Years ago a group of 20 spent the weekend spelling out and making pictures of the kingdom of Saudi's Kings name, and the flag. Both in English and arabic. I got a free jumpsuit, and 20 bucks a jump. That was a good weekend. (fun hard dives also) "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. On the issues I knew about it didn't bother me... Lets take the candian lumber issue...Free trade would be great in some ways...However it is unfair to expect American lumber companies to compete in cost with Candian companies that are subsidized by the Government. Also Bush said he would support free trade...Well I bet it was FAIR trade as well... The Lumber situation was not fair, and it was after the econonomy took a nose dive. Putting tariffs on inports is a very time honored and trusted way to allow the US economy to try and compete against other countries with lower (or in this case subsidized) labor costs. And still bush didn't change his STANCE like Kerry does at the drop of the hat. The Lumber issue is ONE tiny part of the overall package. Kerry changes his side more than most change underware...And not just on the small parts....The whole damn story. Im a war hero/Winter solider Thats a big difference. Kerry tried to cancel weapon systems that are being used right now as we type. He himself called the cuts "ill-advised" and "stupid" Blaming his inexpereence as a canidate (This was 84 so he had only been in politics like 12 years) and a campain that drove him to the left...Again with that as the wind blows thing. Kerry proposed cuts in funding the CIA in the 1990's Now he wants a better intelegence operation..Ok so I want BETTER intel, so I'll cut the budget??? Kerry supported Bushes No Child Left Behind...Now he is a critic of it...I support it...But its bad????? He helped write the Patriot act...Now he hates it....Look what I wrote...I hate it????? Kerry opposed the death penalty for terroists, but now he Supports it???? Kerry opposed the Bush medicare drug bill...But didn't care enough to be there when it was voted on. Kerry shifts his WHOLE position...Bush has had to make small shifts to get things done...In some cases having to fight Clinton placed judges. You never said you didn't like him..And you have defended him several times. I don't tend to defend folks I don't like...Maybe you do. Kerry seems to be a good man...But his two timing stances on almost EVERY issue bothers me. And they are BIG leaps. 3. #1 this is a Kerry thread...But I'll play. Are you sure the tax cuts did it...Maybe there were other issues. I don't know like a terroist attack that hit an already damaged economy...And the cost of a War, and the cost to defend the country? Don't know about this so Im not going to say till I do. Again you think a war on terror, the impact it had on the economy and the spending needed to protect the US was forseen? You think Clinton could have done better given the same situation? I don't. No Child left behind. http://www.ncat.org/liheap/revisions/budget.htm http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/medicare_01-29-03.html Looks like he tried one way already...But got told no by a judge. Iteresting enough the judge was U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman who was apoointed by CLINTON and has done several shaddy things when it came to Clinton during his term. http://www.alamo-girl.com/03152.htm And http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a36b9333c7376.htm So THREE proposals that failed in two weeks...Seems like he keeps TRYING. There are more people in college today than before Bush. On Your buddy Clinton Source http://www.postsecondary.org/archives/previous/99900GOREBUSH.pdf Notice how I include these? I did read his statement after he signed it... http://www.commoncause.org/mccainfeingold/bushstatement.htm Some things were changed..and while the bill was not perfect he thought it was a good bill. And that courts would make the final choice on it. The Anadians were "dumping" the lumber int he US...And US lumber was being hurt by it...Would you rather the US lumber companies go under? So I guess you would rather have Amercans out of work while the Canadian goverment subsidizes the lumber they produce? Maybe in good Dem' fasion we could just put the american on welfare when they lose their jobs? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. You sure you are not a history prof??? With a grasp like that you might want to change over. Rich brought up a very good argument based off of someone bitching about the current war and the PRESIDENT sending folks in. He used historical references of OTHER PRESIDENTS doing the same thing...You brought up the current presidents family. Which made it fair game and fun for me to bring in the Dem's favorite families past. Well Bush is not exactly my hero. He IS the current President (CiC) and I think he was a better choice than Gore. And right now I think he is a better choice than "both sides" Kerry. And as for the Nazis....Don't stoop to trying to get emotions into an argument. What Prescott Bush did 50 years ago has nothing to do with GWB the current Pres. And I only brought up the Kennedy past when you would not let Prescott's past go. 5. Last I heard...Prescott Bush was not running either. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=940606#940606 "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. I noticed the first part said set up by I didn't see Bush listed there. But you DID list him as a recipient of this info. Even you are saying that he didn't set up the office. Also got a link? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  7. You want to go there? How about the Dems vavorite son...JFK. Insider trading: How about this: And this: Ya know what they say about family history....You pay good money to find it out...And even more to hide it. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  8. How about the part where he said our heros were killing women and children for no reason. While it may not be actually spitting on them...He did slander them all. And his testimony at "winter Solider" was good enough for the vietcong to use it to tourture other heros. Oh but not HIM of course only the other guys killed the wrong folks. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. I never said that. I said that you seem to think its OK for Kerry to get bad intel and make a bad choice. But its not OK for Bush to do the same thing...When Bush does it he lied. And the rest of it? