  1. I gotta admit I didn't look at the whole thing, so I went back to see all of the pics and some of the comments. I like this one "Roberta Mancino>Anais Zanotti" A pretty girl is a pretty girl, but I like the ones that are . . . relaxed about it all.
  2. Wow, she's beautiful. I'd be glad to do AFF with her any time.
  3. One of my favorite sayings is "The more you know, the less you need."
  4. How DO you land a tandem canopy each and every time? Good question. I've slid in lots of tandems. I've never tried to run one out though...... I've done both. I can't imagine what Chemist is thinking.
  5. How DO you land a tandem canopy each and every time?
  6. I don't want to contradict your instructors and the whole world, but out of my 10-11 cutaways, I've never once "cleared" the cutaway cables. Believe me, you can feel when that main releases and I personally feel the best thing you can do at that point is keep your feet on your @$$ and pull the reserve. Then hang on to both handles. You'll get back in the air much faster (and cheaper) that way.
  7. Extra $$$ and a tip, I'd be cool with that. Esp. considering the dude was in great shape, I bet. I'm just tired of lugging couch potatoes out the door, way over our posted weight, for not a dime more. My back is tired.
  8. Basically, I've taken two linebackers. I've done a couple of 6'5"+, 275-ish. Last guy I asked him what he weighed and he said "I'm approaching 275." I wanted to ask him "From which direction?" With a sign in the office that says "220 max" and no fat fee, I don't feel I'm obligated, even at my weight of under 180, to take those big dudes. Not for the same pay.
  9. I don't want no 261+ . Hawaii= $35 but tipping is very common, average $15. Fat fees start @ $1/pound over 200. Home DZ in WA= $45, tipping is uncommon. No fat fees, although our policy is supposed to be no one over 220.
  10. Whatever it takes to ease the pain.......Everyone for poor midwest kids to international superstars. There is an opiate with your name on it, just waiting to claim you. Damn, that's a shame, but it seems all too common. Opiate deaths, both from illegal drugs and prescription pain pills, are on the rise in this country. Yet marijuana is still illegal in most states and in federal statutes.
  11. Inquiring minds want to know. . . Yeah, lot of money to spend when most people have a digital scale in the bathroom. Before, after, a little math . . . Voila!
  12. That's a helluva nice setup. I hope your students appreciate getting that good of training. Do you just leave a pull-up cord or closing tool in the closing loop full time?
  13. Thanks. You may have made a big difference in that woman's skydiving. Yes, the real thing is much different from most training harnesses. Did she use good technique? Such as pulling (punching, actually) each handle straight down?
  14. Hey, true love means violating that restraining order. . . Too soon?
  15. Funny. And I was expecting a toilet with ruler markings in the bottom. I don't know if that thing would be too accurate, what with your feet being on the floor. I wonder if the instructions are to hold your feet up while you go.
  16. I liked all your posts. Esp. the vegan that cries when someone buys an SUV. Hey, women want real men, right? Then they want real men that quit doing the manly stuff. That ain't right, Hoss.
  17. Cat has always been one of my favorite instructors. She's amazing. :)
  18. I've landed using only rear risers maybe a dozen times, not much, but enough to say it can be safely done. Talk to a local canopy coach about it.
  19. Toggle fires, to me, means there is a problem with the gear or with the packing. There's no good reason they should come undone. Anyone else have an opinion on this?
