Sorry to burst your bubble Ron, but there you're just wrong. Things either are or are not. It's a quantum physics kinda thing. On the other hand things can be 51% proved or 95% proved or any other degree of proof. Only 51% is required unless you're talking about a criminal conviction. You seem to be confusing proof with certainty. You said trannies chose to be that way. I said that most literature and the trannies themselves would disagree with you on that. You've yet to adduce any evidence in support of your position that the majority of literature and the community does actually agree with you. Unless you can show me otherwise my comment stands. So far you've simply given us your own guesses about the meat of the topic as opposed to actually addressing my comments. Prove that the community itself and literature does not disagree with you? After all that's all I ever brought up - that they disagree with you. I'll even let you prove it to 51%.

Selective bolding can twist a sentance many ways. As for proof - it all depends on the degree of proof one is looking for. You commonly seem to require of people a criminal standard of proof on here - somewhere above 95%. Thankfully this isn't a criminal matter - the relevant standard of proof is the balance of probablilities - 51%. When you consider you have your pure guess plus the guesses of a few others who do not live this life vs. the opinions of all the people who do live the life AND scientific studdies which show that a sexuality is likely linked to genetics and spread over a number of genes (ie there is no one individual "gay gene" but many - again nice selective bolding) you end up with a pretty good conclusion that the weight of evidence is swung heavily in favour of these people having very little choice in the matter. So Ron. Why did you choose to be attracted to women instead of men? (on the assumption you're heterosexual of course). It's a choice right? So we must each exercise it. Why did you exercise your choice in favour of women? If you didn't exercise a choice - you're just that way - then why are homosexuals not just that way from birth? Perhaps you feel there is an inherrant preferrence for heterosexualism... well where is that preferrence to be found? DNA? What if the "preferrence genes" are missing or corrupted? Might some term those missing/corrupted genes "gay genes"? At the end of the day though - this is something of an asside to the dunny argument. Feel free to split it off if you feel the need to re-hash this old argument once more.
-
You thinking they weren't does not make it not so. Sorry Ron, but I'd take a couple the word of a couple of hundred thousand people who are actually in the situation over your guess on the matter. They're living it. You're guessing. Once again - DNA does not yet conclusively prove anything either way. There are some studdies out there that do seem to be indicating a genetic link though:

Cool. No more debate. We shall now apply your exceptioanlly well thought out rules and all those who were born men and have now had gender realignment surgery shall go to the ladies shitter. I'm personally quite happy with that. Nor do I care much if a bloke in drag goes to the same dunny as me cos he has a cock.
-
Only in as much as they did not choose to be the way they are.
-
We don't know the genome in that much detail yet so that question can be neither proved nor disproved by that means right now. The only evidence we have on the issue is all the homosexuals who say they were "born" gay as opposed to choosing to be gay. The same comments are made by those who consider themselves to have "been born in the wrong body" and thus cross dress or undergo gender change surgery.

News: Sky diver reaches for speed record
mr2mk1g replied to cpoxon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Depends what record you're talking about. For a record within the sport of "speed skydiving" you have to fulfull certain criteria relating to exit altitude, the altitudes between which your speed is recorded and the equipment used to record that speed. As Colonel Kittinger did not use red ISSA protracks and was under canopy before hitting the entry gates for the measurement part of his dive he probably wouldn't score too well. Besides he was in drogue fall not free fall if you want to be pedantic. But for the fastest falling human being - sure he trumps any speed skydiver hands down. -
Most transsexuals and literature on the subject would disagree with you on that. (at least with regard to homosexual transsexuals of course as opposed to those who simply dress that way for sexual kicks).

My understanding was that some guy from Lichtenstein was the world record holder. -

Right now as we speak the world record holder is a small skinny guy and the world champion is a big heavy guy. According to the seminar I sat in on with the world champion, it's more about tecnique than build. -
Suzuki GSX-R1000 @ 174mph accident (VERY GRAPHIC!)
mr2mk1g replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
Tell you what, I'll post excerpts from my notes of the last coroners inquest in which I was instructed to act. It was only last week. Obviously I've blanked out anything that identifies anyone with the word "BLANK". Its obviously not the same but similar enough. This occured last year on a fairly narrow built up residential street in the UK with parked cars down one side and terraced housing facing directly onto the pavement. Note that the child the motorcyclist struck was unharmed beyond some cuts and bruises. Deceased was riding a Honda VFR 800 motorcycle. The last one I could tell you about before that incident involved the motorcylist being liberated of his head after taking on a lorry. The female driver following the mortorcyclist was unable to avoid driving over his now detached head and suffered serious psychological injuries. Be careful out there folks. -
I voted for you to get "implants". Some big ass implants - like a D cup or something. Sure your teath would suck... but who the hell would be looking at them. Besides, new teath are no fun when your on your own... my way - hell, you'd have som titties to play with.

Firewire cards are cheap. They all work to the same spec too so an expensive one isn't any faster than a cheap one. It's got three external and a nice bonus one internal port so its not exactly a bob-basic one either. The internal one means you can hook up a port on the front of your pc if you like so you don't have to go crawling round the back every time you need to plug something in. If it's cheap and breaks throw it away and buy another. That said, I doubt it will break before you decide you want a new, new-fangled computer with "megawire" (TM) ports and a "SuperGizzmoDrive" (TM) anyway. Besides, it's got a 5 year warrantee.

Excecution of Iraq Chopper Shoot Down Survivor
mr2mk1g replied to Duckwater's topic in Speakers Corner
No. Although that could just be that I didn't see that thread. I do remember a marine who killed an insurgent because the wounded insurgent had been judged by a medic to be beyond all hope of saving. Just as illegal but a slight moral distinction in my opinion at least. I'm not sure it's a particularly great comparator for this situation though. Also... wasn't this thread longer a minute ago? -
Ever heard of conditional fee arrangements? AKA "no-win-no-fee" arrangements? i.e. we'll bring your lawsuit for free but take a cut of your damages if you win. Think they exist for defendants? Nope... cos there are no damages from which to take a cut. What if you succeed in your defence – you get your costs paid right? Oh, so sorry – the claimants are broke. Sucks to be you. Still think it's just as hard to bring a case as it is to defend a case?
-
"Auctor" can also be translated as "originator" which makes far more sense than "vendor" considering it's not necessarily the vendor who gets sued... but the "originator" of the item; be that the manufacturer, the dealer, the vendor - whoever's appropriate under the circumstances.

Almost the perfect Catch-22 is it not? If you're confused and fearful about an impending invasion, surely that proves your sanity? -
