Yes, but there are many less Strong Tandem rigs Racers, and other two pin designs than single pin containers. So I can understand why they didn't bother with a two pin design...I don't see the added problems with a two pin design, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know. damion75 is using FS as Formation Skydiving...You took it as Free Style. For Freestyle I would agree with you. Free Stylists seem to be absorbed by the FF folks. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Tim, can you post the SB? Every time I try to open it I get locked. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

They have ignored the in air fire in DeLand.... It happend in Feb and this SB by them does not mention it at all. No mention of the in air fire in DeLand..And they blame the ground fire to a rigging error...But then they had many more ground fires and now they say that there is a static issue. About the air fire..They have told some people about it, but it was not included in the SB released by them. So, where is the answer to the in air fire in DeLand? I don't think so...There are not THAT many two pin rigs. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You could fool me since you always have "issues" with my posts.... But its not like your opinion of me matters...I just find it funny that you always have something to say about me...And most times its negative "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

HUH?!?!?!? 76 four way teams with 380 people 15 FF teams with 45 people. RW had three classes, FF two. RW had four events (4way, 8way, 10 way, 16 way) FF had one. How again is RW dead? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Really? I can point out many times where you jump on me for my teaching style...This time is no different. And just because I am paraniod...Does not mean you are not out to get me. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

CYPRES 1 with time left on it. CYPRES 2 if it was brand new with all the small problems they have had fixed. I would not buy a Vigil. Right now I would take a Vigil if it was given to me. They have had problems and they are ignoring the problems, and the ones they don't ignore they are giving bad answers to. Have you ever heard me not give a reason? The problem is many times its not the reason that the person wants to hear. So they dispute it. But most times the only reason they have to dispute it is that I don't know them...And they are better than most. Like I said..Have you ever heard me not give a reason? I think you and I talked long about spotting remember? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

They are wrong, so we should be allowed to be just as bad? Or it could be that he is taking the high road as one of the most advanced nations in the world should as opposed to the way a bunch of uneducated people in a third world country act. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1020125#1020125 They have issues. I'd wait to buy one. I personally think they will go the way of the ASTRA. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I have said this before... I think that to get the "D" you should have to show proficancy in more than one aspect of skydiving. I would say two or three different styles. They could be things such as: 1. Instructor ratings. 2. Camera jumps. 3. Proven RW skill such as 8 point 4way or 4 point 8way. 4. FF award such as a AD# 5. Performance on a big way such as a 60+ way. 6. CRW such as a 4stack. 7. Passing the Pro swoop tour test. 8. A PRO rating. With the different options almost anyone could find three they can try and do. I personally have done everything but the FF AD# and the Pro swoop tour test. I have no interest in doing FF or the Pro swoop tour. Making people swoop of do FF would be wrong..There are several other ways to be a good skydiver with out FF or swooping...Instructor ratings in my opinion are the top...But not everyone wants to or should be an instructor. I think CRW and a PRO rating are next...But not everyone would agree.. So thats why there is a large list. I think you added a third person just to refute me. since there was no mention of it in his, or my post. You don't like my teaching style and slam it at every opportunity. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Id rather have a guy that made mistakes and admitted to them. Than a guy that admitted to commiting war crimes and then said he never did...So he either lied when he was using "Winter Soldier" to gain political powerthen, or he is lying to get political power now. BTW Kerry also admitted to using drugs. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Military colleagues say Kerry unfit to be Commander-in-Chief
Ron replied to panzwami's topic in Speakers Corner
His records show otherwise. In fact an OER he got said he was a "Fine leader that would be promoted over his peers". (Newsweek, What were they doing.) And commited war crimes by his own admisson. Well he took training money and learned to fly a fighter jet. And as for the "no service" snipe..Does that apply to all National Guard troops? OH yeah and he asked about a program where NG pilots were sent to the war, but he was rejected for not having enough flight time. Kerry is an ADMITTED war criminal. Did I say it was???? He pointed out how we bombed them...I pointed out how they killed Jews like cattle, and were bombing and killing others. Hell the only reason I need to fight you is you fighting me...I don't need a bunch of reasons. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Clearly his instructor.. BUT thats not what he said: . No where in that does he talk about getting two answers.... "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

It could have something to do with a guy with 10 years and 3,000 jumps knows more than a guy with 9 jumps...That guy may give plenty of reasons. But the guy with 9 jumps might not want to listen due to ego. And no amount of good advice will get through the "I know me better than you." And while You might know you better than him..He knows skydiving and the progression paths of students better than you do. The problem is that a person with very little expereince may not know how to filter and make a good choice. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Oh I know that story as well...I have been told it was and that it was not a pinched wire. The rigger that packed it has said it was not a pinched wire.... Either way...I don't trust the Vigil, and the lack of answers to peoples questions about a device that could kill someone, and them knowing it can misfire but saying it is safe I find disturbing. Is someone gonna have to die before they say there is a problem in the air? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Well duh! You think I am going to write a glowing recomendation of a product I don't think is safe? That would be like me telling to to go see "Lenard part 6" a movie I thought was really bad. Nope I think ALL pieces of skydiving equipment can cause problems....Some are more likley to cause problems than others. I don't jump a NOVA or a Crossfire I or a Dash M reserve either....Nor would I recomend anyone jump them. As for this issue, I don't see CYPRES fires at 3 grand, or CYPRES ground fires. But I DO see Vigil fires all over the place. The worst part is that they are not addressing the danderous fires, only the ground fires. 1. They have had 4 ground fires and 5 in air fires. Now the "Beta" unit I can understand. And the Zhills incident I can understand since he was rumored to be around firing altitude anyway...(BTW check my profile to see where I jump). But they have so far not answered anything on the fire at 3 grand in DeLand. And now there are two more fires in Austrailia.... 2. Two DZ's have removed them from the DZ gear. 3. One gear dealer has recalled them all and replaced them with CYPRES 2's at their cost...I have been told that another has stopped selling them also. 4. I have been told one manufactorer does not want them in his rigs. 5. They have admitted a problem, and done a recall...But they didn't address the in air fires, and said they were still safe to jump. UH, so they have misfired, you know they misfire, but you are saying they are safe to jump till they can be replaced? How about "C" I see a possibly dangerous piece of equipment being sold with issues that the company refuses to answer questions about. And I don't want to see someone get killed to have the new cool toy. But yes, I do babble. I am looking for resolutions...I want Vigil to answer what happend in DeLand (That they have refused to answer yet) and the two new fires. As for Majik and Mabuege..They are sponsored...I don't listen to sponsored jumpers opinions on gear...Thats like asking Dale Jr if you should buy a Toyota. PM sent. You mean the possibility that it fires into your main is OK by you? Or even the hassle of it just firing on the ground and having to get it repacked is OK? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Not one person has recognized me from my pic... In fact I know a few folks that think I'm old and bald. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
