When you sue they have to prove WHY they fired the guy. "Just cause" does not fly well. Then he has to be able to defend and back up those claims...This is the VERY reason that those two guys got their jobs back...and a fat load of cash. The guy in Chicago...Well they could prove he was not a good manager...There were several issues. Most of which I can't talk about. But trust me he needed to be fired... There are appeal paths in almost every area. Might be hard...but they are there. BTW a flag officer IS political. And you know it. And removing a Gen for no reason is not a good move. He was an ass and he didn't play well with others...That IS a reason to remove someone. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Iraqi soccer players angered by Bush campaign ads featuring team
Ron replied to outrager's topic in Speakers Corner
They are a hell of a lot more free than they were...And most importantly they are heading towards more freedom...Something they would not have had if we had not removed SH. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
If its needed yes. But it will be over the complaints of people like you that would rather us die than fight back. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I don't agree with that...I think the advances in weapons systems do TONS to make it so you don't have to carpet bomb, or nuke a city. Other wise you are saying that there will come a time when we will have to stand in rows like the English did in the Revolutionary war. Different attitudes and advanced weapons made things like Knights in Armor fade away. I think the same thing happens in modern warfare. I can't see the need to carpet bomb a city in todays conflicts. And I can't see the need coming up...I could be wrong, but blasting Iraq with nukes is not going to speed things up over there. You have to take into consideration what tols you have at the time. Tactics have to change with the advance of weapons. We don't do trench warfare anymore. Building a castle was ended by gunpowder. The guy with the sword beat the guy with the stick. The days of needing to carpet bomb a city or nuke one are gone. Really what about this: ***I equally dislike OBL and US actions, it's really hard to choose a lesser of two great evil. Quote Oh I see you hate us both the same. Friends like you I don't need "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Try reading history...That is look at WWII in the HISTORY books. That was 50+ years ago..Not today. Wars were fought differently at different times in history. Reference the above comment about 50 YEARS AGO vs TODAY. So you also support OBL..Nice to know your stand. Again the big difference was in WWII we were moving towards Japan in an Island by Island set of battles. We asked that they surrender and they did not. We were going to lose MANY of our troops lives and MANY Japanese lives if we had to invade. OBL and your and his buddies flew planes into the WTC to strike terror into civilians without any warning. The US dropped fliers telling people to leave the cities we dropped bombs on. Also IT WAS OVER 50 YEARS AGO when Dresden and the bomb attacks on Japan took place...TODAY the US tries like hell to avoid civilian losses... Unless you are trying to tell me that TODAY the US does not care? Who said bravery was bad?...You are the one saying there is no honor in war. And if you can't understand how killing 5 people can save 10 I don't think you will every have a clue. 50 years ago it was a valid solution. It is not today. But then again your buddy OBL and you don't see that do you? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You seem to support him a lot. He came out against it AFTER he went there and got a few medals, made a few home-made hero movies starring himself and then came home and found that the war was unpopular...Then he was anti-war. But he was quite Pro-war until he came home and found it was unpopular to be pro-war. The same thing he did with the war in Iraq...He was pro-war till he found that the Dems wanted an Anti-war canidate....So in true Kerry fashion...He changed his opinion...Call it a nuance, or "Seeing Complexities" if ya like...I'll call it changing his mind to try and be popular. Ah, but the big difference is we TRY to limit civilian losses and Terrorists try to inflict losses on civilians. So why bitch about the use of Fatman and Little Boy? BUZZZZ ...Wrong. More lives were saved OVERALL by dropping those two weapons than a land invasion of Japan. Don't forget that they didn't surrender till after the SECOND weapon was used....Even after we asked before the first, and after the first. A Land invasion of Japan would have been costly in American lives and in the lives of Japanese...They would have fought to the last person standing if they were asked from the Emperor. To think otherwise is to ignore history. And MUCH more American lives were saved...Kinda the point in War huh? Your OPINIONS only. War can be justified and when justified it is "right". By your standards we would still be English under the Queen, or Germany would have ruled the world. I made no such claim. I did say there was a difference between a Terrorist that targets civilians and a Soldier that trys to avoid civilian losses. Unless you claim that the US is TRYING to kill civilians...Is that your claim Bill? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

It also makes sense that in the FL and TN cases the guys were screwed over...In the IL case the guy was a moron that had to write "L" and "R" in his shoes to put them on correctly. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And thats the major difference between us...I don't have faith ANY government Dem or Rep will be able to fix it...Why? Well the Dems think the Reps don't want to help anyone...Even when some of us say we are willing to help those that really need it. But that we don't want to just hand out free lunch. We think that the Dems are to quick to hand out aid instead of seeing if it is really needed. So we see you as a bleeding hart that wants to give out aid "just in case"... And you see us as a group that does not want to help anyone. So NO Government will fix it. As a Dem you think the Government should help. As a Rep I think that giving them money to fast and to easily just lets them get lazy...Maybe not all, but enough that there is a problem. As a Rep I think the INDIVIDUAL should be more responsible for his/her future. I also think that if you really want to move up you can. As a Dem you think that you can't overcome adversity on your own. See we will never agree. I agree that there are times when even the best intended need help...And that the injured or disabled need help. But when I see able boddied people not doing anything to make their life better since we will support them...Thats fucked up. And given the choice of giving to soon or to much and maybe reinforcing them to be lazy and dependent, or making them work to move up and help them along the way.... I'm going to have to side with INDIVIDUAL responsibility every time. Its who I am. I think the current system breeds dependency. Will the right wingers admit their hypocrisy and partisanship?

Given the choice between a guy that I think will do what he thinks is the right thing. And will stay the course once he starts. VS. A guy that bounces back and forth on an issue depending on what the polls say. Never being able to make a choice because he can't pick a side, and changing his mind once he finds his choice was poorly recieved. I'll take the first guy. The second guy will become paralized by not knowing what to do, or who to listen to. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
I have been involved in the cases in Memphis, Tampa, and Chicago. In all but the Chicago case the guy won big money....In Chicago..They guy was an idiot that needed to be fired. In one case he didn't check his COMAIL for 3 mths. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

If he could show a good plan that the bleeding harts would not try and stop....I'd vote for him. I don't think that it's OK to accept the status quo..just cause the correct path is to hard. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Sure its fair...Stupid, but fair. My issue with Kerry is that he does whatever he thinks will make him popular...no matter how many sides he has to take to get that result. I have said several times that he is a war hero. It is him selling his fellow countymen out, admitting to commiting war crimes, lying to people about his service, and changing sides with the tides that makes me not like him. If you can prove its over the tie and the tie does not say "Fuck You" in big block letters... He can sue and win...Trust me. I have been involved in these types of cases. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

If those were my only two options...I would have to go with the more compasionate one. I'd rather pay MORE to make sure freeloaders don't get a free ride than pay less and let them ride for free. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

True, but you fight against the greedy warmongers who wish to enslave the poor... And I fight against the lazy shirkers squirting out babies. I have no desire to go to war, and I have no desire to enslave the poor. What I do desire is that only those than NEED help and are willing to WORK get help from me. I want people to recieve what they are willing to EARN. That means no free handouts to people who are not wanting to do more than get the free handout. Sick, disabled, mentally ill....I can see helping them, and I have no problem with it. People who due to circumstances that they could not help...Getting laid off, ect..I have no problem helping. People who would rather sit around and get high than work....I have no pity for them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
