Forget retail price. Nobody pays it. That canopy should have cost you no more then 1560.00 USD. So for someone to offer you 1200.00 to 1400.00 is not unreasonable. Considering it is used. Maybe only 30 jumps on it, but bottom line is that it is used. Dom

This is what people are taught in Static line. Not to "TWIST" per say, but to Arch, look, reach, pull and clear burble. The last part is what he is refering to. Looking at the d-bag come off your back. The logic is that by looking at the bag you will dip a shoulder and let air flow cleanly over your back, helping the Spring loaded PC get clean air and come off your back faster. I still do that to this day. I keep my body nice and straight but look real hard over my right shoulder. I can usually see everything up until it reaches line stretch. In my mind at least, it allows me to be a bit ahead of the game so to speak. If I let go my PC and don't see the bag coming off my back real quick like I know I have a problem. Dom

I love mine! Great canopy. They have done a line mod to it that has really enhanced the flair on it. It is in the class of the Stiletto now. Dom

We used to call it "Tracking the Cat" Lot's of fun. I hope you guys can hold it longer then we did. Also good idea to were full face helmets on a jump like that. Bodies tend to tumble and people tend to get kicked or at leaset to have someone fall on them. Dom

I agree. I used to like to put my hand on IC as I went over. Then I started to notice that I was feeling like I had to touch him. That lead to other problems such as pushing the IC down farther then need be and it made it much harder to close the block. Now I fight the urge to touch him unless I need to (not high enough). they seem to close better (at least for us) when we do it without contact. It allows the IC to be able to get big and get back up a bit quicker and make his catch. Dom

All I know is the more you load the canopy the easier it is to pull on the risers. I was always told it is because the suspended weight makes a difference. Also the trim may have something to do with it. Are you assuming that the load on all four risers is the same? I don't think that is the case with most canopies. They all have different trim to them. Example. I jumped a Tandem rig once solo. It was hard as hell to pull even the toggles down ( I was worked by the time I got to the ground). I jumped as a passenger on that same rig and it was much easier to pull the toggles with all the extra weight. Dom

What may be the "perfect" setting for one peron may not be so "perfect" for the next guy. Your srms may be longer or shorter or you may have really short risers. Have your rigger shorten them a bit. Just make sure that when you pull the fronts down the canopy doesnt' start to buckle, that means you have them to short. Dom

At a 1.1 wingloading it will take a bit more force to pull down the risers then at a higer wingloading. Less mass under the canopy makes it harder to pull the risers down. It doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong. Just gonna be more pressure on any canopy to pull on the risers. FOr those that hate the term....sorry. Dom

Forget everything else and find three friends! Then build a team with those friends. Make sure you guys all want the same thing out of your experience. Make sure you can get along well away from jumping. It is more important to have 4 people that can get along and understand each other. Do you want to learn? Do you want to win? DO you want to have a good time? Finding 4 people that want the same thing and can stick to the program is harder then it seems. Have fun while you do it. BTW get some asprin, lot's of asprin! Dom

Big difference between the Pilot and the Vision. THe vision is a good canopy as well, but if you are looking for something fairly docile and reliable get the Pilot. You can fly it like a bat out of hell or come in nice and straight. I disagree about the riser pressure on the risers. I think it is very light and had no problem pulling them down. If you are underloading it you may be having a hard time pulling them down, but 90% off the people I have talked to and sold them to have commentited that they are really light on the risers and toggles.
