True! Another reason that proper eye contact is so important. My best flying on the hill is always when I see nothing but my partners eyes. If you focus on the horizon and think about trying to fly on the angle of the hill it is almost impossible. Your mind says "Hey this isn't right, you should be at this angle.", and that is the way you fly. By keeping eyes locked with your partner and being real aggresive with the moves it helps to keep you all on the same plain and moving to the center and keeps you from looking at the horizon. Dom

Not good enough! I am sending her. Unless I get pictures of their pasty hands in white gloves! Dom

Why won't they change to white gloves? That is strange to me. GLoves are gloves, but points are points. Get as many as you can, change the damn gloves. Tell them if they don't I will send Celeste back to explain to them in detail why they shoud switch! I didn't mean using it for every dive, but I guess if your guys are not ready for anything other then one slot for every formation, then stick with your plan. I agree that you have the bigger moves on your ADDER. Still think it will work better for ya when going to Cranks, Yaun and Photons. Point is already in place, just makes a small turn for the Yuan or Adder, for the crank he really dowsn't have to move. I guess I am a bit lucky in that our sub 200 jump wonder on point can turn fast and on a dime (I love to be jealous of this kid). Justin if you are reading this, go get a needle and pop your head. Or I will have to pop it for you in the tunnel on Saturday morning. Dom

Dude I just talked to KElly for ya your rig now has a serial number it is #7073. I don't know how told you it would be 9 weeks but they are on crack! Your rig is having the binding tape put on it as we speak. It should be ready in about 2 weeks. From the day your order was placed the 26th of May, that would make it about 6 weeks or so. Kelly did have to move, but it didn't slow things down that much. Dom

We have been building our adders different every time so far. There are so many ways to build one. The one that has worked for us the best so far has me (outside) cat-ing tail and point facing out (way cheated). We try to see donut pictures with our partners. It makes for easy transitions to Yuan's and Photons, Cranks and others. BTW the correct Adder pic you posted looks really nice (good angles). For our version just put your self where the tail is, move the tail up to where IC is and move IC to where the point is and point takes your slot. Dom

If they ever post video from the last SSl meet. Take a look at our dives. I think your guys are in teh same spot mine where in a bit ago. I have never talked to them about getting faster. Just about stopping and taking grips. Maybe a bunch of stop drill dives will help. Let them move as fast as they want to the next point but nobady takes grips until the center takes grips. Works best with in facing moves obviously. Spend time working on getting on and off together. Not going fast. If you guys can get on and off at the same time it will pick up your speed a bit. The idea is that it builds cohesion (sp) to the team. It gets everyone on the same page and that ='s more points. We actually haven't tired to go fast yet. We do everything as a stop drill. Nobody takes grips until the center builds. On some out facing moves it is harder to stay off the grips (crank, unipod) for us. but it still helps build a rythm that really translates into speed. This should be done in the dirt dive as well. We always move (fast), stop, and I will say "grips" , then everyone gets on together. Also makes dirtdiving fun, I will wait 2 or 3 seconds sometimes before saying "grips", or say it real fast the next time. It gets everyone thinking and moving together. GET ON GET OFF........ TOGETHER! Dom

Come on guys. I have relly tried to keep this thread on track and it has been running for a while now. Let's not turn this into a something that gets locked. I am guilty as well. So let's stop now before one of the Greenies shuts this down. This is not as an anti anything thread. It is for people that have or want to learn more about the Infinity. If you don't like it or love another brand then go start your own thread and talk about it there. Dom

The "maybe you should try bowling" talk....

I agree with this. . This worries me Sunny! 800 + jumps and still fear over standing up? A course will help you to understand how to stand up onyour feet, but the word FEAR makes me think that you may make a mistkae because your afraid. Be careful Sunny. Take the course as soon as you can (LIKE NOW!). I don't want to read that you broke something on landing because you didn't want to try and stand it up. What canopy are you on and at what wingloading? Dom -
10 or 15 minutes is more then enough for your first session. Be ready you willbe very tired unless you are in really good shape. I disagree that you need 20 minutes out of an hour for your first session. That is to much for most people and in the end if you are real tired it will be wasting money. Most people that do 10 minutes their 1st time are surpsired at how tired they get. It doens't matter to the coaches if you buy 10 or 60 minutes out of an hour. They get paid the same for either. The PPP coaches are some of the best in the world at what they do. Don't distrust them. They are not money hungry fools. In fact most of them give up all kinds of free coahing all the time. Dan B.C. will not let them screw people over (they wouldn't anyway). Beleive it or not they actually just want to see people get better and see our sport progress. Of course they need to feed the family and what not, but none of them are the type to lie to ya just to make more money, Dom

Evelyn, next time you are out and want to work on it. See if I am available. I will take ya in the tunnel and we will lay on the net for a while and get it worked out. It has helped me. Sounds like you may just be a bit on overload. Learning so mnay new things and from time to time it will catch up to ya. Remember we all have levels where we just kind of stall out for a bit. Then all of a sudden the learning curve starts to pick backup. Keep the faith! I see you out there all the time jumping with MJ. I know you want to get good. Keep at it! You don't suck! You maynot be as good as you want to be yet, but you don't suck!

So...what if you are getting a 'bad feeling' about your next jump?
dgskydive replied to Blindpost's topic in The Bonfire
Shit i just sat my hapy ass down a few noths ago off of 32 ways, becuase I had a bad feeling. One jumper killed himslef under canopy, the very next jump after they took him off, one of the people on our 32 smacked her ass real hard on the ground (she was fine). I just started thinking to myself, "Hey, bad things happen in 3's". SO I set down. Number 3 happend about an hour later. NOthing real bad but blood was invloved and I was happy I listened to my fellings. Dom
