  1. I kind of liked the video of the naked tandem girl who had the rather "Meaty Lips". I think Luigi could have landed those things!!!!
  2. Have you ever seen the Chapelle's show where they have the player haters ball? If you havn't, the skit is about all these pimp type dudes who just talk shit to everyone and each other. It was pretty funny, and we talked a bunch of shit to every one there at the WFFC. We even had our own swoop course set up a little south of the pond by our camp site. We used orange marking paint and wrote "Swoop Haters" down the swoop lane, and installed a bunch of noodles to kick.
  3. I had never tried freestyle, because we don't have a pond up here in Colorado. I didn't think the best time for me to first try a lazy boy or superman was over a gravel road with the DA at the DZ being 8,000+ MSL It seemed like the thing to do at the time I guess. I knew I had no chance what so ever of even coming close to winning
  4. Upon video review, the canopy was stalled just prior to the end cell touching the water. That was my firt time trying a carve with that much power behind it, and I guess it was a little to much power. Also the round before was my first time trying a "lazy Boy". That wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but I didn't quite get to the end of the pond, so I was already wet going into round three. I guess I just thought "what the hell... Go big or go home" I went big and then went home the next day. hahahahahahahah I learned a lot that day. Like I said, I have never done freestyle.
  5. What's up RAY? No we didn't do any "Shoe Shopping" on this trip, but judging from all the town girls from the age of 17 to 21 being pregnant, I believe they did enough of their own "Sho Shopping" there. I just got out of the AF so I'm un-employed, and just hanging out for now. I'm getting ready to start school this semester, something I havn't done in 8 years, but I'm looking forward to it. Did Deland get any effects from the storms? That sucks balls about Lake Wales.
  6. I also got a dead spot in the screen a while back, and I couldn't figure it out for the longest time until you guys started to talk about the back plate. I changed my wrist band and re screwed the back plate on and then I got the dead spot in the screen.
  7. I forgot to mention another casualty of the WFFC... My Neptune has died from a rather unfortunate wing over incident in the swoop comp. Unfortunatly my neptune wasn't as waterproof as they claim they are.
  8. Thank you for your possitive vibes and congratulations on you A liscense even though you didn't sign my log book.
  9. I just wanted to let all of you know that the Swoop Haters have successfully returned to Colorado from Rantoul. The only injury we sustained was the passenger side mirror being knocked off of one of our cars from an AFF level 3 student plowing into our car (the student was O.K., but the instructor needs some radio refresher training!!!!!... Claud...) Fortunately we were able to repair the vehicle, using our superior mechanical talents. Also, this being my first boogie to have ever attended, I am now setting out to drink the case of beer that I owe. I had a very good time. Thanks to all who set the WFFC up, and to those who worked the gates keeping the riff raff out of our wonderful party.
  10. Good GOD when will this damn thread just fucking DIE!!! I know I'm just as much to blame but let's not feed the troll's any more. I'm sick of tis damn thread popping up with new post's in it. Take it to the BONFIRE, and troll there. Spizzzarko MAybee they'll make me a moderator for this post
  11. She is the regional director for the mountain area (Colorado, utah ect), but she must be real busy because we never see her at Canon city.
  12. A collegiate... This could turn out to be good for you if she couldn't pay for it...
  13. I was an F-15 crew chief at Edwards for the first 4 years, and then a parachuting instructor at the Academy for the last 4 years.
  14. Most of them were officers. Don't get me wrong, there's lots of good people in the AF, but there were some pretty shitty ones at my last assignment. That entire team thing that the military preaches, didn't seem to apply to them. I got out because I chose to, the AF didn't get rid of me, and as far as the attitude thing goes... Yes, my attitude was changed by some of the shitty officers I served with.
