  1. Go here Then look at Rd 4 on Jun 25th The dive is 8 5 K . 5 is a double slot switcher. The k looks the same each time but every other one I am on tail and OC is point. If we were to mirror it we could have bulit the K the other way every other time. As i as typing this i just got a call from Kurt Issenberger, former GK, World Champion in 4 and 8 way. He said they only used swithchers as welll. http://www.skyleague.com/pages/teams/showTeam.php?team=528 Dom
  2. it usually works out better that way. The only blocks we really switched the back piece in where 5's and 17's Dom
  3. Bill, i know you like the way B.C. does things and he recommends one or the other. Better for continuity. Slots or mirrors but not both. Again I have seen very good teams do both, but most pick one or the other and stick to it all year. Still looking for video Dom
  4. A double slot switcher is just that. Where the front back peice are switched at the same time. Example. You just completed block 3 (OC now becomes point) and the next block that somes up is block let's say 17 (now IC is tail). Now every one is in there b slot until the next 3. Mirrors are just that as well. Right becomes left and left becomes right. Example you do a 17 and the next point is a meeker. Well point and tail are caing the other way and Oc andIc are taking trip in the center with ther right hands instead of left hands. Looking for video right now. Dom

Did i read that right?!?!?!?!?! Wow I had no idea someone was brave enough to walk down the aisle with Shannon!!! Congratulations. Now there is one less ass in the world for me to grab. Take care of Queenie Bling Bling!!! We need to come up with a list of asses that may not be safe for me to grab! Dom
  7. It's about being patient. When facing out you have to know where to put it on em. For example. When building a cat. Whoever is on the head of the cat, can't just turn out right away. They need to see where the center two are setting up and then once they are set then turn out. As the team gets used to each other and can read the next move it gets easier to do it and faster. Last year (2004) nationals. We did train as much. I was flying OC. I would let IC and Point build the center and once point was looking for grips i then turned out. It is slower to do it that way, but much faster then me turning out real quick and missing, then having to make a second try at it. This year we trained much harder and we could read where things were going to be and it helped OC to really only worry about where I was set up at and use me as his set up instead of waitning for Point to be looking for grips. 8. We went with switchers this year as it just made more sense to us. You get used to seeing things a certain way. Then to go and mirror it just got confusing at times. I think it is a decision to make as a team and every team is different, but to us it a choice made on how comfortable we felt with one as opposed to the other. Swithers made more sense to us and our little brains. There were a few times when we went with the mirrors and it showed in the lower scores we had. You may have just opend a can of worms. Dom

It was fun to meet more of you. Got to grab a few asses. Only got to make 2 jumps but handed out a lot of demos. Hope you folks liked them. Great party on Satruday night and the videos that night where pretty good as well. I have been to many DZ's and i have to say that Byron wins any awards they may have for drinking the most booze in a night. Wheel of Carnage and the Ice Luge where a bit hit. Both looked fun, glad I don't drink anymore! I would have been down for the count. You could tell by the number of people that where missing Sunday morning that the Wheel kicked a lot of peoples asses. I especially enjoyed meeting Sebazz. Got to jump with him on Saturday. He is just getting into RW and is going to be great at it. Nice jump Seb! NWflyer's 200th was fun as well. Gotta remeber to not wear my full face when giving a kiss pass though. Dom
  17. YEs lets get serious. It is never a race. Fly together as a team. Turn stop and grip toegheter. When flying blocks learn to fly with you peice partner. DOnt't try and overpower them (lesson i learned this year) Help them when you can, just don't try to fly them around. Learn to read them, what they are thinking. See ther mistakes adn try tohelp make up for them. As they should be doing the same for you. Blocks only work well when you fly as a team and a team with in a team. Dom
  18. Are you kidding me. My last OC kicked our tail flier every chance he got. So anytime I flew point with him in the tunnel i would smack him pretty good upside the head to get him back for her. Dom
  19. Had a friend once that had his entire canopy blowup on jump number 1. I mean shreds of it were falling all over the place. It happens from time to time. Dom
  20. Nice one!!!!! Just like we used to do to Seagulls back in High School. Thoe fuckers will land on the table and steal your french bread pizza right off your plate if you turn your head long enough Dom
  21. CAn't you call animal control? Or just go buy a deep freeze and get good at BBQ'ing them. Dom
  22. Hello Niklas. I was just posting about you and Chris. Didn't notice you had answered already. How much weight did you guys have the time i saw you and chris fly with rucks? Dom
  23. They do it in the Perris tunnel. No snow shoes yet or weapons. But hte ruck and a bunch of weight in it. When they were testing the eqipment one of the Tunnel instructors was even sit flying with the stuff on. Dom
  24. IMHO the only ones that don't like the tunnel are some of the old timers and people that haven't done it much. The old timers don't want to look bad, which a lot of the do for the first few sessions. I can understand that. Although I really admire the old dogs that are willing to learn new tricks!!!!!!!!! At Perris we have a few free fliers that refuse to get in the tunnel. I think it is because they don't have much money to do it. Because those same ones will take you up on an offer to fly if they don't have to pay for it. In truth the ones that i have heard complain about it are ones that don't fly well in the air to begin with, and they also don't want to look bad. Funny how the biggest critic of it out here (no names) will only do 2 way with people worse then him or solo wing suit jumps. Dom
  25. I know plenty of people with small kids that jump. You just need to work out a rotation. One weekend you have the kid and no jumping the next he has the kid and no jumping. Or we had one couple that brought there little daughter out and switched ever jump. Where there is a will there is a way. Oh yeah... make sure to explain death to them early. If they grow up on a DZ they will see it eventually. I haven't been to many DZ's that didn't like kid. I think that may be becasue we all have really never grown up. Perris always has a few rug rats running around. Even have a swing set for them to play on. Dom
