Well if I'm naked I'm sure I'll be getting warm somehow and I'm sure no hat will be required. Fly it like you stole it!

How about something like this. http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=39166965&memberId=12500226 http://www.rei.com/product/47801822.htm?vcat=REI_SSHP_CAMPING_TOC I just think this one is sexy. Front loading is usually only in the larger packs. I have a Wmns North Face pack from 2000 which is tricked out, but it cost around $300. Derek has a kelty that has tons of options just not front loading that cost about $120. North Face Kelty Fly it like you stole it!

Could this really happen to/with any other rig (long)
skycat replied to feuergnom's topic in Gear and Rigging
Preliminary inspection on the Mirage last night showed that as long as the main pin protection stayed closed it couldn't be duplicated due to all the stiffeners and layers of fabric. We also have a javelin sitting in our house that we can test out tonight. Looks like Hooknswoop is going to get to start experimenting again. Fly it like you stole it! -
I have a pair of gloves and wear them biking and have put a few jumps on them. I love them, it was the best $30 I ever spent. I have a monkey fist though so slipping on a leather hacky wasn't an issue. I'd shop around though you may be able to get the base layers on line cheaper. Also what is your exact aplication because there are may other fabrics out there that work at windstopping but just don't have the gor-tex (which is what is expensive) such as several different kinds of windstoper fleece. Just to be fair you need to include Astra in that free ride. Fly it like you stole it!

No whining or I'll post what to wear so you don't have to run the heater all winter. BTW....my dog is boycotting her bed and sleeping in mine because I've been keeping the thermostat set to 64 so I don't have such a high electric bill. Fly it like you stole it!

Put a hat on...really it works, since most of the heat is lost through your head by just wearing a hat can greatly reduce the heat your body losses. Fly it like you stole it!

Where can I find a variety of colors of supplex for freefly pants
skycat replied to fireflytx's topic in Gear and Rigging
try www.seattlefabrics.com I've been able to get a lot of different kinds of fabrics through them. Edited cause I can't spell Thanks Eric that is what I get for not previewing my post 1st. Fly it like you stole it! -
As I told the academy pukes that wouldn't put their seatbelts on while in a 182 at collegates, "Hey fuckers, I've been in a jump plane crash, that shit helps, so fucking put it on!" They gave me a very weird look and then quickly put their seatbelts on. As in Air Force Academy? I wonder what was up their butts, they know better, it's not like a 206 isn't one of the normal jumpships for them. Fly it like you stole it!

I somehow have a feeling that there aren't any men that could easily take this guy down either. I don't do martial arts, but I have a feeling it's like a lot of other sports including skydiving and rockclimbing. While we as women in general are not as strong as men, we make up for it in technique and flexibility. So while hooknswoop is way stronger than me, when we were climbing hard core I was just as good if not better then him on certain climbs because my balance and technique was better. So something crazy over hung he did really well on, while something thin and balancy I did better on. Fly it like you stole it!

A few years ago Derek and I were talking about things DZs could do to draw jumpers. One of them was a VIP member ship, something like $200 for the year and you get access to the lounge with movies and games. Access to the VIP bunk house, discount on meals at the DZ diner, and such. This would be separate from the jump ticket packages, which allows jumpers to pick and choose the packages that are right for them. For example: Jump ticket package Coaching RW/FF/Canopy package Video package Team package VIP package Tunnel package Then the person can mix and match what fits their needs best. Such as I would probably do something like the Jump ticket, Tunnel, and FF Coach packages, but I wouldn't need the others. I know this doesn't help you on cost, but maybe it can give you an idea of how to work it out to fit more jumpers needs. Fly it like you stole it!

So how come Javelin has never had a problem? Their cutter is located on the backpad about as far away from the pin as possible, and a Javelin spring compared to a mirage spring isn't as strong. Fly it like you stole it!