  15. ASVAB scores do count for a lot. Scorring high will open up that job list for you. It's not anything to sneeze at.
  16. Dude, All the FAGS out there saying Navy people are Gay, should probably find out a little more about what they are talking about before spouting off at the mouth (keyboard in this case). Some of the best people I have ever met where in the Navy. Some of the worst people I have ever met are in the Air Force. I just got out of the Air Force after 8 years of active duty. Now for the advice... 1. DO NOT TRUST YOUR RECRUITER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you seeing a trend here? Recruiters not only have a quota of people to enlist every month, but they need to fill certain jobs. A lot of the time they will tell you that you can change jobs after you come in. I'm not sure about the Navy, but yes you can change jobs in the AF (after 3 years of Active Duty in that carreer field, and when you can change jobs the AF has you pick 5 new jobs out, and then they choose one for you). To allieviate this problem, you NEED to have the job you want picked out, and then tell the recruiter what this job is. When he or she tells you that job is un-available then you tell them to call you when it is available. Expect a call in about 3-5 days "Hey Nathan, I did a bunch of searchin' and I found a slot for you in the job you wanted, but you don't leave untill next year, but I have this other job for kitchen cleaner, that leaves next week. Are you interested?" Hold out for the job that you want. Once you actually get through Basic training, and start the school for the job that you want, then you need to study your ass off. In the AF if you fail out of some Technical School then they put you into another job (I.E. kitchen cleaner). Also don't think that your grades in tech school don't count after you get started doing that job you have trained for. How well you do, has a tendancey to follow you, and will pop up when you least expect it. 2. BE THE GREY MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basic traing sucks. There's no other way to describe it, and any one who tells you it was fun is a satist. Be the grey man, by not making waves, try not to stick out. Let the drill instructors yell at every one else. When I went through basic, we had some dude who was awesome at being the greyman. It was evident about a week before basic graduation when the Training Instructor came across this guy and asked him "Who the Hell are you? When did you get transfered into this flight?" "I didn't sir, I've been here since day one." "Oh..." I can't even remember his name, he was that good. 3. Your military career is what you make of it... It can be a great time, or it could be really shitty. Try not to let the everyday queep get to you. Everybody is there to do a job, and sometimes they get spun up about little things. Try to take a step back and see how big your current crisis is in the grand scheme of things. 4. Try not to do stupid things... Always ask your self how will this affect me or my buddies before doing something illegal or against the rules. There are usually two ways of doing things the military's way and again. Try not to start off having to do it again. Some times what you are doing may not make since, but that's the way it's done, and usually that's the way it will continue to be done. It kind of goes back to not making waves. In conclusion: 1. ask yourself "Is what I'm doing or about to do going to help me in the long run", 2. be the grey man and not make any waves, 3. study your ass off, 4. keep your spirits high there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, 5. have fun. Good luck brother, your about to change your entire life, but I fell it's probably for the better.
  17. Was she naked? Just how drunk was she?
  18. Is there any one that you know of using the E mod on Vx's or the reverse e mod on the VX's? I mainly fly the VX, but I purchased a velocity for the better openings to fly camera with. I'm not super fond of the velocity, but I think it's because I'm used to the VX. It sucks having to change from one type of canopy to the other, I feel I don't really learn as much going back and forth about either canopy, and they both fly rather differently.
  19. Looking at pictures isn't the most effective mode of learning. You can't really tell where they are in the swoop when they are transitioning. A lot of it is also pilot dependant. Each swoop is different.
  20. You should switch from rears to toggles when the rears feals in-efficient. This happens a lot earlier than you may think. Making that huge transition from rears to toggles if you cary the rears to long is far more in-efficient than tranferring early.
  21. I would just tell her, "Look this is how it's going to be...", and if that doesn't work then beg borrow and steal. hahahahahaha Just kidding.
  22. Forget about silhouette for swooping. You have to get an elliptical/semi-elliptical wing loaded at 1.2 minimum just to start to have fun. Wow, That's a pretty asinine thing to say, and you might want to rethink a few things if you really believe that. Swooping is done with speed carried over from an approach, and can be done on almost any canopy. It's not a matter of the type of canopy, but how good the person is underneath it.
