Hmmmmmmm let's see 5'8 nice body, and good looking. I dunno. It should not have to be that way to get on a load. I am not going to dis agree with that. As stated by you or others it does have to do with attitude as well. From the general consensus of this thread though maybe ya'll could learn to be a little more attentive to someone new on the dz. Possibly even designate an individual to get people onto some loads. I know we can have them jumping all day due to experience level but it should not be near impossible for someone to jump with a group. Solo jumping sucks because there is no reference. First of all Andrea it is your Home DZ. I would hope that they would recognize your accomplishments. Second you do not just get invited onto jumps. You either have to know people or ask if you can join. At Deland if they do not know you you cannot Join. At Z-Hills we have several organizers who cater to all levels. We have many industry types who hang out at the Hill and in the summer when we are closed on Tuesdays there are BBQ's for the staff and others who would like to join. Not trying to be rude or harsh but the atmosphere is stiff there. I personally have the luxury of knowing people and being in the sport for a long time. But when a novice skydiver goes there to get an "A" card done and not one person helps that individual that is just wrong. It destroys a persons self confidence and makes them wonder why they started in the first place. This is a fun sport and we need to help the up and coming skydivers. The person I am referring to above did AFF at another DZ not Deland but then decided to go there for the completion. Was not able to get it done. No one even took time to tell this person about the SIM. I mean C'mon. All DZ's need to try and be more friendly to new commers. The first impression is a lasting one. Hey Congratulations there Girlie!!!!!!!!!!! You definitely deserve it. I know how hard you have worked. I cannot believe it. It seems like just yesterday we were doing your 100TH. Too bad I missed your 200TH. Maybe I can be there for your 1000TH I cannot believe you were in Lake Wales and did not buzz me though. Oh well, there is always another time. I wanted to goto Spaceland this weekend for the $15 to 15,000 but I am working on getting my rating current and up to date. I want to instruct again. I really enjoy it.

Well if that is the case then they probably will not have enough people to make it worth while. Not to mention that it does not make sense. I spent over 10-1/2 years on active duty. I am sure I can get on orders though if that is what they want. You Little woman!!!!!!!!!!! You know I LOVE YA!!!

I have got one better than that. I have done 10+ Tandems in a day and was still there to party till the break of dawn. It is all in the training my friend. Once again Congrats to you Angela. I apologize for disappearing all day. I am just trying to keep up with everyone at the DZ. Just know that when I am at the DZ I am thinking about jumping and helping people learn. We had two great jumps. The next time you come I will introduce you to some freeflyers. Another idea would be to dragg SunnyDee with ya. Ya'll are both welcome to crash. The condo is not huge but there is enough space. Just remember it is quiet time after 10P.M. Hey Ray: We did not actually get introduced this past weekend. It was nice to meet you. I actually reconized you because of your avatar. Thank you for coming down and supporting the Swoop Competition. Too bad it could not have been on Monday though, there was no wind. I believe Deland is fun. I did my time before second Bridman Jump there with Chuck (SkyMonkeyOne) this year. I had a good time even though we only had time for one jump because it was in the middle of the week. That is not a good restaurant, it is an AWESOME restaurant. The best one I have seen so far which is why I do not understand why everyone goes home after jumping. Of course I have not been to the West coast to jump but it is the best eating/drinking establishment on any DZ I have been on and I have jumped all through the South. From Texas to the East coast I have been to a majority of the DZ's. I will say that if you are a new jumper it seems hard to get in and taken care of. I say seems because I am not going to judge any staff where I do not jump. I have the luxury of being in the sport awhile now and I know many people all over. Deland has definitely gotten team oriented over the years. That is not a bad thing though. It is definitely a prime location for teams. It is not too far from the tunnel. I grew up in the Deland area and sadly at the time I did not know about Skydiving otherwise I would have been jumping as a teenager. When I got off Active Duty that is where I had intended to move back to. Some circumstances brought me to the Tampa area though and I started Jumping and Working at Z-Hills. Since coming off active duty I have had a string of bad luck but the Z-Hills Family took care of me. I am very happy now. If I ever moved though the only other place I would go is to Deland. Anyway, that is my small opinion. It really does not matter where you go in Florida or the world. I believe that every experience is what you make of it. If you go with apprehensions then you are going to find only bad things. I personally try to find the good things and dwell on them. It makes life much more enjoyable. Take Care Ray. I believe that there was one Sensei out there. RDutch(Deland) on the forms here, a couple of others from Deland who I must apologize b/c I do not know everyone's name. It takes training to hang with the Monkey-Man!!!!!!! When I was at Raeford for the Fourth I put his ASS to bed every night. I watched the sunrise then I took a nap before jumping. The only thing that made the drive back bearable was SunnyDee123. She is awesome company & Jumper I might add.

for the record I have only one documented flatline when I was 12. The nurses lost my vitals after giving me a shot. They did not even tell my Mother what was going on. There is actually no telling how many times I have though. I have been involved in some unusual incidents where I was unconcious for a time. People who know me say I have more lives than a cat. If you like warmth then FLorida. The only thing we do not have is Mountains. Although with MOuntains there is usually cold as some point. In Florida you can do many different things and all of it is relatively close by. There is Skydiving (Several Turbine DZ'S to choose from), The Beach, Theme Parks, Water Parks, Scuba, Springs. The Bahamas are very close and easy to charter a boat to. Cruises day only or extended ones. All kinds of sports. Did I mention it rarely gets cold?
