  1. That is the new name for the entire location. I think it is kinda cool. "Hey, man where are you going today?" "Oh I'll be chillin at the Skypark jumping out of planes. Is this the Nick that has the Adreniline Junky tat on his stomache? If it is, shut up your gay! If it isn't, sorry! Dom
  2. Corey, there is actually a long history of internet dating and marriage at Blue Skies. Ask Dewey or any of the old Shelton crew about Jason. Dom
  3. Plain and simple, those types of stickers make people think for a minute when they see them. Supporting our troops can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. We turn on the tv and see the news every night and do you really see much on the war. Not really if you think about it. They may talk briefly and I mean breifly about what happend that day and then they go straight to what Britteny Spears did today, or how fat is J-lo's ass getting. It is ridiculous. As an ex soldier (I guess I will always be one at heart), I loved seeing those stickers wehn I got home from the 1st Gulf War. To me it let me know that some folks had at lease thought about us while we where over there. To me it shows that people have learned since the Vietnam war that soldiers are people. The way that soldiers where treated during that war was just wrong. So to see the little stickers on cars is great. Supporting our troops can be as little as a sticker or (In may case), when a soldier buys something from us here at SQ1, I spend a little time to talk to them and let them know that we appreciate what they are going through. You would be surprised how many orders I get from guys and girls serving over in Iraq or Afghanistan. They all say the same thing. Don't forget us over here. I am disgusted at how many skydivers don't care or don't know what is going on over there. As skydivers we should also think about these guys as our family, because so many of them are jumpers too. 4. Only when they are new like every rig. It takes time for the cordura to loosen up and let everything bend the right way. THis is true for every rig out there. Think back to when you got your rig. and how it felt and fit you.Now think about the way it feels today. I bet it is much more comfortable now. Dom
  5. I hate to do it. but I agree with JP! Damn it must be getting cold in hell today. Dom
  6. Mine is oh so sadQuote That is just so wrong! Dom
  7. Aerodyne also has the Solo Which is a Hybrid version of the Pilot. I think it is the best beginner canopy out there. You should look into it. Dom
  8. How much do you way man. 174 MPH is pretty fucking fast on your Belly. Dom
  9. I think it is a bit more then that, they may have gotten a few extra minutes since they are media. Or they got there on a day when it was slow and they had a few mnutes to get rid of. Dom
  10. HAve your rigger wash it for you. Since it needs to be repaired and repacked anyway. Just have your rigger take care of it. You can wash it yourself but I am to lazy for all that. I just give it up at repack time and tell my rigger to do it for me. Dom
  11. Evelyn, How much does tunnel time cost? Dom
  12. Infinity people are so nice! Always looking to help each other. Dom
  13. If you are asking the question you already know the answer. Dom
  14. Like Chuck said. You have to be able to see red or green. As a military rigger you must be Airborne and since green means go and red means stop, if you can't tell the difference they won't let ya be a rigger since you have to jump as well. Dom
  15. I think everyone should pack for the first 100 jumps minimum. You learn your gear. You learn how it works and can spot things that may be wrong. It builds confidence as well. Nothing bothers me more then to see someone sit around for 2 or 3 hours because they"can't pack"! I wanna jump but the packers are to busy! You should have to jump that pack job. See that you can do it. Packing is only hard in the beginning. !) or 15 minutes isn't hard to get down to. Hell when I started we didn't have packers. If you wanted to get on a plane you better pack the damn thing yourself. As students we sat around and fought over who was gonna pack that day to help the FJC so we could get them out of the way and get in the air ourselves. Plus the DZO paid us to pack them and it really helped get that A. Hell I bet the first year I was jumping I packed more for students then I did for myself, and I had less then 100 jumps that year. Dom
  16. Me thinks your test is screwy! I haven't seen one skydiver yet that picked red scredriver! Maybe we are all just a bit screwy! Dom
  17. SKip work, got to Disney! Tell the boss you got hurt skydiving! Dom
  18. Kris, he is refering to later on in your skydiving. THere will be a point when people say "Hey we are breaking at 4" You won't get much of a choice at that point. either break at 4 or piss everyone off by leaving early and they won't want to jump with ya anymore. You are fine now, with your jump numbers and experience, but it gets to a point where you should be comfortable with breaking off at 4 grand and dumping at 3 or so. This next stament is not directed to you, just a genreal comment. I think this is a problem with AFF. People are afraid to break off at what they consider low altitude. I think it makes some people dangerous at break off time. All of a suddenthey are in a poistion that requires them to break off at let's say 3.5k and they don't track because they are scared of that altitude. Sure it is getting down to the bottom but still plenty of time to track and pull safely. I see new students doing there hop-n-pops and get all stressed and scared, because it is "so low". If you guys want to get on the good loads later on, you will have to get used to lower break offs. Dom
  19. DO the camp Evelyn. You will have a blast, just relaxe those arms! Dom
