Ya ain't propped a jump plane, until you've propped a jump plane . . . standing on ice.

Super cute girls. Are they models or jumpers?

I first I thought they were just pinup pics, certainly something I like. Closer examination showed themes, conflicts, nightmares and philosophies on parade. Very interesting work. I thought Eve (with the snake and apple) had outrageously plump lips, but on second thought, naw, they're just amazing.

I liked that low tech solar still for fresh water. That's a simple device that could improve life for millions of people. It's amazing the see the elegant engineering solutions coming from all the minds.

Beautiful bird. That's a shame she won't be flying anymore.

These guys are younger than me but have accomplished a lot in their careers. Craig Girard Andy Farrington Luke Aikins -
Those are totally not the fault of the AAD, I agree. Same here. You have to play the odds.

Really, with so many truly obscene things in the world, this little photo shop job is offensive?

Next time get a trickle charger. Used to use them on my motorcycles in the winter months. http://www.harborfreight.com/automatic-battery-float-charger-42292.html Good luck with the car. I'd try jump starting it and see where it goes from there. Some of the electronics may take a while to settle down too.

Very funny. That whole briefing had a certain ring to it.

You both are beautiful. Alix's fiance must be happy to see his wife has such a gorgeous mom. It bodes well for his future. I hope the weekend is as relaxed and wonderful as the two of you look in that photo. Enjoy every moment of it. -
Need some advice on dealing with family

Back when that was the tallest thing in town. -
That's not a bad thing. I noticed most of my old friends didn't have very exciting lives. Almost 40 years later as a part time instructor and I'm not burned out yet. Keeping a balance in my life has kept it fun. I do have to admit my ~200 jumps a year pale in comparison to the 1000+ jumps a year by the full time guys, but my 401K probably looks better.

Mmmm, those sound purrr-fect.

When you gonna come up to Seattle and make a tandem with me? I'll let you steer the chute and stuff. . . -
I've only done one tandem with the student wearing a GoPro handcam. I had to point the video a bit for the student, but that was additional services, not required on my part. I found it not distracting or a hazard to the jump. How well their video turned out I don't know. I've also had people jump with small still cameras on their wrist and they've taken pictures both in freefall and under canopy. Once again I haven't found it to be a problem. It certainly keeps them from grabbing my hands and handles.

I didn't know you were German.

Need some advice on dealing with family

We told our kids, as they moved into the teenage years, that we would all of a sudden be stupid and drive them crazy. We told them that was normal, that it was nature's way of making them want to leave the nest. We're down to one teenager at home and we enjoy her company very much. I really would like her to stay around a while longer. I think people were happier when several generations lived within walking distance of each other. -
Everybody knows . . . sex sells!

Amen, Brother!

I like the look.

I'm no expert but I would think the exterior wall would have a continuous load bearing top plate running straight past the bump out. Removing the studs beside the closet door could be problematic, but nothing a header couldn't pick up. You'll need a real framer to tell you exactly what to do.

Well, us guys are okay but you're probably diagnosing your own shortness of breath.

Really? Any women do that?

No dime for human curiosity? Oh, come on. It's such a small part of the budget and science, even pure science, can eventually reap huge rewards.
