    I can understand the above scenarios, but what about in my example, where it's husband and wife, or boyfriend and girlfriend? Girl: 'Pleeeaaase, will you put up my ceiling fan for me?' Guy: 'I'll do it if you give me some'. Is that prostitution? What if they're married or in a committed relationship? Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

    Hmmm. 'consideration' seems to be an extremely vague term. Following the letter of the law, there are alot of seemingly harmless situations where a cohabitating couple would actually be engaging in prostitution, and/or soliciting prostitution. Interesting...     I wouldn't see it as debt, it would be a 'pay as you go' deal. I'd know that any time I wanted to stop having sex, and start paying $1000/mo, the option is there. If I could just hook up with someone at my bank, and have my mortgage paid for each month, I think I'd be all over that! Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

    Just out of curiosity, is this considered prostitution? If not: I have two spare bedrooms (furnished) for rent in the North Florida area - 10 minutes from the beach. Ammenities include waterfront property, use of waverunner, hot tub, stocked bar, and wireless internet access. 20 minutes from local Cessna DZ, 60 minutes from Caravan DZ. Applicants must be female, attractive, in shape, and willing to put out. 'Rent' is due daily. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

    Yeah, you're right. I'm just thinking back to how I got drawn into the linux/unix stuff - same reasons as him. Heard alot about RedHat, so I installed it. Years later, curiosity still has me poking around, trying to make things work. I started trying to learn the stuff so I could just be more knowledgable in front of customers.     'light' window managers are also light on support and documentation. Yup, and he'll be getting exactly that... a 130MB operating system... If he's looking for something just to play with, those are fine solutions. If he's looking for something he can talk about in a job interview, I think the major OS's would yield more valuable experience. Agreed. They're all easy to install. Now recompile the Kernel, install Apache with PHP and MySQL support. Oh yeah, lock it down while you're at it. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

    I'm a perfect example of a 'sensitive male'. I'm caring, compassionate, and sympathetic to the feelings of others. I have thin skin, so it's in my nature to be kind, and love everyone. I don't understand why people are so cruel sometimes. If we could all just learn to get along and love one another, nobody would need to have thick skin. Smile! Be Happy!

    I know you served, we had this discussion about 6 months ago. I was referring to the vast majority of of people that hold your same views - such as the authors of the websites you repeatedly reference. I put the word 'typically' in there just to cover myself against your response. I believe you mentioned the same website then as well. It's a very 'fair and balanced' website. Right up there with http://www.smirkingchimp.com/ Uh, yeah... ok... you've got me convinced, only Democrats have a sparkling military career, even Bill Clinton is listed on there as honorably volunteering to sign up for the draft lottory. Stop and smell the crap you're shovelling.... sheesh, anybody with an ounce of common sense can see the bias on that page.
