  1. GET IT! If I had the cash I would buy it. Make sure it is not stolen or there is something weird about it. BUT BUY IT! My Dad has one and he loves it! That Bike is the bomb and I am very, very jealous! I am normally a Honda guy, mostly because I can't afford a Duc! Dom
  2. It's just one of those things that you knida go... Damn I hope he is alright, but that was some funny shit! I am still laughing about it! Dom
  3. I can agree with you that spreading the load may be a better idea. I also think that people a lot of time assume that metal is the way to go for a lot of things that just don't need it. Like Slinks for example. I now that fabric can get cut and what not, where metal won't, but if you check your gear that shouldn't be a problem, you will see it if you look for it. Dom
  4. Actually I bought one and love it. It seems every f--ing time they come out with a new one I just have to buy it. I have to admit I was afraid the first time I used it. Kept seeing myslef cutting my throat with it because of the vibration. No worries! I have really sensitive skin, so much so that I usually don't shave unless I really have to (maybe once a week). It normally hurts to bad and my neck gets all kind of razor burn and bumbs on it. Not anymore! Dom
  5. No fight here brother. Just asking the why's. We just disagree on the plastic over the Metal that's all. I just think you are being kinda of conservative about the stops. You have every right to feel the way you do. I just think that if it has ever happened, it hasn't happened enough to really make enyhting out of it. Things that might have also played into them breaking are, possible the quality of plastic used and was the person that happened to way over the limit for that canopy? If so maybe the stops they had weren't tested to that much weight? I have seen people take terminal rides on Smarts and have had no problems with the plastic stops. We even had demo's out here that people jumped as mains and this wasn't an issue at all. Dom
  6. Have you ever seen a plastic slider stop break? I think they are better then the metal ones. SEems to me that the metal stops add more wear the the slots they sit in anyway. If those metal stops aren't tumbled correctly they can have burrs on them and mess up your canopy. The plastic stops seem to work just fine. I really think this is a non-issue. AS far as it basically being a Tri. So what! I put hundreds of jumps on a Tri and never had any problems landing it. In fact I loved it! It had great openings and great landings. Dom
  7. Nice Pics Duece! I still can't believe all the 2 of three video cameras didn't work on the 6 pt. 16 way. Dom
  8. THis weekend was pretty cool at Perris for sure. Those ballons where a great way to start the day. There was also a procession of Ultra lights that went by after the ballons left. Then the Tunnel was going off all weekend long as well. Lot's of cool demonstrations and free food and drinks! Not to many people where up for the first load on Sunday! Dom
  9. I'll be there for the SSL meet. If we are done I would love to be on Rosa's Birthday jump. Even if she isn't on it! Dom
  10. Only if you are real nice to me! If you aren't careful I may Grab it though. If you get bored watching landings then I will go do a HOp-n-pop and give ya something to ohh and aww about! No I am not that good, I can just fall down real good if I have to! Dom
  11. Do it man! The half pipe was one that he used at Disneyland for shows over there. He actually give it to the FlyBoyz and they set it up in the back lot of "The Ghetto". For those of you not familiar with "The Ghetto" It rocks! Small trailer park just across the street from the DZ that houses nothing but Skydivers and all of our toys! Cheap rent and good people and no worries! It's been there for over 20 years. The only thing, is that all the clocks seem to be stuck on 4:20!
  12. Duece is just jealous cause this is such a bitchin thread and has helped people get the BEST RIG ON THE MARKET !!!!!!

  15. We don't have a skate park on the DZ, but there is a 30 foot half pipe about an 1/8 of a mile off the DZ, that was donated by Bob Burnquist (if your kids are into skating they will know how he is) and Matt Hoffman comes out to the DZ as well (X-games BMX guy) in fact I just hung out with him a bit this weekend. Plus Mike Metzger (X-GAMES Free Style Motocross) has a shop right down the road and visits from time to time. All in all Perris has just about everything you want. Stop stalling and come to our playground! Dom
  16. Eloy rocks, but it just gets too hot during the summer. You can't jump as much as you really want to. Dom

  22. Lisa, I wouldn't ask what is a Bomproof exit. You are not always going to be able to do your favorite exit. If I where you I would focus on doing as many different exits as you can, of course getting to know each exit as best as possible, by repeating it more then once during the day. WE did a whole day of traing doing only Sat. exits and B.C told us to change it up. IF we are having a bad problem with a certain exit then maybe spend an entire day on it, since we are starting late training hardcore we need to get as many different ones in as we can. All that being said, the Meeker seems to be peoples favorite exit to launch. Most of the time it will spin a bit counter clockwise out the door. Point = diving, right arm out of the plane ready to present, left hand on theleft leg of the O.C. Pushing out and up a bit getting the right arm presented as much as possible. To the Point flyer it should feel like the formation is dropping away a bit from him (or her). If they are really heads up they may even dig in a bit to help keep it from spinning. O.C = floating with left hand on Bar and right hand on left leg of Tail. (this is my position), As I give the count I go down on set. Then out on go, Keeping my eyes on I.C. and making sure I get my legs presented fast. We where using a leg swing, but my leg kept getting ripped out of our point flyers hand as I swung it back out on go. Now he helps me to bring it up as I get going. I.C. = they are in side with there left hand on O.C. left upper arm grip and right hand on Point left leg. Pretty straight forward for this slot. Just get out and get presented keeping eyes with O.C and maybe evan helping point to stay up. Tail = I like doing this slot on exit. We have the tail facing in with his left hand on I.C. left leg and right hand on the bar. Sometimes I even head jam it. The trick to tail is to think about bringing your legs up and getting your head down as you clear the door. They have to present and get there body into the relaitve wind. B.C. explained it to me by saying , "think about hitting your head on the bottom of the door as you leave. Of course you want to clear it but, that is kinda of the mind set. Extend yourself out and bring your head down while presenting. your body into the wind. DOn't get your side into the wind. Make sure your chest into it. Hope that makes sense. BTW my favorite exit is A (unipod). NOt real hard and pretty straight forward I think. Dom
