    My life is great. Wife, family, friends, I've been blessed with the best of all. I just wish my wife had the health to enjoy it. That really is the most valuable thing you can have.

    I wouldn't walk across the street to see that. You know, she looks okay for having had 14 kids, but not for doing that. I hope she finds some dignity some day.

    We've got a lot of women in my field. Many of them are very damn good at it, better than many of the guys. Doesn't seem to be a gender divide that I can see, just an abliities divide, I hate whiners of BOTH genders, and believe me, I work with a bunch of them. I think all Nataly wanted was a shot at some of the better jobs, not a 1950's housewife role.

    Yeah, and I bet it's 115 degrees in the shade down there right now. No, that's a pretty sweet flight line you got there too. There's a LOT of perfectly good airplanes to jump from. I tell people that's the only kind of plane I WANT to ride to altitude in. BTW, I'll skip the Twin Beech sitting in the middle. I've already spent too many hours in those things already.

    Have you ever seen BOC live? Black lights and cowbell, approaching levels of ill never seen before!

    I have that same reservation. Most people can see the show as dark humor and social commentary and walk away a little more thoughtful, perhaps. But there are always a few that will take it as an inspiration. We've always had psychopaths and sociopaths, but must we make such efforts with our media to spur them on?

    Good idea. That whipped cream gets rank in the summer. Can't find my last pie pictures but it was Vskydiver and a couple of other lovely ladies administering the "whipping". That always makes it a little better.

    Economically we're fine. I'm still working because I love my job. One thing? That Vskydiver could enjoy normal health.

    Thanks for the advice. Vskydiver and I still haven't made our first balloon jump yet.

    There's not much arch in that spread X. Sure, it's fine for stable freefall with a big ole belly wart reserve weighting you down on the front. But for modern gear and esp. if your exit is a little wobbly, you need to ARCH with your hips forward to gain stability. Now, if part of your problem is flat spins, a big X shape will slow you down slightly and maybe fix the asymmetry that's making you turn. There are better techniques, though, for that.

    Seattle used to have a FSDO supervisor (whom I knew) that hated skydivers and skydiving and used his resources to harass one of the most reputable DZ's for quite some time. Those FAA inspectors are often enamored with pilots and couldn't care less about skydivers. I agree with every bit of your statement. Please, everyone, email the FAA with input on this Notice of Proposed Rule Making for the PLA. It's your chance to make your voice heard. We've defeated other goofball proposals over the years. I sure want this one defeated.

    My 20 yo son is working as a tunnel instructor until the FAA picks him up for air traffic control. He can already out-freefly me.

    About $5 a bottle in the box for what can be some very drinkable wine. I'm not a big vinophile, so I have no idea what those others may cost, but I'm sure it's a bit more. I like the box wines just fine.
