1. Really..... I don't believe it. I'm gonna watch tonight with that in mind.
2. But check out Leann - not only is she incredibly hot, but she's also a skydiver! http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor9/survivors/bios/leann.shtml (although what's the betting that means she's done a tandem).
3. You can't argue with that – you’re all right to say it. I never said mine would be the intelligent choice, nor even the recommended choice... in fact I specifically said it would be “dumb shit”. There can be no doubt that chasing below 2000ft can never be the right thing to do… it’s just that I can see a time when it might be the right thing to do if you catch my drift. I only mean that in some very specific circumstances where I'm there and I'm just struggling to pull for them - it’s the only choice that would allow me to sleep at night.... even if it is "dumb shit".
4. After a close call a couple of years back, I check ID! You're only how old? Amazing what a push up bra, lippy and high heal shoes can do....
5. Yeah I got caught by the boobies scam last year. But forewarned is forearmed. No one's seeing my bumb till they get me drunk!
6. Try secateurs then - the more pronounced the curve the better. The curved bar should hold the helmet in towards the centre of the leaver action and the one blade should be enough to do the cutting.... I figure anyway... someone would have to test it I guess. (as below in case they're called something different over there) http://www.ormistonrenwick.co.uk/images/large/secateurs.jpg
7. I don't care what, where, who or why - detention without charge is a really bad idea. It's a pity there's a general trend in some countries at the moment towards the acceptance of it in instances where evidence is lacking. Those, IMO are the very times when we need the protection of the presumption of innocence and our recourse to the courts. Steps in that direction must be taken VERY tentatively, if at all, and with appropriate checks and balances built into the system at ground level. That's not happening, as it's being done in a hurried and half assed manner.
8. I think that's the argument the US govt. uses. I'm not even gonna try and enter into the argument about who's rules to apply when county A arrests someone from country B in country C and holds them in country D... It's the Court's job to decide who's rules apply... I believe they spoke on the issue earlier in the year - hearings for all. Personally I think it should apply EVERYWHERE and to EVERYONE... principals are principals. They're also supposed to be the principals of the country I live in... I don't think certain countries should be looking to loop holes to squrim out of the principals they're suppost to be upholding.
9. "If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!" If you can cope with some red pen you can cope with being shat on by your boss for screwing up.
10. Reserves are just there for the amusement of those watching. When I watch the para’s dump out their FJC from a Herc over Weston you get about 10% with a dual out. Often done while kicking out twists, but I once saw a guy (through zoom lens on SLR) pull his reserve instead of releasing his bergen.
11. Yup, but it’s also likely that the Chechens are gonna find themselves in an equally big world of hurt. Terror campaigns damage Western countries because we have rules we have to play by and our leaders have to worry about getting elected the next time round. Russia’s just likely to bomb the crap out of Chechnya in response to this sort of tactics. Where we respond with arrests, intelligence and surgical strikes, Russia’s likely to respond with a tank Regiment.
12. Looks like this is turning out to be a full blown campaign...
13. This is why there are procedures in place that must be followed when ANYONE is detained on suspicion of ANYTHING. People MUST be charged and the evidence against them MUST be tested. Who knows how many of the people detained without charge at the various detention centres across the world fit into the same bracket as these people…
14. Who the hell cares what they think - they're a PE teacher! What in the hell are they marking anyway? "Those who can; do. Those who can't; teach. Those who can't teach; teach PE." (sorry all teachers - not my quote).

real man-BOOBS

Bloody funny mind.
16. Oh, and one more stipulation: I'd have to be "just about there". I've not got the skills to reliably swoop someone, starting at 2k and finishing at 1.5k or 1k with enough certainty that I'd be able to do any good in time... If I'd started out the door and were almost there by the time I passed through my hard deck, well I'd just have to try a little more... If I've got my mate at 1400 and I'm struggling for the handle - so be it. If I'm still 30 ft away I'd have to question the point of risking myself when the chance of being able to help is by that point slim. The addage "a hard deck is a hard deck is a hard deck" is there... but I chose my hard deck with a good margine for error and large comfort zone. I know the absolute minimum hard deck is somewhat lower than that and in a life or death situation I may well choose to eat into that buffer zone so that I may sleep at night.
17. What do you say to a hubby who says you can't jump this weekend and has two black eyes? Nothing - you've already told him twice.
18. Almost ditto. I wouldn't ask for them to pay for my reserve re-pack. If they wanted to, I wouldn't protest too much, but it was my choice to go after them... it was my choice to use my reserve. (edited to add - unless it was something super dumb which knocked em out... then they're paying for the lot as well as my time at my usual buisness rate). I wear an AAD so I'm pretty much forced to break off at about 1000ft and go to silver in the 1 second before it fired anyway. They'd have to be a really good friend for me to go that low. If I didn't know them, but they're simply a fellow skydiver I'd follow down below 2k but toss at 1500 at the VERY latest but only because my main spanks the crap out of me anyway and I'm happy that the 2 out risk is minimal for me at that altitude. Dumb shit, but we're talking about a real emergency situation. At least I'd be able to hold my head up high at their funeral if I failed.
19. Someone should go down your local hardware shop and buy a set of tin snips (or like). They would make short work of the chin guard on any helmet on the market today with the absolute minimum of movement to the patient. Now you've cut the chin guard straight off, it's as if they're wearing an open face.
20. I've seen an interview with the cast and they admit that they simply got to a point in the movie where they couldn't work out how to best get to the next scene. So they stuck that bit in. If it looks like it was just shoe horned in there... well... it was.
21. Whatever happened to the Popular Front of Judea? He's over there. .... SPLITERS!
22. Perris has a video DZ brief and waiver video. (coupled with paperwork). All exp jumpers have to watch it and sign to say they've seen it, and state the date and that they've seen it into a camera.... but then that's california.
23. Judging by your examples, I'm guessing you're not selling these to tandem pax.... Hmmm... how about: "... now that we've fixed the plane". "... after that last time". "... you rip the tail off the plane and kill all the other jumpers". "near terminal freefall collision". "we'll have to cut you out of your leg straps".
24. From this Friday - some guy proved he couldn't have been doing 115mph as the police claimed: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/3605446.stm
