  2. ***We, the passenger, Instructor and I will drink that bottle together!! For God's sake, Dough just tried to explain a tradition that you must keep it! I never mentioned that the passenger is the one to buy a bottle of crown! Now back to the original posts. No hijacking please!!! Gus Marinho
  3. Another bottle of crown to my collection! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  4. 4 months later and some rehab I am back to work on light duty but unfortunetly my jumping days are over due to the back repair, but if I could i would be jumping tommorrow. Gus Marinho
  5. *RR-Tandem tension knots. Nice reserve opening on that one. Just who packed that anyways.......... Gus Marinho
  6. Hey Alex, It seems to me that one(outside)A line was installed incorrected. It's passing through the slider grommet that belongs to C, D & brake lines! Nice picture!!!
  7. Oh, and my brain has malfunctioned a few times causing me to make some poor decisions. Gus Marinho
  8. (I think) the cause was: RR#1-FXC fired on the same time I pulled the main. RR#2-Bad line twist on my canopy. RR#3-Line over. RR#4-Broken lines RR#5-Bag lock. RR#6-High speed spinning malfunction (one toggle came undone). All right, the list above is all my malfunctions. I'm not looking for numbers, just type of malfunctions, but you're free to list all your malfunctions. RR stands for "Reserve Ride"! Have fun, Gus Marinho
  9. Hey Dima, don't forget to tell us what you think about your canopy with the new lines! Be safe & have fun, Gus Marinho
  10. Agreed! But you can use the winds to your favor! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  11. Common on Elisha, give us a feedback how's your canopy is flying in comparison with the old lines!!! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  12. Hey Brian, what's up?!?! I've talked with the old man and told him that Flight Co. discontinued tha ariel! Red, the owner of FC can give a 50%off toward a new canopy of your choice from them! It's a pretty good deal!!!! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  13. Agreed with Mel! I also think that zig-zags don't give a nice straight stitch work as a simple single needle. They don't look symmetrical! One more thing is the thickness of the needle. Normally zig-zags use a thicker needle and they are not suitable for canopy work. I believe, and most of you guys also, that there is a specific machine for each type of work. Cheers, Gus Marinho
  14. Hi, Is it possible that the jumper pull the right rear riser thinking he's pulling the toggles? Is it possible that he pulled the toggles and for some reason the right one got stuck on the cateye/brake loop and he thought he's pulling the toggle? That canopy somehow just had the right rear riser pulled down in my opinion! Off course it looks bad because the short time the jumper had to fly the canopy! I hope this helps! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  15. Beezy my friend, what's up man?!?! Common on, you know it can be done. Specially with spectra lines!!!! ps. We don't make lineset in our shop! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  16. Hi Elisha, Technically, it takes about an hour to make a lineset for a sport canopy. Sometimes, they have a lot of orders to be done and new employees. Once, it took almost a month to get a lineset, but the customer understood the situation and he's very happy with his new canopy. The good thing is that you're getting the lineset from the manufacturer. The way we do in our shop is we only get the customer's canopy when we receive the lineset. This way, the customer can jump until he gets the new lineset. Cheers, Gus Marinho
  17. Hi Rich & Mel, Please, contact Ankie at Sunrise Rigging, the manufacturer of the wings container, and ask if this work is an alteration!!! Their number is (813) 780-7369 or info@skydivewings.com Have a great day! Gus Marinho
  18. Hi Rich, I understand where you come from, but on this specific case, this is not an alteration! Cheers, Gus Marinho
  19. Thanks Mick for your kind words! Cheers, Gus Marinho

  21. They have the lineset at wal-mart for only $30.00, but if you want the good one, you can just contact Aerodyne? Cheers, Gus Marinho
  22. Hi Husam, How's everything? Here is one option of frap hats manufacturer. http://www.egsky.com/clothing/home.php EG or Edgard makes frap hats to our gear shop quite often. Take care, Gus Marinho
  23. I'm sorry, but I thought you were a rigger! There is no risk involved! I just wonder how can I keep track of this over 300 customers!! When manufacturers don't write on their manuals what a rigger servicing their products can do or not, it opens windows for fair and unfair interpretations. I really understand why skip wants to do that, but this is in a personal situation. Dealing with a lot of customers daily is a completely different thing. This issue is just my interpretation! Cheers, Gus Marinho
