  1. Hey Mark...more than 100 other people that got their notices were at about 3 weeks...they're nation wide, but I wonder if WA has that law, if any other states do too? For California's Labor Code. Have fun! I read it 4 years ago to be able to file against my then current employer. And won! :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. This -used- to be a sure thing until a rude awakening back in 1998 when "someone" in the White House decided to re-organize Medicare. It was cut so severely that the elders of our nation got their benefits cut by almost 1/2...thus the closing of many service providers. Yes, the Boomers are getting up there in years (thanks for reminding me how old I am ;^) ), but I'm afraid that as the numbers rise, so equally the benefits will drop. I hope not, but it's already happening (at least in my line of work). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Damn, -another- broken skydiver! Sorry to hear about your pain. And now.... ...get ready for some P.T.! Your arms are going to be SO awesome from using crutches! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Think of it like you have a horrible toothache. You drive yourself to the dentist to get it fixed. Upon exiting from your car at the dentist's office, you slam your finger in your car door! Now what hurts?! At that moment, I bet you wouldn't be able to tell the dentist that you had a toothache at all! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. It was His blood that was shed -for- us, to pardon us. If there was no sin, He would not have had to come. No, our blood is not spilt. His was. For us. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. We are -all- responsible, for we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I know I have. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  9. Thanks....from all the physical therapists out there....you're our kind of guy! :^) edit to add: You ALL are a physical therapist's dream! Sports injuries with people who can live through the pain! Think I can start a practice with this group! Any takers? ;^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  11. Sorry about your misfortune! I've been there, done that more times than I'd like to count. Some have been from downsizing, others I've found a better opportunity and moved on. The most notice I've been given was 2 months (hospital that was downsizing ALL their departments across the board), the least was 2 weeks (they hired me before they looked at their statistic flow). The medical field is different than corporate business. For the most part we're patient centered, not self-centered....so everyone wins. The only time there is an instant lay-off is when someone has ALREADY been written up on a travesty of conduct and didn't heed the warning. That can be instant dismissal. Got to say, though, that the most sweet departure of all was when -I- gave -them- notice AND applied for unemployment. The company fought me, but EDD came down on my side and made them pay!!
  12. Lori...how are you going to build on that? How about This One. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  15. Keith is a quadraplegic. I'm sure he'd LOVE to have his arms and hands restored, though. And you bet, he -is- a skydiver still. Even if he didn't come for jumps anymore. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Knee width

This information is correct. However, it was interesting to me, when reviewing film from a Perris event (Battle of the Sexes on February 14) that the two very highly experienced 4-way competitors, Nina Kubler from the Swiss team and Jacquelen O'Brien from the U.S. Women's 4-way team had their knees wider than all the rest! Check out this picture from my web page. Nina is the one black on black to her left is Jaquelen in the blue with red rig. Makes one wonder what else they've done to keep their arch, yet keep their legs wide and powerful.
