We took the other route. We talked to our kids, tried to broach subjects honestly that can be hard to talk about, depression and suicide being one of them. Can't say our kids haven't had rough times, everyone does, but so far, so good. Crossing fingers. . .

Those type of balloons typically do about 1000 ft/min climb rate. Felix is getting about 1200 ft/min. I hope he can top out maybe a little above 125K. No sky too high, right?

Do you think anyone puts any stock in his denunciations, though? It's only bullying if the victim feels bullied. If the victim is bored/amused/giving it back then it's just grade school bickering, IMO. Amanda's case was a little bit of sexual blackmail, too, if I understand it correctly. Interesting POV, though.

I watched it again. Maybe it's the wide angle lens or the slow mo, I don't know. It just seems like he left early, disappeared low and then opened a little high. I don't like losing track of people below me. Makes me nervous. Similar thing happened at our DZ once. The guy backed off 50 feet and pulled high, but on level with everyone else. @ Pops - If there's a problem with my reserve, I don't want much time to think about it . . .. Just kidding. But I trust it quite a bit and am comfortable opening at normal altitudes with it.

That is heartbreaking. I've got 3 daughters, all of whom we've tried to raise to be strong, and I think we've done okay. I think ours know we would support them and love them even thru something like that. I wish Amanda would have realized how much people loved her and how unimportant a photo or two was. That guy that blackmailed her is scum and should be in jail for manslaughter.

Valinda and I always eat too early in Europe. We wonder why such a great restaurant is so empty. Then we wander past hours later and it's packed.
