 cents If I was you............I would buy them all Stay Safe, Arvel BSBD...........Its all about Respect, USPA#-7062, FB-2197, Outlaw 499
  11. Yep.........getting an old body but staying young in the sky
  12. Fast, the 10-22 is indeed heavyer than the kit lens (18-55), but now that I have the CF2 99, the openings are SO GOOD

About a month later someone brought it back to the DZ, it was beat up, missing the Dytter, and had lots of sand in it, but it came back Have faith!!! 22. Well........I recall my first night jump, I asked some of my friends if we were going to get lit?!?!?! They said "well yea, a couple of beers and a toke or 20" and of course I said "NO, are we going to wear LIGHTS??" They had to wake me 3 times on the way to altitude, it was my first 5 way from a C-182!!! Thank God I lived through those days!!! I also used to measure distance from home to the DZ in beer, I have never lived more than a six pack from a DZ!!!! Arvel BSBD...........Its all about Respect, USPA#-7062, FB-2197, Outlaw 499
