  1. I started on RAPS and then went AFF route basically cos i turned up 19 times and only managed 2 RAPS jumps cos of lovely english weather, too cloudy or too windy etc. If money is tight consider doing AFF in Europe as it may well be cheaper than in the UK cos everything is expensive here!!! Whatever you decide have fun. Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  2. My story not as good as yours but i have recd nothing but excellent service from them, same canopy i got but a little smaller!!. As they say on ebay HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  3. Thousands of jumps are probably made without an AAD but if YOU are asked to pack a reserve with an AAD then surely as A paying customer THE LOOP SHOULD GO THROUGH THE CUTTER. Hell what do i know i just pay riggers to reserve pack and to hell with the consequences. With all this EGO bullshit its a bit pot and kettle. I for one vote for RIGGER for bringing this to jumpers attention cos without us jumping there would be no rigging work. Swooping, huh? 4. PMI is slightly different in UK yes it does cover the lender if the loan defaults and the lender makes a loss BUT it is for the lender only. The insurer will then come after you for the loss they have paid out on. A very good deal for the lender!! and the borrower just pays to be sued!! Swooping, huh? 8. AFF is on her list of to do's,and on the same list for my younger daughter who is just 15 so looks like could be expensive skydiving for me next year! They have both done tandems and both been in the wind tunnel and like the adrenaline kick. Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  9. Yes i paid . Offer was £100 per A £75 per B and £25 per C. Leave you to do the math but i willinglingly paid up,guess made her even happier. Bribery and its my own daughter. 12. All the best in your move away from ZHills. It was six years ago i was there picking up my first rig from Derro and you took an awesome picture of me under canopy over the DZ. That pic has been on my wall ever since. Not only the way it was taken was awesome but the selling technique, how could i not buy it after you had already printed it and seeing as it was only of me nobody else would have bought it!. Enjoy life cos theres no replay. Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!

  15. Just got back from a wedding and the worst day of travelling in my life,Southampton to Leicester,120 miles and i did it in just under 9 hours!,one of the guests beat me though she left at 12noon and arrived at one in the morning a staggering 13 hours but she did live 10 miles further away!!. The trouble with the UK any weather outside the norm there is a problem, too hot,too cold, too dry,too wet too much snow, well pretty much too much anything! And its still raining! Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  16. A liitle further out but lots of riggers try Netheravon. Great dz too. Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  17. MJO has sent me some great pm's after discussion on certain topics. He has a wealth of knowledge and understanding, you would IMHO be churlish to turn away his knowledge cos with 88 freefly jumps in your short jump history(according to your profile)you obviously know more than we do. These guys with many years in the sport themselves never stop learning neither do they charge us when imparting that knowledge which may well help somebody stay alive in our sport. Best of luck in your world Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!

  20. What the fuck has his colour got to do with it? He is just a brilliant young racing driver, the tiger woods of F1. Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  21. Harry Potter, that was good. Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!
  22. A few years ago i was at Z Hills, launched a 4 way out of an otter. One of the 4 way lost grips and went into a side spin the camera guy swooped to her as fast as he possibly could after about 30 seconds she stopped spinning and only then did he catch up with her. If you curl up in a tight ball this should stop a flat spin or side spin, bit like being in the centre of a kiddies roundabout. Then just big and arch. Anyways thats my pennies worth. Have fun stay safe Steve Swooping, huh? I love that stuff ... all the flashing lights and wailing sirens ... it's very exciting!

  24. Hi, unfortunately have to agree with pjc(paul). For example you can have a jm on a load of tandems, the jm cant gear check them if he is not tandem rated. The listed jm could be on a back to back ,lands ,jumps on next plane and he is only signing to say skydivers have been checked by someone else not that he has checked them. We should be more responsible for ourselves,it is us that jump from planes not the jm or person who has signed for us that chucks us out so we should NOT RELY on someones gear check to reassure someone whether it be ourselves or the `authorities that we are doing something safe, cos it certainly is not. CHECK YOUR OWN GEAR COS ULTIMATELY IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY,as many UK jumpers know when we SELF CHECK when jumping abroad. Swooping, huh?
