That would require my dog to not snarf said bone down in 30 seconds Fly it like you stole it!

Maybe I like the girly bits being rubbed when I'm going commando. Fly it like you stole it!

No that was spoken like someone who has traveled in the mountains and knows that people drive too fast up and down the passes quite often causing accidents when they swerve in to the other lane because they didn't realize there was a slow moving vehicle ahead. Fly it like you stole it!

Hell yeah...I'll even bring the eggnog cocktails. Fly it like you stole it!

Since I know where you are heading, I can't help you on the trailer issue but I can help you on the weather. You won't have to worry about roads until UT and even then you don't have to stress until Vail pass and Eisenhower tunnel. Number one thing to do is obey the signs when they tell you to chain up, cause they aren't joking the roads are going to be bad over the passes. On the other hand both have a fleet of plows to keep the roads clear so as long as you aren't in a blizzard they should be clean. Go slow and ignore the stupid people passing you doing 80 in a snowstorm, you are bound to see them in the ditch soon enough. Fly it like you stole it!

proper riser length for short (5'1" girl)
skycat replied to wonderwoman07's topic in Gear and Rigging
They shouldn't cause any problems with using your front risers. Where you can have problems is when you lengthen your lines so the tail doesn't get pulled down which lowers the flare point, and in my case lowered it so far my arms weren't long enough to finish my flare. This wasn't a problem for me on PD canopies just icarus ones which tend to have a lower flare point. So if you are thinking of getting a PD or have a PD then the 18s should be fine. Do you need me to make you a sign and have my dog carry it around? Something that says "Will do tricks for tunnel time" hobo Fly it like you stole it!

proper riser length for short (5'1" girl)
skycat replied to wonderwoman07's topic in Gear and Rigging
It depends on the flare point of your canopy. I found for my crossfire 20s worked better because it has a low flare point which meant hip level with 18s but with 20s it was waist level. Also my steering lines were as short as they could be while allowing me to use my front risers with no tail deflection until they were pulled down several inches. I'm also 5'1 with short arms and anything longer than 20s and I can't reach the slider. Fly it like you stole it! -
I actually got Sherpa to hold still, of course we were in the middle of an obedience session so he is waiting not so patiently for the next command. Fox on the other hand could careless if there is another command as long as there is a treat involved. Fly it like you stole it!

Have you ever cut away for an unstowed toggle?

Same here except it was a Samurai 120. Fly it like you stole it! -
I only hate one person and he has desered it in spades. Other than that there are people who annoy me and people I really don't like, but I don't hate them, because people change and how I would know they changed if I hated them and refuse to see the new them. Fly it like you stole it!

You may want to start on the low end of the price scale since you are first starting out, then as you get a customer base, learn more and add more services raise your prices to the mid level. Once you get your master ticket rating and can do almost any repair needed move on to the high end. Fly it like you stole it!

*raises hand* I probably would have helped if she had phrased like that rather than demanding people help her. Now I'm just disgusted, and even if she came back saying she didn't mean it that way ect ect I still wouldn't help her out. I've sent money for many causes from injured skydivers, the local humane society to MS and breast cancer research, but not once have any of them demanded I give money, heck the only one that even asks for donations is the humane society but since it's for the animals and they are no kill shelter (yes I know some goes towards overhead) I don't mind . Oh and the only thing that bothered me about the media attention is the fact that I have had every co-worker and family member call me freaking out saying how bad skydiving gear is. *sigh* How do you explain to someone that isn't in the sport that you know you can do everything right and still die. LOL...evil evil panda poor Natas didn't stand a chance. Fly it like you stole it!

After Sherpa I need a low key dog to keep balance in the force. He makes up for two low energy/low drive dogs. Fly it like you stole it!

Don't forget the high octane margaritas across the street at Rio Grande. All I can say to that is.....31 more days until I pitch a tent in front of the tunnel and never leave. Fly it like you stole it!

Foxy my 12 yr old princess (GSD/Blue Heeler) and Sherpa my 15 month old trouble maker (Belgian Malinois). I can take pictures of Fox all day, but with Sherpa as soon as I get the camera out he runs up and tries to eat it. Oh and can I adopt one of those blond puppies, I'm sure Derek wouldn't mind having some more little paws pitter pattering around the house. Fly it like you stole it!

Grande no water chai works on Derek (hooknswoop), I'm sure it would be enough to get him to hook you up with some nitrox. (higher O2 content than normal air) Fly it like you stole it!

YIPPEE....tunnel, starbucks, and beer....I'm going to be in heaven. Fly it like you stole it!

Only reason I asked was cause I knew a guy named Chris with a GSD named Natas from there so I was just wondering if the world got a little smaller. I got Sherpa almost 7 months ago and it has been a trip, I've never laughed so hard, been so proud, or wanted to strangle a dog more. From what I hear that means he has the correct temperment for a "Malinut". Oh and not only can he carry his own weight he likes to help around the house. Fly it like you stole it!

Did you used to live in Austin by any chance? Fly it like you stole it!

My grandparents full sized GSD (100ish lbs) that was a working farm dog could easily take on 3 of them at a time if then happened to venture into the farm yard to get the chickens. As soon as you hear the fight though you run out with the gun because the last thing you want is a good farm dog injured especially one that could herd as good as Klink could. I have a 65 lb Belgian Shepherd and I'd put my money on him in a heartbeat if he got into it with one maybe two coyotes. I know he would definately scare them away since most coyotes are after food and not a fight. Like someone else said though, wolves are a different story. Fly it like you stole it!

Don't bring your cell phone in to the bathroom with you. My VP got totally busted on this one, one of my co-workers was in the restroom, when a phone rang he heard the VP answer it and say "I'm kind of busy right now, I'll call you back in 15 minutes". It took less time than that for the story to be around the department. Fly it like you stole it!

I totally forgot about the convience factor. You are very right, you spend all day to get in 3-5 climbs outside where as you can whip 10 out in an hour or two in the gym. And it's the exact same thing I can do a ton of flying in the tunnel in an hour while at the DZ I may get 7 jumps in a day. That was my biggest issues with skydiving once I moved to CO. There is so much to do here that I hate spending an entire day at the DZ to get a few jumps in when I can hit the mountains do 6 or 7 ski runs before noon and then hit one of the local outdoor walls on the way home and get two or three climbs in and then still be home before the sun goes down to get cleaned up and ready to go out. I can't wait for the tunnel to open up and start getting some real time in the air to work on my flying skills. Then on weekends I can hit the DZ in the morning to knock out some H&Ps to get my canopies skills back to where they were before I broke my wrist (snowboarding accident). This way next summer I'll be ready to become an event jumper and join Mary on some of her trips to different boogies. Fly it like you stole it!
