Chad McCalop was arrested over the weekend. He punished his oldest son by forcing the boy to exercise for hours, rammed a sock into his mouth and forced the boy to drink his own vomit, police said. McCalop was charged with third-degree assault and four counts of risking injury to a minor. The boy told police he'd been made to do push-ups, squats and sit-ups for several hours. When he cried, he said his father put a sock in his mouth. The sock eventually made him choke. When the boy threw up, his father made him drink the vomit, police said. The state Department of Children and Families removed the boy and the man's three other children from the home.

    I'm sorry I didn't see the video of his jump, could you point me to that? If you're talking about the newscast it shows him hanging from a antenna wire which says nothing about the risk involved with the jump he made.. guess the people who die base jumping were all dumbasses too. i'm done with this crap.. later. *** Why do you get so bent you seem to know it all. It just frost my ass, i made a comment that the guy was a dumb ass and mr know it all starts to spout off. Now how many base jumps do you have?

    Am I missing something here?? You're the second person to make a comment like this -- keep in mind there were 3 jumpers, the other 2 made it down just fine so what does "caseing" it out have to do with anything in this scenerio? You can case everything out you want to - it could be a 1000 foot tower and you could still have issues. Maybe i'm missing something *** Might i ask how many base jumps you have? you seem to know so much about it.

    i think you're talking out of your ass here, were you there? Do you know what happened? My guess is no, off heading openings happen - just like line twists happen on a normal skydive, you do things to prevent them but even if you do everything right something can go wrong. I'm glad no one got hurt, but calling him a dumbass without knowing anything really makes yourself look like a dumbass. *** Watch the video he was a dumbass. There are a lot of great towers to jump from in this great country of ours. He should of stayed home and worked on his lame ass personal web page i guess.

    I ride daily, and encounter a soccer mom, cell-phone distractee, angry tough guy showoff, and/or asian-don't-make-eye-contact types almost every time. We control who is in freefall with us or near us (although we should probably invoke that control more often). We have no control over who is on the road around us. I suspect the bike is more dangerous. *** I will make an assumption, but how did you get your name? riding a bike or skydiving? there are many ways to get hurt skydiving, not just in free fall. bad landing, canopy collision, etc. Both are dangerous and fun that is why I enjoy both sports. If I went my life wondering what might happen to me caused by other people life would suck.
