Thanks for the help, Sunshine! What would I do without such valuable advice??
-
OK I'm from Canada and I left to get away from the cold, so NO COLD PLACES. If it weren't for the weather I'd go back in a flash. The only place I could think of moving outside the US is Israel, and it's not looking too great right now. I'm sort of torn between Florida, Arizona and SoCal. Arguments for or against any of these, anyone?

where would it be and why?

I knew I had whuffo friends once! This pic proves it. And the other is just a favorite for your brains' amusement...

Funny, I always find CNN kind of conservative and shallow. Hm. Potayto, potahto.

You mean the UN reported this to CTV in a press release? Otherwise, that's not a source, that's a channel. Maybe he just saw it on SCTV...

Feline love and wishes from Boy and Zappa. And me too. >>

Wow! That picture is replete with nonsuckingosity. Lucky you! Lucky Kevin!!!

Yay! Kevin Orkin...I'd recognize that bird wannabe anywhere...lucky you, getting to jump with him

What do you mean not hot?? Yummy Canadian!

Thank you, and thank you Alana. In 5200 more jumps I'll let someone take a camera along again! (Unlessof course it's a nekked helicopter jump.)

Last weekend was the first time I've gotten stills taken on a jump. BEER!

here's a pic and a healthy bump to boot. Boy is the fatso on the floor and Zappa is his little sister (in size only, they are both five.)

I'm not sure what a victim problem is but I'll check all my pockets. By saying that certain people with certain backgrounds "skew" the results of a poll, you are saying their opinions may be disregarded, they should not be taken as a VALID contribution to the poll. Yes, schooling affects people. Yes, locale does too. So does upbringing, ethnic background, exposure to government, exposure to media, etc. Now you say: So you're handpicking the jury that you feel will back up your point. That's what I was getting at...I didn't really think it was an emotional outburst, sorry if you saw it that way. Tone is often misconstrued over the internet.

Way to cover your ass no matter the outcome. Out of curiosity, why do people who are new to skydiving have less valid opinions? Why does getting a college education invalidate your views? Why does being from California or Florida make your credibility questionable? Your biases are disturbing at the very least.

I went to see PFunk in New Orleans in my second year of college, we were too broke for the tickets so we were just going to stand outside and listen. The band's bus was right there and george and the boys were inside, with the door open. I asked them if they'd get us in if I smoked them out and offered my puny lil joint. I was so naive. They looked, laughed, got us high, and got us in. WOOHOO! I luuuuurve them.

Excellent point. I hadn't looked at it that way.

I have to work the rebound angle. Just got dumped for the first time (BEER ALL AROUND) a few nights ago after an 11 month stint and, good lord, OUCH! It is so hurty I never knew. Truly, this doth suck. About not drinking, Airann, um, you're kidding, right? How else can I indulge in shameless self pity???

Argh. I wish I could, I even have one here at work, but no scanner and no digital camera. I'll work on it next week.

Oh, I know of the issues involved. A lot of websites offer a great series of questions to ask potential adopters and how to check homes. I'd need to check out their new home before placing them. Thanks for the advice!

Yes indeed. Thanks for the thought though!
