You don't seem to be paying attention. The MEDIA may not be all over it, but that's just because they have other news they think will sell better. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

All of this... I say don't bother with the lining better to buy a pair of under armor.... I'd get knee pads... And I do get knee pads. Just for moving around in the plane and every once in a while you can hit a door frame on exit.... And that really sucks. Plus on some blocks you can knock knees, and that also sucks. Want to check your rig? Pack it with a gun for safety!
Ron replied to jdfreefly's topic in Speakers Corner
You do know that guns have to be in CHECKED luggage right? You do know that it is next to impossible to get to checked bags in flight...right? You do know that you are supposed to show the weapon to the gate agent and show the weapon is clear... right? I am betting you knew none of this. Further, I bet you didn't even read the article... For if you had: "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
And I am happy you are not a judge since you don't seem to take a statement from the actual party as valid. Your understanding of facts seems to be lacking. But I expect this from you..... you are unable to be intellectually honest when you know it will not support your emotional positions. Oh if you only meant that..... You do know the law is mandatory to own one in the HOME... Not at WORK or not to CARRY right? Was this a crime at a *house*, or a *business*? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And you know that it actually does, right? The Gun Control Act of 1968: So, Cho was in fact not allowed to own a firearm. This was a failure of the REPORTING system, and does not mean he was legally allowed to own it. Cho was found to have a mental issue... But he was not found to be a threat.... You could claim that he should not have been allowed to own a gun based on his out patient commitment (and I would agree), but according to your OWN source: So it was not a failure of the CGA of 1968... It was a failure of the reporting agencies due to HIPAA and VaHRP. In the FINDINGS of your cite: The Virginia Health Records Privacy and Va. Code 37.2-814 was amended after this to close the gap in the reporting process.... Again, it was illegal for Cho to buy any weapon. Just as it is illegal for a felon to buy a weapon. So again, I ask.... What would YOU consider to be a proper process? And would YOU be willing to put that same process in place for aviation, model rocket motors...ect? And I am STILL waiting on you to answer what you meant by, "people like you make it easy"..... I really wish you would be honest and say what you are trying to imply. Ah, so Lucky is calling people a 4 engine airplane.... I still don't get it. On a side note, my first aerobatics instructor was a Connie Captain for TWA. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Sorry... I don't share your desire for the suffering of another person based only on what he says. Do I like Rush? No, I think he is a pompass ass. My Dad used to listen to him years ago (still does) and I could not stand listening to him. But just because I disagree with someone... that does not mean I wish them to die. I didn't like Ed Kennedy, but it is a shame he died. I don't like Pelosi, but I don't wish her to be hurt either. I hear what you are saying.... But I don't buy into your conclusion. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Ah, but crime WAS prevented. You think each criminal only commits one crime ever? And if a criminal does not commit a crime based on some reason... that does not mean they will never commit a crime EVER. Your argument is lamer than normal. Like it or not your position has been proven to be wrong. Criminals have stated that they have avoided areas where they thought people would be armed.... therefore, crimes were prevented. Claiming anything else is just you and stupid word play. Besides, most people would rather someone nick their belongings than murder them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

By committing other NON VIOLENT crimes. They ADMITTED to avoiding places where citizens would be armed. So that prevented crimes in those cases. You can try to continue the word games.... But you have been provided the links to studies done where the actual people who would have done the act admitted why they didn't. No one said that guns would prevent all crimes... We said that criminals avoid people and places they think might be armed.... And we have provided data to back that position. Yes. Yes... Now, how do you propose identifying the "loonies"? And are you willing to have those SAME restrictions applied to other things like pilots licenses? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Again, man up and say what you mean. With a guy as educated as you... You should be able to find the words to back your statement. So, please expand on what you meant by "People like you". No, I asked you to expand your accusation and you replied to me with "THINK!" "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

The UN has no business to try and make the US ignore the US Constitution. I think each Country has the right to control their own internal business without UN interference. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Got it, you prefer to act like a child than have real discussions. Because silly little name calling BS is childish. Wow... I didn't know his middle name was Hudson.... You seem to know more about him than most people you consider to be his listeners. Nope, I am just challenging you to act like an adult and engage in discussions above a third grade level. Since you finally did identify the person... I'll gladly answer your question. Yep, in fact I find him so annoying I can't stand to hear him. But if you had paid attention to my post you replied to you would have known that.... Heck you even bolded the important part. No, because I don't listen to him since I think using stupid names is a childish action. I think it is childish when he does it, and I think it is childish when you do it... I think it is childish when anyone does it. For some (you, Amazon, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, Olbermann) it seems to be all they do. So yeah, I find Rush childish. Yet here you are making fun of someone with a drug problem.... Is that better? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

THIS is a BIG deal... Mayo Clinic drops Medicare...

You seem to be reading the wrong Dem talking points. Conservatives know that the Govt has a history of running programs at either sub standard levels, or at extravagant cost. And here is a good example of your Govt HC plan in action. http://finance.yahoo.com/insurance/article/108540/married-couples-pay-more-than-unmarried-under-health-bill So under both bills, married people making the same as an unmarried couple will pay more. And in BOTH cases the people are below what most consider "middle class". "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

All you have to do is use the guys real name, are you able to have a real discussion? Or do you just prefer the childish BS? So are you admitting you are unable to cut the BS since it has been several days since I first asked? Still waiting for you to expand on expand on "thanks to people like you, the so-called "restrictive" guns laws are so absurdly easy to circumvent that they might as well not exist. Man up and say your mind. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Really? "The Task Force found insufficient evidence to determine the effectiveness of any of the firearms laws or combinations of laws reviewed on violent outcomes." Sorry, it in fact said they could find no correlation. I didn't expect you to use logic and to be honest when it came to a gun discussion however. People who don't pay for things often don't complain. And I wonder how many of those people have had any other HC? Have YOU had Govt HC? Have YOU had private HC? That makes zero sense. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
