  1. hehehe, the one time someone can actually use the come back "I wrote the damn list".
  2. Anyone seen the film "Ransom"? I think the French Govt. could take their key from that film. Turn the demands back on the hostage takers. Ok: release the hostages within 24 hours or we'll send troops to support the coalition in Iraq! It would certainly make the terrorists think twice before killing them. Even if it didn't succeed this time, it might well the next time. It would be nice to see all countries that have been victim of this sort of attack jump on the bandwagon and every time a group takes one of their countrymen hostage, they should send more troops to Iraq. They’d get the message soon enough that taking hostages doesn’t work.
  3. And don't ever let anyone try to tell you that "blue" is not a flavour!
  4. That's not a criminal offence. It's a civil matter only. No - it talks about a sport which sometimes involves a civil wrong. The worst bit about your posts here is that you continue to defend your suggestion as a good idea. Good for the person committing the fraud perhaps... but not for society in general - but then that's theft for you. Theft is theft. It doesn't matter who someone steals from, they're still just a thief.
  5. This is one of the most frequently asked questions. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=sabre+safire&search_type=AND&search_fields=sb&search_time=&search_user_username=&sb=score&mh=25 Consider also the pilot.
  6. Good advice is always to air on the side of caution...
  7. I think he probably would if it wasn't for the fact that most of his friends own Galaxy's and they keep having to get them repaired when the needle falls.
  8. Does smothering count as "harm"? or Try pillows as bolsters to make sure she stays on her front and cannot role over.
  9. I belive this is what they're referring to: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=30510
  10. In your first post you are condoning, supporting and encouraging theft. Your post is an incitement to commit a criminal offence. That act is in itself a criminal offence. Insurance fraud affects all our policies and screws up the legal system in general. You are an idiot to suggest it. I don’t find it funny in the slightest.
  11. Yes it is. I agree completely. I also believe it is a disrespect to all the French troops that died fighting against the second and third Reichs to say that they froze in combat. That is an untruth and a dishonour to their deaths - deaths which helped to keep the world (including America) free. If one is an insult - so is the other. Why was there no one attacking the poster who slated the French Army? Not even the French attacked him - only joked with him. See both sides and be reasonable. If you are to honour the dead, honour all the dead you died for YOU.
  12. Both of you are seriously wrong about your preconceptions about French conduct and losses. WWI French losses were 25 times that of the US. WWII French losses in total were more than 2 and a half times greater than US losses - and considering their minimal involvement in the Pacific those losses are even more telling. His response was a joke dig back at a snide comment. Think about the comment that caused him to reply in the light of French losses during the wars.
  13. Chill - it was in response to an equally snide comment made about french troops. Do you realise how many crosses of French troops there are located across Northern France? I'll bet it's approaching 2 million if not in excess of.
  14. I'll stop caring when 100% are prevented.
  15. "aquire" the Pro version. It recognises MP3s.
  16. That attitude is the reason the US has so many problems with it's legal system. Keep it the hell away from my country. I fight against it every day and it's getting worse. Fucking money grabbers! He's entitled to a new bumper and fuck all else - why's that concept difficult to grasp? You might as well recomend him to go sue his dropzone for $10,000 because they allowed him to jump when he'd packed himself a mal and cost himself a repack.
  17. I named my cat Sun Tzu. He truly is a worthy read for anyone but not exactly for the faint hearted. He's still required reading for Chinese Army Officers. Clausewitz On War is good too – he’s just less of a philosopher and a little more practical.
  18. So is a safire one 169 8% smaller than a sabre one 170 as we've been led to believe or are they the same?
  19. Oh, of course - the dreaded D-connector... that's what you meant by a "10 pin connector". Nope - there's nothing out there that I've seen and of course they've ripped all the other connectivity out of the cameras. I know people have had problems actually finding straight ones, never mind a low profile connector. I'm guessing you're gonna be out of luck given the bulk of the plug design. It might be possible to buy one cheap, strip it down to just the wire then shrink tube it onto a 90 deg plug...
  20. Do you want the S-video cable or the 3.5mm 4-pole to phono plug (yellow jack)? The both do the same job... I can give you a link to the 4-pole, but I'd be surprised if you can find a low profile s-video plug.
  21. I said a year ago they were going to drive each other under before they even got going. Pitty. Now there's only one in the running lets hope it actually comes to fruition.
  22. I had a giggle flying out of my local airport earlier in the year. They x-rayed my rig and freeze framed on it and blew it up for everyone to stand round and look at. I moved a little close and asked if they wanted to know what it was. Supervisor proudly announced that she could see quite clearly what it was - it was climbing equipment and I could go on my way. Er...yeah... that's right... climbing equipment.... I'll just go on my way then... cheers.
  23. Especially when you consider that it's just a fancy name for the "Flu"!! Quick check on the CDC reveals that even today, 39,000 people die from it each year in the US.
  24. Cool - so long as you wouldn't need to pay to have the lens changed for you or anything silly like that?
