Having started jumping up in Wa. I know where most of the people up there get there gear info from. I can't believe people up thier are still listening to this certain person. I won't name him, but the guy is full o shit and will lie to his own mother to sell her what he has in stock. I bet you asked him about he Pilot and he wanted you to buy a Hornet and told you that story to sell what he had around. I may be wrong about that , but I have a real good feeling about who it is. Funny but not true either. The hornet was made by PISA, they don't exist anymore. Aerodyne had there own designers and is a different company. DOn't believe the hype. Sounds like you brake lines are to short on your Hornet. Dom

Bill and I differ on this point. I think the pilot and the Vision do very well with fronts. I use mine allthetime on my Vision and wehn I jumped the pilot and never had a problem unless it was a mistake that I made. I think BIll dosent like the fact that it plans out so fast. He feel you have to start your turns lower. I thinkit is all about the technique that you use. Dom

Aerodyne has hit a home run with the Pilot canopy and the Smart reserve. I have seen only one person that didn't like their Pilot, and they wanted to go to an eliptical anyways. IMHO the Pilot is the best 9 cell intermediate canopy out right now. Nice openings, great flight characteristics and packs up real nice as well. I have watched die-hard PD pilots put one jump on a Pilot and go by one immediately. I put over 150 jumps on a 150 and had no complaints at all. I have seen people that couldn't stand up a landing to save ever, that jumped the pilot and are standing them up all the time now. It is forgiving and flies well in slow flight as well as working it out and coming in really fast. Dom

First make sure you are getting presented well on exit. Get your belly in the wind! Second Identify the base. Third intercept the base. A big mistake people make is trying to go to the base. What, you say? I have to go to the base. You should go where the base is goin to be. That may be why you where all over the sky. You may have been aiming for the base and it may have been moving still. A lot of people have trouble diving at first. It isn't a track and it isn't head down. It is in between. What helps me is to get in a good Delta poistion and aim with my head. If it is a short dive. Then your friends method may be ok. It all depends on where you are in the lineup. Some people don't have to dive at all and some dive for days. Putting your feet on your butt and putting your hands behind your back along with arching real hard will get you down faster but you can't really adjust your filte path real well and you may just be sliding around because of that. I would need to see video and see what you are or are not doing. You should come to one of the PPP Big Way camps at Perris somtime. You will have some of the best big way people in the world coaching it. Good video to debrief. You can tell them in the sign up sheet what you want to work on and they will fo their best to get you up to speed. diving takes practice and to be real good at it you need to be current at it like anything else in skydiving. Post some new pics, guys let's get the ball rolling. A friend of mine ordered an Infinity a little while back and got a call the other day form the boys at VSE. Seems his rig is gonna be late! The reason? Kelly didn't like the way his Tie-Dye came out. So he is redoing the whole thing! I think that is great. A lot of companies would just see it and go, well that is what he ordered and that is that. VSE is eating the cost of the Tie-Dye and material to make sure it looks just right![:-)] Wonder when the last time the owner of a rig manufacture did that. Kelly you rock! That is strange. I think it may have more to do with your body position changing in some way then the addition of booties. Either that or the dives you got on where just falling slower then you are used to. Dom

That's right. Pack one weekend save the money and jump the next. I make shit money and mange to jump all the time. Just gotta figure out your priorites. I used to make 6 figures and never had time to jump. The less money I make the more I seem to be able to jump! Crazy! Dom

Lindsey, I think I know you well enough know to know that you didn't desreve somebody sayingthings like that to you. Make sure you express to his boss that basically he said he wants you to die. That is not cool for anyone to say to another, especially when coming from a superior at work. Also the threat he made to blind side you is a serious thing in my opinion.
