  1. Our Cypress, Astras, and FXCs led us to Iraq? Someone needs to get out to the DZ. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  2. Well? It's a poll, no need to comment, but please, be honest in your answers. Why? Simply because I'm curious. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  3. Constrained as not to interfere with others ... FEELINGS? You have GOT to be kidding me! MY freedoms need to be constrained so that I don't hurt your FEELINGS? Un-freaking-believable. Absolutely un-freaking-believable. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  4. Deleted because it's already been covered - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  5. It's already been mentioned, it's about more than simply being inconvenienced. You, however, don't seem to get that. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  6. Lets's see, a Republican controlled Congress passes the "Patriot Act" which is signed into law by a Republican president. Your comment is asinine. The Patriot Act was passed OVERWHELMINGLY in Congress. It wasn't just the Republicans who signed the bill. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  7. And apparently the editor at the Times Record. I'm sure that they didn't print it simply to take up space. Ultra right? Hardly. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  8. One would have thought that Afghanistan had no capability to strike within the US either. Guess what? They did. Just to save you the trouble -- Afghanistan knowingly harbored AQ, they're just as responsible as anyone else for the WTC and Pentagon attacks, as well as the downed aircraft in PA. The WORLD already knows that SH supported terrorism against Israel. Why should we believe that he wouldn't support it against the US? I'll bet that before 9/11 that you didn't think AQ was a direct threat to the US either. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  9. Most folks I know have a fixed rate mortgage. Even adjustable rate mortgages are usually fixed for quite a few years and have a cap on how high the interest rates climb. Ron, there are so many offers out there right now, many of them geared at those who have a steady income, but no real savings. Michele already mentioned it, but 80/20 and 80/15/5 loans are available. Two mortgages, one for 80% of the value, the second for 20% (would have normally been your downpayment), but at a slightly inflated interest rate. The 80/15/5 is 80% primary, 15% secondary, and 5% down. Hell, you can even finance an additional 3% to cover your closing costs. My opinion, there's no better time than now to buy a home. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  11. Look at the bigger picture. By examining the success, or failure, of programs like this, other societies can comment, discuss, and evaluate, a 'solution' such as this for use in their land. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  12. Haven't the Palestinians sworn to keep fighting until all the Jews in Israel are dead? There's not a peaceful solution to this particular problem. Unfortunate, but true, I'm afraid. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  13. Should I spend more time in Newark, NJ, where my production website is located? With modern communication systems is it really necessary to be in Washington? Can the President continue to do his job while at the ranch? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  14. Your entire argument seems to be based around the Stafford loan and its cap of six thousand something dollars. You've ignored other sources of financial aid. Hell, when I was in school I got almost 15K a year in aid (which I am still repaying). I'm sure that it didn't all come from the Stafford loan. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  15. Last I checked, this wasn't a two party system. There are plenty of people out there who want your vote. Don't like Bush or Kerry? Vote for the party of your choice and send a message. To vote for someone you don't like because you like the competition less is a wasted vote. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  16. Yes, yes they did. Nightingale, response? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  17. Sip, my ass. No kidding. No one in their right mind would dare sip anything from the folks over at Cuervo. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  18. To Nightingale and SkyDekker - what do you suggest that we do when people under 12 commit heinous crimes such as murder. Personally, I don't think that their age is important. In most cases, they most certainly are aware that what they are doing is morally wrong. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  21. Yes, it is. Or at least it was. SH was paying the families of suicide bombers in Isreal. If that's not supporting terror, then I don't know what is. The only reason that Iraq is, as you call it, a 'poor country', is because SH stole from it's people. There _should have been_ more than enough wealth to go around. Every single man and woman in the United States Armed Forces knows that going to war, and dying, might be a part of the deal. I feel badly for those who have lost loved ones, and friends, but it's a part of the deal. Every single person serving in the military knows this. Every single one. You could start with the hundreds of fractured Israeli families. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  22. Not going to war with a country over torture isn't the same as supporting it, Bill. You know that. Nice try. WRT pulling out the Fifth Group Special Forces, I was unaware of that, and also unaware of their credentials. Thanks for the information. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 23. It's the War on Terror, Bill, not torture. Yes, it's been in the planning stages for quite some time. Since before, and during the Clinton administration, IIRC. Yes, US Servicemen, our allies, and the Iraqi people die every day in Iraq, and that's a shame. Really. Hopefully we'll do something decicive to fix that situation soon. As far as your claim that this has distracted, or taken away from, the search for Al Qaeda, I don't see any proof of that. What? It's not on the front page anymore? Blame the media. We've still got a sizable force in Afghanistan. We'll find them. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  24. No it wasn't. Under Clinton we were all riding the wave created by the dot.com bubble. That bubble burst and now we're living in its aftermath. The economy is currently recovering, however. It's just going to take some time. As far as your terror link goes, you're right, as far as I know, there's no direct link between SH and OBL. However, there is a direct link between SH and terrorism in other parts of the world, and directly against our allies. Remember, we declared a war on terror, not simply a war on OBL. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  25. If you look at the numbers, 12 year olds in the US generally do not murder other people. However, if they do, you can bet your last dollar that they'll be punished. How would they be treated in Canada? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
