No skydiving in Wyoming. Colorado maybe?
skycat replied to xdoctor's topic in Events & Places to Jump
There are several posts about sky high advnetures and having seen the place I'd advise to not jump there. For quit awhile there were non-rated instructors (instructor had 70 jumps) puting out static line students, they crashed their plane a year ago or so and I'm not sure they even have a new one. I'd say go to Mile High or Skydive the Rockies both DZ offer better student programs that High Sky Adventure ever could. Fly it like you stole it! -
Unfortunately there aren't to many options in CO. I agree he needs to go boogieing, the amount of people at boogies who will offer their advice whether you want it or not is is huge. Fly it like you stole it!

I feel your pain my new dog is in the $500 range in the 1st 3 weeks I had him (tape worm, Giardia, Kennel Cough) hopefully he is a little tougher the rest of the year health wise. Unfortunately he likes licking the other dog and the cat's ears so I'm seeing more vet bills in the way of the other 2 pets having ear yeast infections. Fly it like you stole it!

Yeah right... Sure it will... Sheesh!!! People don't quit skydiving... They just take vacations.. Yeah they do, look at hooknswoop and tequilagirl I don't expect to ever see either of them at a dropzone again. Fly it like you stole it!

cause there is a lot less material on the thong I wear vs. my bikini. On the other hand I really don't care if someone seems me in my thong. Fly it like you stole it!

My theory on how guys can get skydiving girlfriends
skycat replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
hook didn't have a camera when we started dating, but he did have the smallest canopy on the DZ which made up for it. Fly it like you stole it! -

We like the REI tents we have their half dome from a few years ago for backpacking and camping, but we just bought the 4-season mountain GEO because you can't fit 2 dogs in the half dome and with the prey drive of our new one putting one out in the vestiblue is not a good idea. Oh he is so cute and that is quite the mix, have fun with him while he is there. Fly it like you stole it!

See the other thread about it and discuss this issue there. Because if it was so cut and dry my reserve would be packed right now. Fly it like you stole it!

Since I got the new dog and have been buying tons of toys I ordered one of each. So after giving each of them one, Sherpa proceeds to make his Daddy proud by stealing Fox's. Ofcourse she just shrugs it off and takes the one he had. Currently though he has both toys in his dog bed. How the heck did I end up with a dog that is exactly like hooknswoop. Does that mean if you have a crossfire 1 made in Spain when you get a reline you will be able to get the original line trim? Fly it like you stole it!

Separate issues, forgot to add the part that I'm never going to get enough jumps on the main at this rate to need a reline. Fly it like you stole it!

My canopy was made after the re-call and has the original line trim (wasn't part of the re-call), I'm dredding getting it re-lined because I don't want the "new" line trim due to all the changes it makes in how the canopy flies. Of course this may be a non-issue since my Mirage and PD113 is currently grounded due to them being incompatible (see the mirage TSO issue). So now my plans of jumping again this summer are out the window unless I buy a new reserve or new container. Fly it like you stole it!

Skydive New Mexico is at about the same field elevation as Mile High, so that shouldn't be an issue. Where she might run into hypoxia problems is the fact that she isn't used to going all the way to 18,000. Fly it like you stole it!

- - Ok , I started someting that is very touchy for the gun lovers and anti gun lovers. But I was kinda hoping that I would see a pic or two of a cick in a bikini holding something,, enything buy now. So Come on chicks , get to it,, Get that camera out and start shooting. Think of it as shooting yourself and feeding us blokes. - - Here you go me and the dredded pet punisher. Could have taken pics with the GLock, but it was easier to just use the pet punisher. I'm a dog owner and I agree that people who let their dogs shit everywhere and don't pick up after them are jack asses. Part of owning a dog and being a responsible owner is to have your dog under control and pick up after them. On the other hand if you come into my house and my dog barks at you, well get over it, its her job to alarm when someone comes over. If you don't like it feel free to not come over. Damn if I would have known you were looking for a super light pack I would have hooked you up at the GoLite warehouse sale. Derek got a really sweet one for around 50% off. Fly it like you stole it!

Who should reline a canopy? Rigger? Master Rigger? Factory?
skycat replied to kitof1976's topic in Gear and Rigging
This is an issue we are dealing with at work with 911 and VoIP telephone industry. The legal department will come out with the "legal interpretation" then hand it off to the business. Then ethical standards have to be put to it, just because something is legal doesn't mean it's ethical. FARs seems the same way, I mean look at the Mirage / PD113 issue. Just because ethically it is a safe configuration doesn't mean it's a legal configuration. Such as just because it’s legal for a tandem master to do an alteration doesn’t mean it’s ethical. My dog wears booties in the winter when their is snow on the ground for her arthritis in her paws. She also has a jacket for when it's below 0. Fly it like you stole it!
