  1. Just got to agree with your comments. I have been on 5 canopy schools from Team Extreme,Safe Flight school(Empuriabrava,Spain)and Scott Millers basic and advanced. Just wanted to add learning to fly your canopy slow gives you more time to assess situations and allows you to see the full range of your canopies performance. Brian in spain has a very funny saying "toggles are just so last year!".learning about different inputs to ensure your canopy is flying more efficiently i found to be just awesome. 9. If you are going on longhaul flight i would take rig as hand luggage,a cool looking rucksack! If you are over on luggage allowance on longhaul could cost £40 (english) per kilo over. On ESA boogies a lot carry on rigs, have your aad wiring card with you cos looks a little strange under xray. Travelling short haul in europe companies like ryanair charge about £17 extra for a bag containing sports equipment up to 32 kilos which is a pretty good deal and i think easyjet even better but i havent travelled with them for a few years. If you do put rig in the hold then lots of nice clothes wrapped around it would help especially over reserve cos it will get chucked about a bit. One last little thing, which is pretty important,is if you have been skydiving within 14 hours of flight make sure aad has been switched off.I know a lot of people like to get that last jump in before getting the taxi to the airport! Enjoy your travels Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  10. Hi try canon G5,compact camera with most extras you would get on slr digital. Remote is infra red but you can attach this via velcro(so my mate has done) For what the camera does good value at gb£120 to £150 second hand and you can also fit wide angle converter. Camera is very light also very fast action for a compact has tv and av modes and also video mode.Standard canon battery etc Anyways i am gonna get one cos if something gets broken its cheaper than damaging my d20. Hope info useful Stephan Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!

  13. Brokky's pics said it all. Post him for details of Exotic Sky Adventure boogies. There may well be one in November this year cos Sri Lanka got cancelled in February. Next years will be feb/mar time. So far i have been on 3 ESA boogies,Ecuador,Thailand and Uruguay. All very well organised and cater for all levels of skydiving from AFF upwards so dont worry about your jump numbers just lots of canopies cos we normally get a Hecules C130! to jump from. Stephan

  20. Different in UK ,life offices rate policies dependent on how many jumps you do a year at the time policy is effected. When i took my policy out was doing under 75 jumps a year so no rating, policy still ok even though i now do 300 plus jumps a year. Have not seen one with death exclusion due to skydiving. My job is in life assurance sales so have arranged a few policies for uk skydivers. Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