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  10. No wonder you like this guy...You talk just like him. You said "show me where he plays the war hero"...and I did. Then you said "Well only after he was pushed into it.".....Which may be true...Or it could also be he set the whole thing up to make him look humble AND a war hero. But him being humnble was NOT the issue... You said "Show me him playing the war hero"...and I did... Instead of saying "Yep, I guess he did"...You decided to negate it by trying to spin it that they made him.... Here is a simple fact. No one has to pull out anything from a briefcase. If he was really humble..He could have just said no. Is it so hard to just stick to ONE topic without trying to spin it? You said "show me him playing the war hero"...And I did. You want to talk humble we can do that on the next set of posts. Did you find it at all funny that it talked about him flying a plane in that post? That whole artical was a campain ad. I don't have an issue with that....It's legal. And it was a good artical if you like him. It was not an objectional artical, it was very Pro Kerry. So maybe he is modest...Or maybe he is just really good at projectiing an image. His whole life has been about image....He has a good image. But he can't stay on one side of a topic. And thats bad. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  11. You asked for an example of him playing the war hero...And I produced a piece that was very PRO Kerry, where he did a very dramatic reading from Rambo 14. In this piece he plays the reluctant war hero.....A hero that at one time spit on other heros. So for you to claim that he was pushed into it is just silly....I would never say Bush was pushed into that Carrier landing....Im sure he wanted to do it...Hell, I would. Is it so hard to admit that he is playing the war hero card? Like I said I don't have an issue with that...He is a war hero...I only have issue with him doing it after he spit on all the other heros. There are two sides to every subject..and Kerry is on both of them. Hell who would not want to vote for a guy that agrees with you on everything you think is rigt...The problem is he agrees with EVERYONES opinion....Even if it is the oposite of his last sentance. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  12. Oh I see...Its OK for Kerry to get bad intel and make a bad choice..But not for Bush. And still John, this is not a term paper..plagarized or not...It does not make it untrue. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  13. This is not a damn term paper...If it is plagarized does not mean its false.... So give him an "F" for plagarism, and an "A" for content "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  14. You would have to stay in double fronts pretty long..And that can be hard to do with some 1.1 loaded canopies. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  15. Jumped it. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  16. That whole artical was a make Kerry sound good piece....And it did. I do find it funny that back in the day the dems were spitting on guys like him..and he was one of the guys spitting. Now he is a war hero with lines that could have been written for Rambo. And its not even that part that gets me...Its how he is on Both sides of EVERYTHING. Up untill 9/11 he didn't want to put terroists to death....After 9/11 he does...And he claims 9/11 had nothing to do with it. He votes whatever way is popular. THATS my issue with him. He seems to be a good guy..But I can't trust a guy that just votes with the popular polls. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. BillVon...Phillykev...got nothing to say about This? You said you wanted proof he was acting like a war hero...Now you are both strangely quiet about it??? Thats funny. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

  19. You did well..You lived and you listened to the Voice of Reason instead of trying to make the DZ. 1. Bad spots happen...Next time if it looks iffy...Get a second opinion, or just go around. Even a 180 would do it. 2. If you were a solo...Yeah you should have opened higher if you thought the spot was bad..Plus you were last out..so you could open wherever you wanted.....Now if you were not last out...Try to open as normal as much as you can. 3. When in doubt don't flyover anything you don't want to land on....I see no issue with your approach... 4. Turns like that build speed...you have to then eat up distance to get rid of that speed, and that puts you closer to the trees at the far end....Braked turns would be better. Do your next couple of landings and use different brake settings on final (Let it fly about 50-75 feet up for a good landing) but see how half brakes will make you land short...After you get that fiqured out...try using front risers... The thing about front risers is..while it WILL increase your desent rate...It will also increase your speed. That speed then has to be bled off to land. Many times putting you at about the same landing point when you stop. The real problem is it makes you go faster, and faster is bad when you might hit something...Braked turns are better. But you did well considering that this is not "incidents" and that you were able to walk to the computer and post it yourself. 22. He didn't call himself a war hero...But Here he sure is acting like it. Sounds like he is acting the part... That line sounds like it was written for Rambo. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    Got Banned?

Wohoo...Im the only guy that got banned so far. It was just for a day...And it was over some confusion...But Im a bad, bad man...some hot chick wanna spank me? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. He voted against the first war when that was the popular side and wanted more nations involved....Then he later said he supported it. When it went well and was a popular war. He voted FOR this one, which was popular...Then bitched about it when it became unpopular. Seems like this guy votes with the wind...Then plays politics to be on both sides. For and against both wars. A hero when its cool, and a protester when its "in". Says he backs defense, but votes for cutbacks. Crys about people bringing up his defense spending cuts, but was more than happy to stand a testify about how we did bad things in Vietnam. (not him of course). All the time crying about "opening old wounds". So its bad to talk about Vietnam now...But it was OK to bash it while our troops were still there...And his voice was the one the guys that were captured heard while being tortured....Who is causeing open wounds? WRITES part for the patriot act...When it was the popular thing to do...Then bashes his own child when it becomes unpoplular. All the time pretenting to never change sides....This guy IS a master politician. He never really talks about his plans...And you can't nail him down to one side of any issue. He is a master at manipulating the issues...Hell he is on both sides at the same time. For you and Bill How about this: from Here Sounds to me like he is playing the war hero...
