  1. About the only thing the Hornet and the Pilot have in common are the colored line attachment points. Common thing I hear a lot, but not true. The Pilots is a much better canopy then the Hornet. All the way from the openings to landing. Dom
  2. That's the key Chester. He is right. You are the type ofguy that says he wants to do something and then does it. Keep up the good additude that you have and you will go far. Dom
  3. Aern't you supposed to be on a plane or something? Dom
  4. Not sure. TO be honest though, after the rain we just had and the way they slap things like that together out there at the DZ, I am surpirsed tht the manifest cam is still up and running. I do miss the landing cam. It is a good source of entertainment when it works. In fact all of those cameras have gotten people in trouble. Including theone night recently when girls were dancing on the bar and Ben and Diana saw it from home and busted the bar staff for letting it happen. Dom
  5. You have to make sure it isn't still on and set for Perris when you get over to Elsinore. Turn them off and back on before you jump there. SOunds like that is the problem especially if both your Neptune and Protrack are doing the same thing. You have to make sure it is set to the ground level of wear you are jumping. Dom
  6. Shit was that an eclipse? I thought I was having a bad reaction to something I smoked........er, I mean ate...... er, nevermind Dom
  7. They are great aren't they? Looks like they are getting in the air. I see canopies getting packed and people gearing up. Doesn't look like the camp though. I saw our resident Italian Playboy Bunny(Roberta) putting on her gear, so at least fun jumpers are going up. Dom
  8. There it is. Especially the floaty part. Dom
  9. I saw that conversation as well. They will be jumping during the team buliding weekend Dan has set up as well. At least that was the plan a few weeks ago. I agree with you about women in this sport Paul. It is good to see Nina and lasies like that stepping up and making women more visable, but at the same time. This sport is equal for men and women. It's additude that makes the difference. If ladies act like they are different then they will be. I hate to hear women sydivers say things like "Hey we are good for a bunch of chicks." That is B.S. be a good skydiver. A lot of women hold themselves down in this sport by not having the right additude. Flame away if anyone wants to. The only thing holding women back in this sport is themselves at this point. Shit bio-mechanics are on most womens side anyway. Women tend to be more limber and can acheive a better body position then most men. They also listen better then men and this helps them to learn faster. Dom
  10. Kate talked about trying to get them to let people land on the runway. I would do it, but I have seen to many people in this camp that woud be walking away with road rash on there butts. People can land in North field. It's usually not as bad there. The grass is not to bad as long as you land in the middle of it and stay off the sides. The problem is getting from the grass to the packing area. Lot's of water and mudd bewtween the grass and the runway. Dom
  11. I hope they didn't call it for the day. It cleared about an hour or two ago. I looked at the Manifest cam and didn't see to much activity though. It is beautiful right now. Dom
  12. Great job Lew. Nice picture. Looks better then the cover picture. The only picture in there better is the centerfold! Only cause I am in there somewhere Next time maybe we can get those pics we talked about this weekend done and get those in there! We are gonna try and do some more of those jumps this weekend. I'll let ya know. Dom
  13. You won't go go wrong with the Infinity. Great rig and great people make it. Not to worry about the tuck flap. It just doesnt' come open. People always comment on how tight it is. I have only had mine come open once, and that was doing 10 way and I got smashed against the door VERY VERY hard. Caught the bruises to show for it. 4 weeks or so on an Inifinity is almost to good to pass up! Save the 500.00 and go jump more! IMHO you can't beat Velocity Sports for their overall care and customer service. The rig is second to none! Dom
  14. At least inmy mind, whenb in a plane like a 182 you should always make sure to get a gear check. Chances are if you are on a 182 with someone. You are jumping with them. YOu better trust them or you shouldn't jump with them. Those planes can cause all kinds of havok on your gear. Such a small tiny space. The chances of getting something pulled on accident is way higher then say an Otter. Just because of the lack of space. Dom
  15. I have 4 tats but have never wanted one on the ankle. I saw my friend get on e down there once and it didn't look to comfortable at all. HE said his eyes kept vibrating. Although the one on my back hurt like a mother on the spine and shoulder blades! Dom
  16. Awe Lisa! You made me all sappy this morning! Thanks for being you. I know we have had our differences as well, but we have remained friends and that is the cool part. Not to many people in this world can piss each other off and get over it, then come through when you need them. You are one of those people. Come watch me play in the tunnel today 3:00. Dom
  17. I like the closing pin you put in it. Did you feel your bones vibrate? Dom
  18. BAWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! THat is funny. THanks for the visual! I guess I should say good luck as well! Dom

    Shhhhhh....

Evelyn my dear. Me thinks the game is up. I hope for your sake he doesn't here some newbie talk about how much this is costing them to get involved or something like that. Good luck! Dom
  20. There wasn't much that people could complain about this year. Look at the Rebels Dave. Nina is a player coach for sure. THey where a quest team becasue of her so it wasn't an issue for most people, but I did here a few complaining about them. The only reason that I didn't make a fuss about them being in Intermediate is because of Steve. He had less them 300 jumps and did VERY VERY well for them, but if Willy had been around and they used Nina and won. Even as a guest team. That in my mind would have been wrong. I know that they would have to. With Willy on the team they would have had over 2000 jumps a piece and been a team for at least two seasons. Then they hire a jumper like Nina (who I love by the way) and go beat up on true Intermediate teams. Same thing for advanced. People are worried that all there work during the season will be for nothing if a team goes and hires a big gun or two to come whoop on people. I know (as do you) a lot of the big guns and most of them aren't going to do something that will get them laughed at by the rest of the big guns. AS for you not making any money from Jamba and Tunnelvision. Good on ya! Jumping with friends is better then making money right? WE both may have to think about that one. It is just disheartening to see world class jumpers jumping in lower divisons. Makes the weekend jumper think they won't ever win. May even keep people from competing. Just my .02 Dom
  21. That was me. My mother for years would have to take at least three of every picture. The first one I would make a face, the second one I would give rabbit ears. The last one.....well I was hardly ever smiling in the third picture. To busy holding my ass fromt he smak she had just given me across my ass. Sorry Mom, I thought it was funny. Dom
