  3. My office is Behr terrace green ofcourse I have a garden themed room, but the green has a lot of energy and I've yet feel tired in it and unable to work from hom. Fly it like you stole it!
  4. Yes but she is in a cool vacation destination state, I bet she will have no problem convincing people to come visit her. Fly it like you stole it!

  7. LOL...the best one I heard of was a friend of mine who was looking for a new job and wasn't having any luck internally. So she posted on Monster and got a call back in a week or so from someone in the same company of a different division wondering if she was able to be rehired. She told him she still worked there and didn't see the position on the intranet site. He said he couldn't post it internally, but he would see what he could do about getting her an interview. Needless to say she got the job and ended up staying at the same company. I'm still trying to figure out why companies do that, you can post these jobs internally but those over there you can't. 8. So far all the people I know in the tech industry who didn't get a job through someone they knew got it threw monster.com, so make sure you post your stuff up there. The job market is definately softening up here in Denver because I know a lot of people including myself who decided it was time to make a change and it was really easy to find something else. 9. I wouldn't worry to much if I were you, as you learn more the easier it will be to fly at different speeds, but definately don't hyper arch. In the baggy suits, Belly fly at about 63% but I can go from 60-65% easy, Transitions and back flying is at 65-66%. Sit fly is at 74-75%, 70% seems to be my min of course as I get better I'll be able to go slower easier. RW suit 72% without lead and well you know I really don't know what I fly with lead because I've never needed to, but I know at 72% I can't stay off the net very well ask Mary. Look me up sometime I'm there a lot of evenings, I'm Derek's better half. Fly it like you stole it!
  10. Don't make us do some PDA's in front of you. Fly it like you stole it!
  11. Any instructor can sign off requirement as long as they are at a high enough level for the requirement. On the website it says what level instructor can sign off what. Most people at SVCO's stats are up to date and if they aren't all it takes is a little reminding and the instructor will get it done. Fly it like you stole it!
  12. Only by birth. They're more like Canadians by attitude! Actually Derek is CA by birth and I'm ND by birth, Texas was where two ships happened to pass in the night and have hours and hours of nookie. Alana, just letting you know that you now have to get a dog, if you live in CO you must have a dog, those are the rules. Fly it like you stole it!
  13. Don't worry hun, you will get those higher speeds, they actually make back flying easier once you have the basic movements figured out. Get on www.tunnelflight.com and look over the requirements for each skill it will help you own your time in the tunnel, all the coaches are great, but sometimes they skip over things in order to get you to the next level which is what most people want, but what I've learned is that the few minutes you spend getting that move or transition down will make your ability to learn the next skill that much easier. 14. Girl you are small, you back fly at the same speed I do. I knew I shouldn't have listened to Derek on the speed the 1st time you flew, I knew it was too fast because you are my sized, and I'm a small girl. Let me know anytime you want to do some two ways, belly, back, or sit. Fly it like you stole it!
  15. If Mar got any time for me you can have it, I get plenty of time as it is since I'm engaged to one of the instructors. Fly it like you stole it!
  16. Grrrrr...It's the same weekend as Derek's Vail adventure race. Fly it like you stole it!
  17. I'm just guessing but the odds are good we will be at John Holly's next door....Mmmmmm...sushi Fly it like you stole it!
  18. Heck this year is the 1st year I saw a raise above 2% since the tech bust. From what I can tell 1.5-2% is becoming the norm. What is sad is health care increases more than wages every year so technically there are people in a lot of companies that actually get a pay cut every year. I think that is why I'm seeing a trend in people moving companies every 2 years. BTW...after 7 years with shit for raises and being told to suck it up that is the way it is...I quit and gave myself a nice fat raise by getting a new job with cheaper health care and the same in match in 401K. I think I loose a little in bonuses, but in the end I'm still way ahead. Fly it like you stole it!
  19. Sherpa just told me he is in for the free meal. I'll head to the tunnel after work it just down the road from my office, I'll get there around 5:30 and bug pookiebear until you get there. Maybe he will let me drive. Fly it like you stole it!

    SAR/SAR Dogs

This is the book that was recommended to me by a schutzhund trainer, the first part of the book is on tracking. Schutzhund: Theory and Training Methods Also the reason I started working on this with Sherpa was just to keep him busy, Michelle is right Malinois are nuts and he is the king of them....actually he is fairly calm for a working lines Mal. Michelle, Sherpa has been the most incredible dog I have ever owned, he is so much fun, training him has been so rewarding, and now that he is getting older he is becoming the coolest dog ever. Heck last weekend at Derek's adventure race by the end of the day everyone knew him. He was that happy dog that bounced in the air next to me rather than walk like a normal dog, on the sweet side he was also known as that really cool dog that didn't mind kids hanging on him all day. Don't get me wrong it has taken A LOT of work and training to get him to where he is today and honestly I wouldn't recommend a Mal to anyone, because he needs a ton of exercise, if he doesn't get 30 minutes of training a day or doing some kind of work (I've gotten pretty creative with jobs) that works his brain he is a basket case that starts to invent new things to do. I've yet to like his ideas, for some reason they usually involve stealing everything he can get his mouth on and taking it into the backyard. Fly it like you stole it!

    SAR/SAR Dogs

I think the hardest thing with finding a SARs dog is they can test great for everything as a puppy but as they get older just not have what it takes. That would be our boy, tested great for SARs and Schutzhund, but doesn't have what it takes to go all the way, which is why he ended up in a rescue. On the other hand we have started working on tracking and he is doing really well, but I know he wouldn't do well in a competition or out in the field. Of course while his ball drive sucks his plastic bottle drive is really good so we have had to improvise a bit (anyone who has trained high drive dogs knows what I'm talking about). 22. Hey I thought you were looking for a sugar mama so you could be a tunnel instructor? Fly it like you stole it!
  23. Ok, whoever came up with the tux balloon flight suit needs a metal. That guy from the brady bunch looked way too funny in it. It definately looked like a good time though although some of the exits out of the wind....well all I can say is good thing the walls are padded. Fly it like you stole it!
  24. Let's see, Sherpa tends to have the most odd behaviors mostly because he is high drive and slightly insane. (I think both of those are the breed standard for Belgians) 1) When we go to the lake he has to wear a life vest because he won't stop swimming, if he sees a buoy in the middle of the lake he will swim out to it and try to bring it back, when he can't move it he will give you this really hurt look and swim back to shore then start barking trying to get you to come out and help him. 2) If you are drinking red wine and let him have a sniff his tail will go between his legs and he will act like you just beat the crap out of him. Beer or white wine he will just try to drink. 3) The dog gate to him is just an in house agility course that his humans put up to keep him from being bored it's not like the humans don't want him in the basement. 25. Yeah, so is this knowing them 30 days or dating them for 30 days. You know like no one night stands, but if you have been teasing me in the packing area going shirtless rubbing on me for the last 6 months, well game on when a drunken night of lust is offered up. Fly it like you stole it!
