I think you need 20% off or more to get in to the Pieces Of Eights.... You also need a prosthesis that -could- be lost in freefall. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I disagree with this statement. Just because someone is AFF qualified does NOT mean that person is also qualified to teach anything in a wind tunnel. True. That is why Perris (for example) uses only tunnel trained AFFI's to work with their students in the tunnel. This not only allows the student to progress the way the school wants (body position, hand signals, etc) but also can instill confidence in the student when he's able to use the same instructor to transition into the sky later in the day. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Beautiful work by all! Must have been an awesome visual, watching it build time and time again under your lens, Paul!

I can't find their names anywhere on the Perris website. Where whould I email them? First start with a toll free call HERE. You'll be able to talk with the school, and if you ask for either Moley or Stewart they'd be able to answer your questions on how to go about transferring your knowledge into the system...and getting you that coached tunnel time. IMHO, I'd go with an AFFI, who is trained in the tunnel, too, to find exactly what you're looking for. At Perris we have many such qualified instructors. Look forward to meeting you when you come visit us.

First off I'd contact the Perris school and let them know what you're up against. They offer tunnel training with their AFF staff and can get you back into the air on Level 4 without a hitch after that. Be sure to bring your video footage of your previous jumps with you. It's very valuable when descerning what's going on, and will save you alot of time with future training. Here's Perris' web page: http://www.skydiveperris.com/ Moley and Stewart are the chief instructors. They'll hook you up and get you through to the next round....

From the Owner's Manual (pg 33)....there is a 'back-light' button on the left hand side of the TRV22...right above the LCD screen. You don't even have to go into the 'menu' to do this. It's a real -honest-to-god-button that they left in place for you to play with.

Why is a female life more "valuable" than a male?

Interesting study here, Bill: "Baby Boys Disappearing". ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Wow, Steve! We could compare videos! I thought, for sure, that my slider must have been still been stowed or something....when I dared to look up I found that it was open and full. I let it ride that way all the way down. I was so scared that -something- must have been broken (on my or the canopy). I kept checking the canopy all they way down, but it was fine. And yes, my chin and jaw are very very sore, too. As a therapist I keep stretching my jaw to avert a TMJ problem from cropping up. The right intrinsic muscles are much tighter than the left. I had two video cameras on (competition set-up) and the heavier of the two was on the right side of the two top-mounts. Glad you are ok. Hope Bonehead can help you out. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Was listening to KNPR on the way to work this morning and they made a bit of mention on the subject of women in the media news. However, this satire comes from www.thepoorman.net, right? Kind of "Muscat Humor"... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
No, it wasn't re-lined. I bought the canopy last year and it's got maybe 300 jumps on it. Consulting with a rigger, it seems that it might have been an issue of the slider not being completely up against the canopy during the packing. I switched rigs for the rest of the day, then pulled that rig out again for Sunday's jumps. It opened just fine on yesterday's jumps. I flinched every time I pulled, though. :^( ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

LOL yes but ,but ,but....can you say tunnel? skydiving and, and, and... It's Monsoon season in AZ, right? Who'd want to be there with all that heat lightning bouncing around? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

On a Spectre eh? Fun hearing your neck crack isn't it... Canuck Yeah, on a Spectre. My deployment altitude was my in-the-saddle altitude, too. Actually didn't hear my neck crack. Either my stretches in the morning helped or the sound of the opening muffled the crack. Either way, I was -so- surprised the I could still feel my arms and my neck moved without pain. I'm so glad that I keep my head in a neutral position on opening, so that it moved with the proper line of physical structure. No twisting or turning the head on opening. Proper treatment afterwards kept the damage to a minimum. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Boy wouldnt that be a hoot? I however, am not going to Ramtool this year. Somebody has to stay home But, but, but....it's during the heat of the summer! Isn't AZ closed down during that time? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So sorry you lost your stuff! Sucks! I was surprised that I didn't lose my BatRak when I had an instant opening on Saturday. Just ask quade, who was dubbing video for the SSL competition. It was like toss-smack! My chin hit my sternum so hard it left a big bruise! In my opinion, if your riser hit your helmet -that- hard feel lucky it took your helmet and -not- your head. I feel -very- lucky that my canopy opening didn't snap my neck. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Nah. Keep it only on this thread. Leave it to just the rabid DC-9 fans to find it here. Kind of like a treasure hunt. You have to -find- it before you can sign up. Got my request in for the time off....hope they give it to me, since I'm taking Nat's and JFTC off this year already! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
